I'm sure Sam Presti is kicking himself for extending Perkins contract. I love the big guy, but he has been a shell of himself since we got him from the Celtics. We really needed a low-post scorer this series. Randolph and Gasol are just too good. I think we could of won the series had everyone showed up on the same night, but the inconsistency of shots falling and rebounding was a like a checkerboard amongst our roster. As for Durant, he was just tired. He was 5 of 22 last night. Kevin Durant, the second best player in the league, was 5 of 22. He short-armed a lot of shots and got throttled by Memphis' defense. All the credit in the world goes to Memphis for that.

The fact that Tony Allen, an All-NBA defender, was on him a lot certainly didn't help matters. Memphis game planned for Durant and did one hell of a job, I totally agree with you there. But yeah, Perkins was vastly overmatched this series. A few years ago, having Perkins on the team made sense -- he was the veteran anchor, and a pretty good defender -- since then, the guy has taken a significant step back and probably shouldn't be more than a back-up center. Their other options aren't much better -- Thabeet isn't exactly very good either, Randolph and Gasol were far too much for him to handle on the block -- and aside from maybe a small-ball line-up with Ibaka at the 5 and Collison at the 4, OKC had no viable line-up options to play against the Memphis bigs. Gasol and Randolph were too much for the Thunder.

EDIT: Tayshaun Prince did a surprisingly good job defending Durant, too. I'm too lazy to find the stats, but Durant had a tough time against him.

I would never wear a wrestling T shirt in public... I did however order a brisco brothers signed bandana last week. Dammit Mark, make haste with the stamps, I need my hillbilly bandanna.

I got a free meal once for my Punk shirt. My waiter was all like, dude CM Punk best in the world. Then he comped my meal. Good guy he was.

Show is done, but since we already announced that there would be an actual LD with a specific time, we are going to wait until that general time frame to put it out. As of right now, I'll be running the show and posting the segments up 10 minutes apart.

Even if it's done, you don't get it for those 4 Hours, 25 minutes ;)

Ah well, Eurovision Semi-Final 2 is enough to keep me going.

More like 48 hours for me now :(

You know when you are looking forward to something but it takes so long you lose all interest? All I can hope for is that it comes full circle by the time I get round to it, although I'd feel the same if I only had to wait four hours knowing the show was already done.

No excuses, but there is no way Memphis would of won that series if Westbrook hadn't got hurt. It was a great series none-the-less. I don't feel that they won it easy, but they definitely won it. It was not the Thunder losing it, if that makes sense.

I don't know if I agree with this. Westbrook is good, but they would haves stuck Tony Allen on him and, while I doubt Tony Allen would have shut him down, he would have definitely made life difficult for Westbrook. Couple that with the fact that the Thunder really didn't have an answer for Gasol and Randolph, and the Thunder would still have had a hard time beating Memphis.

I didn't realize that Allen was covering Durant, but that explains why he wasn't as explosive as he usually is. But I think the elite big men of the NBA are proving they're value this playoffs. Gasol and Randolph helped take down the Thunder, and West and Hibbert are likely going to take out the Knicks in a series most people were prepared to give to the Knicks. I'm genuinely nervous about the Heat and the Pacers. They had trouble with Boozer and Noah, and I think West and Hibbert are even better.

And Tayshaun Prince is one of my favorite players. Glad to see him get some props.

The thing is that each game came down to the last two minutes. Westbrook's ability to break down defenses and act as a dual defender cannot be overlooked. As a Thunder fan, I think the series would of looked a lot different with a top 10 player in Westbrook actively playing his role instead of a rookie in Reggie Jackson. Again, no excuses. Memphis won that series.

It's a two-way street, though; the Pacers will have a hard time defending the Heat when they go to their small ball line-up, and if it came down to who could score more points... Yeah, I wouldn't any issue taking the Heat there. Should be a great series, though. The Knicks choked (well, they may still come back, but I doubt it) -- Melo's playing like a ball-stopper, JR Smith can't get any buckets right now, and Tyson Chandler is being outplayed by Roy Hibbert. It's been a disaster for the Knicks.
