WZCW Discussion Thread

Why does everyone want to tag? Lol, that place is cursed. The curse of the Wzcw tag division.

Easy title shot, and sometimes it just makes sense. MoM for example, we got paired up for a random tag match, and we'd submitted a tag application by the time the shows went live, got a shot at the following PPV and had a reign that took us into the top 5 tag reigns of all time.

I think Shotaro and I have something to do with it. We both had our first match in February, against each other no less, and had nothing to do back at LL. Here we are at the end of May, having just won the tag team titles at KC in the co-main event, taking them from the longest reigning tag team in fed history.

Just a thought

Yeah, that exact chain of events happened with me and Harthan, sans the aimless drifting part, and taking less time to complete the cycle. Except the tag team broke up after we lost the title, Harthan went back to Drake and I floundered with no inspiration or time for Stark. Thrown together tag teams with no longevity are a staple of the WZCW tag division. People fail to communicate (and that's the death of a Tag Team right there), or someone drops out, or there's a creative disagreement leading to lots of short runs and teams that don't last much longer. Look down the list of tag title holders and see how many teams are still active. Then look at the solo list and compare the numbers.

Breakdown in communication is a huge pitfall. Look at some of the recent teams, two of the teams formed after Strikeforce have already fallen because of that. Shotaro and I have a bit of an advantage, at least I feel we do, because we became good friends and talk fairly regularly. Plus I have no issue taking a back seat to his creative ideas.

I'm glad this topic came up, as it really repels me from the tag team division.
Of course I'm not set up as even a singles star yet...
But when I am, I even then probably won't form a tag team.
I would like to try it at least once later on (MUCH later), but if I can't handle it, then poop on that.

I've always wished I had some kind of Sting/Luger relationship, less for actually tag teaming; more just for creative purposes.

I'll be honest and say that I have thought of taking a break from Chris in the future and forming a brother type of tag team with someone where we would have the same last name and dominate the division.

Also, the idea of a face stable/coalition has been on my mind lately.

Yeah; totally had that fantasy myself. My suspicion is that it would get very dull very fast.

I don't know about Yazloz, but I would absolutely be interested in this, I think it would be good for the tag titles too to have them involved in a storyline like a stable.

I agree with Yazloz - the fact is we speak fairly often and it helps a great deal. (Thank you Xbox Live!) With regard to you taking a back seat you've come up with some great ideas that we've used too - though we seem to get stuck at the same time. I think another thing that helps is that I write my RP early and then there's always something for us to work around. Now that we've got the belts it's onto loftier ambitions - keeping the belts longer than Reynolds and Runn.

Makes me wonder who has the combined overall reign, and it also looks like I'm updating my sig. Does anyone fancy forming a team or does Triple X fancy a challenge? Time to make new records. ;)

I had a mayhem reign for less then 10 minutes too :(

Why am I listed as 3x Mayhem Champion? I won it 4 times. The first time after my debut, once during the Scramble, backstage at Redemption and finally when I beat Scott Hammond.

Thinking about Ballers post made me come back to you. And I'm pretty sure Phoenix (like most of creative) may have blocked out that dark moment of the Mayhem Championship as John Smith should've also had a less than a day reign and Hammond should've had a second reign of 1 show.

Yes you did.

Yup

Totally unretaled, but I noticed I have not been in a proper feud since October when I was feuding with Titus.

Marquel after his match said:
Referees and medical staff make their way down to the ring, a few helping Stevens limp out of the arena, but most checking on the condition of the vanquished champion, who is still unresponsive.

Callahan after his match said:
slamming Callahan straight through the glass of an empty pod. The crowd chants "Holy Shit" as there is glass everywhere and Callahan is in a heap...... The cage door opens as a few referee's and an EMT come to the aid of Callahan, checking on him with one referee updating Bomb on his condition.

Baller after his match said:
Baller then tells the fans to bow down to him as he positions himself, launching off to hit the Buzzerbeater... but again, Constantine has the wherewithal to move with Baller hitting nothing but canvas. This sparks a huge reaction and people begin chanting "holy shit" once more. Baller is barely moving from the fall as Constantine slowly crawls towards Baller......The door has opened and EMT's and referee's are at the aid of Baller, helping him out of the structure as soon as possible.

Tastic after his match said:
Tastic hits the steel floor on the outside whilst Rush remains inside the ring.......We see staff members help Tastic get out of the ring, getting another stretcher to help him out as soon as possible to keep the action going.

Black Dragon during and after his match said:
As he turns around, Barbosa runs at him, putting all of his remaining power and effort into the strike that connects with Dragon's skull. A loud crack goes around the arena as Dragon hits the floor once more, blood beginning to creep out of the bottom of his mask.........Dragon remains motionless in the center of the ring. EMT's and trainers begin to run down to the ring to check on Dragon, and Showtime steps off the turnbuckle. The medical staff quickly but carefully get Dragon out of the ring and onto a stretcher. Showtime climbs out of the ring and grabs the Eurasian Championship from the ringside assistant, quickly walking over to where Dragon is strapped in. The trainers and EMT's warn Showtime to stay away but Showtime shoves past them.

Steven Holmes during and after the match said:
Managing to summon an inhuman amount of strength from within his battered body, he manages to hit a Spider Suplex on Holmes! The Elite has his skin punctured by the glass!!.....A few EMTs rush down with a pair of stretchers. Holmes is rolled on to a stretcher and doesn’t fight it. Dave is offered one also but he refuses, instead he leans a couple of the EMTs who help him slowly up the ramp.

Big Dave during and after his match said:
Dave falls to the floor, showing his extreme lack of energy. Crawling slowly across the blood stained glass himself, he drapes an arm across the pincushion that is Holmes’ torso!.....Dave reaches the top of the ramp and is turned around by the EMT’s so he can take in the crowd one more time.

Gordito after his match said:
Officials and medical staff quickly rush to Gordito's side and begin checking him out

Snippets from TLC match said:
TLT is up, pushing the ladder over...and SEND STORMRAGE CRASHING THROUGH THE FOUR STACKED TABLES ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE RING!......The ref is over to check on Stormrage who is totally immobile in the wreckage of the tables.....BLT remains in a heap on the outside, referees attending to them.

Ty Burna after his match said:
Ty remains barely mobile in the ring.

Yep.
