Thanks to Haiku for the feedback but just a couple of small things to clarify.
It was not really an A-ha moment as such. The Depressive had planned the alliance with SHIT almost from the very minute the personalities re-emerged months ago.
The brief increase in Manic's importance came with the return of Kravinoff, someone who the Manic identified as his best friend. So with SHIT getting into physical altercations with Hunter and Manic unwilling to accept that Kravinoff was no longer his friend, it started to undermine the BarboSHIT alliance. However, the real trouble began when Barbosa and SHIT started to lose matches - not winning the tag titles or the Lethal Lottery. Then the Manic could point to SHIT leaving Barbosa at vital times or attacking Barbosa's friends and even "attacking" Barbosa himself, no matter how explainable. That worked on the dislike of everyone that the Smoker had and even had the Depressive doubting his plans.
However, the attack by the Holmesian Triad showed that the Manic was essentially blaming everything on SHIT even when proof to the contrary so it was more a "yes, our original plan is still the best option" rather than a true Eureka moment.
