I did. Mind; blown

That final scene of all the fallen angels raining down was... Beautiful? Just really great, and left me hooked

Lady friend and I are watching the seasons and are getting through season 2. Watched Usual Suspects, one of those meh episodes, but not bad

Yeah it was pretty epic, though I don't really see the Monster of week episodes being really plausible with the Angels just roaming Earth. That's kind of been a problem with the show for a bit, things are just so much bigger at this point that spending a week on catching a run of the mill demon/vampire seems a bit tedious.

Season 5 will always be the best of the series to me, mostly because it was meant to be the end until CW ordered more because of the ratings.

My favorite episodes are actually the ones with the Reaper in them. I usually don't like when shows get preachy about death, but for this series it works. I also really like how Reaper isn't portrayed as the cloak and bones?

Why are we speaking in spoilers?

Yeah the actress who played Tessa was pretty hot, In My Time of Dying was one of my favorite episodes. Along with the other one Tessa was in on Season 5.

I think we were trying not to spoil anything for anyone. I'd say let's go to the official thread for the show but I think Dagger made it in a non-spam section.

Graaargh, I'm so bored. Someone give me a good TV show to watch. Baring in mind, I've already seen all of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Homeland.

Pub, go to the pub.

Captain Scarlet

A suitable alternative to the pub.

One thing that always made me laugh with Captain Scarlett, is he'd rush to his death to save the day and everyone in the show would be like "Oh my God, he's so brave!"

I'd be like "The cunt can't DIE!"

One more new guy to debut and I am a second page character. I guess I am no longer one of the new guys.

Well, he was killable - high voltage electricity would have killed him.

Colonel White comes out with a good line regarding Scarlet's indestructibility. As usual Scarlet has saved the day and died in the process but in the process he broke all kinds of rules and White is screaming at his prone, bullet-ridden corpse that he will have him hauled before a court martial for striking a superior officer and gross insubordination.

"But sir, I don't think you understand. This man is dead!"

"That's no excuse!"

I didn't know about the electricity.

Stuff like that put Captain Scarlett above even Thunderbirds for me, a real bit of grit that I don't think is amiss in kids television, I grew up on it and I am okay. . .

And while you never really worried about Scarlett there was always a sense of peril for the other characters, sometimes the bad guys (who I am not entirely even sure were bad to start with, didn't Captain Black attack them unprovoked?) would win.

Yeah, there is an episode (Operation Time) where Spectrum find out that extremely high voltages can nullify the effects of the "retro-metabolism" that makes Scarlet indestructible. In the same episode, they find out that they are impervious to x-rays too.

On a story-telling level, yes, I would put Captain Scarlet ahead of Thunderbirds but the latter still remains my favourite.

The thing about the Mysterons is that they did achieve their objectives on several occasions - they kill the Director General of the United Asian Republic, they destroy the Second National Bank in New York, an observatory in the Himalayas and an irrigation plant in South America, severely damage an Arctic mine, and Spectrum fail to capture Captain Black on several occasions.

However, I personally never thought that they were truly out to win. They were so superior to Earth's forces/technology/abilities that they could have annihilated it at any moment with no real effort.

It was truly a "War of Nerves" (something that the new series, while perfectly fun viewing, failed to recreate) with the Mysterons essentially toying with Spectrum at every turn.

Creative must like since you won last week. Impressive since Falkon is a heavy hitter, and JAM shows potential.

I hardly ever create heavy hitting RP's these days... that'll change soon.

If you read the shows and there are mistakes, just tell creative to knock it off.

Hey creative can I book a theme song as potentially I may be going for a change but don't want it to be knicked. Ta.

Sure - send it our way.

I haven't been in a match with an extension for a while, so just to double check:

Since Strikeforce got an extension, everyone in my match gets one too, correct?

Yes, this is correct. Also, it has been discussed in the back that we will just go ahead and move the deadline back a day since only four matches don't have an extension. Standby for an announcement in the WZCW.com area.

And here I thought you were using Sandy to put over the undercard, so that the low men could say that they defeated a former WZCW champion, only to bring back Kurtesy and bury us all.

Where's that photo of Kurt Angle with a shovel?

I'm going crazy trying to decide how to format my RP. I didn't particularly like how I did it last time, so I was thinking of going for more of a novel-like format. Though that just looks like I'm copying off my opponent...

lol that'll teach me for making a joke post asking for the deadline to be shortened to give me an advantage against Dave.
