WZCW Discussion Thread

Concerning Smith/Rush vs Saxoteur, I don't think we deserve a title shot, at all. As a matter of fact, I even talked to JGlass about it a few days ago. Smith and Rush have, by all accounts, been a flop in the tag team division. Then again, neither of us had really been planning to be in the tag division until we both lost the Lottery and were given a few ideas to kick around. It's a shame that the feud has failed to deliver -- and I'll take a lot of the credit for that -- but there's nothing I can do to change the plans. Also, it's not as if this is the first time someone has looked rather underwhelming and still gotten "rewarded" for it, so to speak (sorry Ech, but Celeste Crimson, anybody?). I'll do whatever I can to make the feud work in the next few weeks, but I genuinely am disappointed with how it has gone.

A couple of months ago Lee was on a dry spell with Titus, and then he won that battle royal and then two rounds later he was challenging for the WZCW title.

I never saw any problem with knowing we were going to face Smith and Rush at KC, and in fact I was really happy my last match was going to have Rush in it [Not to discount you, Crock, but my love of Rush as well as kayfabe interactions with him are well-documented]. I don't really see them as undeserving because of how strong they were just a little while ago and because of the storyline which again I was happy to help build.

It's gonna be a great match no matter what, y'know? It's the way the plans fell and I'm fine with it, really. No one else I'd rather be facing at this point.

I disagree about not earning the title shot. You two have been working together for months and gave the midcard a sense of establishment. You both played very solid and different roles in the midcard while maintaining a working relationship and when the time came to pick challengers for Saxoteur with Strikeforce tangling with TSA and the Bearded Gents sadly done, creative (I wasn't there yet) decided to go with what was successful before with you two.

I haven't needed to beat you. You even best my lackeys. Not that winning would be a problem. You have had two goes and not got it done.
