WZCW Discussion Thread

Fairy Tail has surpassed Naruto as my favorite series right now; Hiro Mashima's storytelling has imporved leaps and bounds.

FYI - I'm really interested in starting into it, but I honestly don't think I'll be able to until after finals. Might be as I can sneak in a few, but we shall see.

the first arc is only episode 2 and 3, second arc is episodes 4 through 8. Small arcs that get increasingly larger.

I haven't been able to enjoy anime, manga or anything that has to be drawn at some point since they slapped a bandwidth limit on my internet. :(

And the ponies have been replaced by a new cartoon.

On the whole I'm not an anime fan, partly due to how shit most of it seems to be, and partly because I just don't much care for the tropes of the medium (radical tonal shifts, no consistent geography, thank kind of thing). I recall that FMA and Death Note as being quite enjoyable, although I was honestly shocked by how objectively bad it was in places given its reputation as the magnum opus of the medium.

You seem like a Ghost in the Shell type of person; you'd probably like that.

I'm going to have to watch it now; just so if I can discern whether or not I should be offended; though I should probably finish up Wolf's Rain first - half way through, my interest waned somewhat when it became apparent that the show was never going to address my question of whether or not the protagonists possess opposable thumbs.
