WZCW Discussion Thread

I was curious while waiting for Aftershock to be posted and started reading the discussion thread from page one and some of the archives. It seems like it has come a long way and hit a lot of snags back in the day.

A lot of personal feelings and rivalries and ill will from other e-feds really came out of people. Bans and unbans, people quitting and coming back years later, people making irl threats. :wtf:

Honestly Ech I'm surprised you have been around through most it. Aren't you one of only two or three guys who have been around since the feds infant days?

On a side note I started on The Celeste Chronicles. Its a long read but so far its interesting

I was reading through some of the past trivia of WZCW and something caught my eye. Technically speaking Big Ace [Anthony Michaels] and I were informal members of creative when WZCW restarted. We were writers, but since we were both G Mods at the time we could see into the creative room anyway.

Most of the original members who signed up when the Fed restarted were actually forum mods trying to drive interest in the thing; we had Shocky, Xfear, AJ, Big Ace, Spiral, The Enforcer, Wotdoiput, Prax, Will, and Myself. I remember Jonny B acting as the 'unoffical' yet very offical head of creative.

Really WZCW as a whole probably has the richest history of any section on the forum.

Were you a part of the predecessor(s?) to WZCW, Ech? If I remember correctly the old fed was conducted over some form of instant messaging? "WZMania" seems to be something I recall hearing about, existing long before my time.

I was around before the fed was even created; I was on staff at the time so I actually got to help with some of the setup.

I remember several times when the drama overflowed into a ginat clusterfuck of chaos. I remember Jonny stripping Prax of his modmanship and banning him over problems with the fed because none of us could get along, all the issues surrounding Will, DC, and some others that boiled over into the Prison with several people being banned, and I think Jake actually deleted the entire fed only to bring it back a fews days later... things were quite awful in the beginning.

I came up with the idea's inside the Celeste Crimson chronicles in 2004, three years before I joined the fed.

I wasn't apart of that. I spent 2006 - 2007 in the Book This section; but I do remember the scandal which got that fed removed from WZ. It involved the distribution of information from our main board room onto other forums.

I'm glad you guys stuck it through and worked it out. Its a fun experience and even during down time between shows or breaks its nice to just talk a little about character development and stuff. Until my next writing job comes along this is a good way for me to still be creative and get some writing done

I really think that the guys that came after all of us old farts like Ty, Lee, Phoenix, and Ricky really helped to keep this place alive, and most importantly, a fun place to be.

Lee deserves a majority of the credit. Without him the fed wouldn't even exist. He helped build it up and his choices for Creative members were crucial to that as well. We really took the ball and ran with it after Phoenix took over, and I'm hoping we're doing alright with myself in charge.

Quick update, once my PB&J sandwich is in my stomach digesting, I shall get the boards ready and up.

Two updates actually, I shall be announcing the new Creative members tomorrow.

you let me come back so you're doing great in my book

We've got at 7 men on Creative at all times (except for the last couple of days) along with 3 shows to shove everyone on plus outside help from you guys to write matches every once in a while for Aftershock... we are really not that picky with people anymore.

And the boards are up!

I'm sure Falkon will swing through with his usual hype for each match :).

I moved the deadline to Wednesday as I can already see a number of people needing extra time due to Wrestlemania. I have no problem whatsoever with this. We're wrestling fans, this is our Super Bowl.

Oh and one final thing, The ShowTyme Express lives! *cue evil echoing laughter*

Well now this is an awkward predicament. Runn Reynolds Runn against the Dudes with Attitudes? Time to really work out a big one.

And thanks Ty for moving the time to Wednesday.
