WZCW Discussion Thread

I moved back to New Mexico. That's were I'm from. I recently moved to North Carolina and don't have a job so I'm playing poker. The games aren't as big but I take home around 300 a night.

For about the two years in California, I didn't have a job and we hosted a house game every night and I won about 600-1000 bucks a night.

You didn't have a job, and pulled in 600-1000 dollars a night? Either you were very lucky, with your life savings. Or you were playing with monopoly money. How does a jobless man, have the cash to buy into a game that runs out close to 1k in prizes a night?

If you were pulling in that kind of cash, lets say 5k a week, at least. You did say every day. That would come out to over 500k for two years.

Name a person, at 20 years old. Our age, that is making 250k a year, playing poker. If you were taking in that much, you should have signed up for the fucking Wpt, and went pro.

I've learned that unless someone no-shows, it isn't really your business unless you are in a match with them in some fashion.

Estamite dude, We played roughly about 4 to 5 times a week. 600 a night is about what I cashed out with. But If I sometimes wouldn't be winning. I would be in for a 300 or so 300 up isn't too bad. Sometimes I would lose too. I wouldn't go pro because the people I played with sucked. I'm ok but too much luck thats involved in it now.

How do you manage to keep and maintain that kind of cash in without a job? Surely you would have needed to tap in to the $300-600 dollars you won a night to pay for rent, living expenses, and travel, all those things need to go into account I just don't realistically see you being able to live off gambling.

Probably for the best. A good friend of mine is an avid poker player and is damn good by normal standards. He was thinking about going pro until he played a professional and got his ass handed to him.

You think people would do that? Just go on the Internet and tell lies?

I suppose I had better stop browsing Facebook and get on with writing my matches, huh?
