Mine has multiple subtle references. Well some are subtle, there are two or three I hit the reader over the head with. Also it features multiple languages and multiple mentions of boobs. Hehe boobs.

I think you could pull it off. His finisher should be a bear hug where he rubs the other guy's face against his chest hair and humps him when he squeezes harder.

This coming from a guy who made "a man dressed in cardboard who thinks he's a robot" not only work, but one of the best things going here.

I'm of the believe that any gimmick is workable depending on the determination & talent of the writer.
