WZCW Discussion Thread

Hey baskets of fun...

It's been unfortunate that I have not been able to post except for like 5 minutes in the last few days...but this moving in thing is owning me right now. Yesterday, I officially (via MSN - the paragon of official) put Monkey "in charge" of stuff until I give further notice. That being said...I gave him the assignment of putting the card up. However, I may get a chance to do 'er tonight. It won't be flashy with bells and whistles...it will have name v. name.

I will hopefully be in touch soon. Peace out friendlies.

I'm gonna try and get my RP up tonight. As usual, this RP will be free form, so if it's not up tonight, it means that I probably hated my concept or I decided to give it a few days.

Either way, happy RPing to all. I'll hold off on my feedback until the deadline.

EDIT: My RPs up. This is the first time I've wrote an in depth RP since the beginning of the year (unless you think my KC RP is "in depth"), so critism is welcomed.

Everyone: I wanted to apologize for whatever it's worth. Granted I'm not as gone as people think.. I still feel I contribute greatly to the overall product, none the less I have been absent recently.

I'm not going to get into it because quite honestly it's not important enough for everyone to know. (short of you really wanting to, at which point just ask if you must) The short of it is.. I'm still doing all I can, so if anything needs done, feel free to PM me about it.

I'm still also on a limited basis while the issues I have continue, but that isn't stopping me from being a main source for this e-fed, or this forum as a whole. Again, sorry if it's needed, for what it's worth.. and thank you for those who do know and understand.

I just had my RP finished, formated, and all I needed to do was add a single picture, and my computer crashed. So clearly, I'm upset. Should be up today anyways... grrrr....

Done My first RP on WZCW.It was a bit hard to decide where to start but once I started I got on a roll.May not be the biggest thing but I'm happy with it.Feedback would be nice. Also the thread with everyones RP's is handy.Lets you know what you up againist.

My RP is up Feedback is greatly appreciated. After the deadline i will make sure to leave Feed back on each RP that is up

From now on, I'm doing all feedback after the show, just like last time, I'm gonna do it by doing feedback on both RP's for a single match, then predit a winner.

Guys.. I find myself repeating this, and to be honest I'm getting a bit upset in having to do so. Can we PLEASE quit with the posts about saying your Rp is up and asking for feedback.

A.) All new posts are highlighted and in bold. If you're checking the e-fed like you should be, you'll notice someone else's RP is up. So you have no reason to have to tell the world.

B.) Quit asking for feedback. Everyone SHOULD be giving it to everyone else, to stay in the role of having fun and playing along with everyone else. But I'm seriously debating skipping over the people who intentionally ask for it.

All in all, we've handed out several verbal warnings over posting about your Rps and feedback. Next time "I" see it, it's an infraction. No if's, and's or but's.

This thread is for general discussion, so talk about the show, talk about the matches, talk about what you think could happen, what you would like to see happen, or anything from the new guys who've joined, to the events that've happened, to how the last show was. ANYTHING but "my Rps up, feedback please" because I'm sick of it.

If you wanna discuss Rps.. we have a thread for that too. Consider this the LAST warning.

I know it's probably not my place to do this, but the deadline is in about 4 hours, folks. Right now, we're missing RPs from:

Bowen
Murf!sh
Agrex
Apotheosis

Again, it's probably not my place to do this, but if you can get in contact with one of these four in ways other than PMing, I suggest you let them know they don't have much longer to get their RPs up. I'd love to see everyone get theirs up so we have a very competitive show and plenty of good matches.

My feedback will be up tommorow afternoon, after my *gulp* first day of school.

Umm I checked the rp thread and it said that the deadline was on the 27th. If this is wrong then I have been misinformed. I will still attempt to get it in asap. I have had things going on, not the least of which was a placement test for my highschool.

Nope, 27th is right. Our Elite X Champion just can't count. Evidently brains aren't needed with all that muscle :p

=I=

I may post a 2nd RP yet. I haven't quite a) decided and b) come up with an idea. And I promise that feedback shall be given when I get the time

The deadline of the RP's means until midnight on that night, so everyone has until midnight Wednesday. (thus meaning one more day of opportunity)

To add on, I'd like to get feedback on how everyone is feeling about the new "single RP thread" attempt. I want everyone to give positive or negative feedback, it's all welcome. I'll start by saying.. unfortunately, I'm a bit iffy on it.

It was mainly done so everyone would read everyone else's RPs, but short of everyone giving reviews after the deadline is up. (which seems to be what some are doing) I don't think anyone is reading all the Rps, but instead still skipping over them to post their own and hope it gets feedback.

I could care less about it staying or going back the way it was regarding what people read and don't read, but my dislike for the single RP thread is this...

I'm Rping against "MY" Opponent, not everyone else. It's really confusing to attempt reading "MY" opponent's RP, or not get too confused with another and think it's somehow tied into my opponent's. I've been RPing here for over a year, and I just got used to knowing only myself and my opponent's would be sharing a thread.

I fail to see how it hurts having multiple threads, only with the main reason we switched to doing it all in one thread.. which was the sole attempt to get everyone to read ALL the RPs.

So I'm asking, does everyone read all the Rps? I don't care if you say no, you won't be punished for saying no.. but I would at least hope you'll answer honestly. As a staff member, I MUST read all the Rps.. so regardless of it being one thread, or multiple ones.. I'll still have to.

Another downside is.. all the Rps one after the other, and you lose track of who's facing who, and whether "this" Rp out did "that" Rp, without skipping around to read each person then their opponent's Rps one after the other. (hopefully that makes sense)

Well for me personally, I read all the RPs no matter what. I read them because I wanted to, and the truth is, if other people don't want to read them, putting them in the same thread won't make them.

I mean, I wasn't really sure if it was a help or not at the start. But now I think it doesn't really matter either way, unless like Will said and you get confused by all the RPs. That would be quite easy to do. I personally think that the old method is better, but it doesn't matter too much either.

I personally like all the individual threads for two reasons.

1) I'm creative so I have to read everyones anyway lol, and it really DOES help to tell whose RP is better when it's just them RP'ing in the thread, you don't have to skip back multiple pages to see where so-and-so is.

2) It's great for searching. What I mean by that is I can go onto the Roleplay Archive and search for someone's name, and find every RP for a match they've done. Let's me read on their characters, their development, who they've improved etc. Makes it very easy for me to plan storylines and RP's based on their whole character, not just the last RP I can remember.

=I=

I agree that I prefer multiple threads, and I said that from the start. It just makes it a whole lot easier to figure out whos facing who. And I also read all RP's, which is made evident at the fact that I also do feedback for all RP's afer the deadline. and I think we need more people doing that as well, waiting till the shows are up before the feedback begins so that everyone gets a peice.

Multiple Threads > One big one

After using both of them I have to say Multiple Threads > One big one.

1) It's easier to see who's facing who
2) Easier to judge RP's

Basically what's already been said.

First of all I have to apologize for not getting feedback up yet, I've been on vacation this week and just got back to reading.

About the question going around for the multiple rp threads I believe that having individual threads for each match is the way to go.

Now I'll do in depth.

1: I don't mind the single thread but like I've read from others I like to be able to see my opponents rp alone and it makes it a little easier to focus on that.

2: I honestly don't read all the RP's, nothing against anybody personally, it just usually I don't have the time. I make sure I read my opponents, and I try to keep up by skimming all the RP's but I do try to read the main eventer's as well.

3: The one thing I did like about the single thread is you could basically rp for anything going on in the WZCW, kinda like my opponent did this week. He mentioned me, and then still went indepth about other things. Fact is you can do that in either format though so I guess I just wasted several lines of typing :)

Ah well whatever creative decides is cool with me, just let me know where to keep churning out roleplays at.

Take care and good luck everyone.

Hey guys, don't wanna spam or cause trouble, just wanted to see how things were going in the house I helped built :P. A lot of the old guys that were around when I was here changed names so I don't know who's who, but if anyone here was here when we opened the e-fed up (I recognize michigan on this page alone), drop me a PM.

How are things with the e-fed anyay?
