That would be a help Kermit, then I can put the people of said State down ;)

Also, Pancake & Sanka, if you see this, I've had a problem with my RP/Microsoft Word, I'll get it to you early tomorrow morning :)

Considering the expected weather, and my total unpreparedness for it...It seems it's tonight or never for my RP. Look forward to some epic crap from yours truly...

As if that's anything new lately :lmao:

Usally I think of the RP days before hand, forget everything, then try to write it 2 hours before the deadline... actually I sure that happens to most everyone considering the wave of RP's the board gets just hours before the deadline.

I usually have an idea for my next RP, as I'm writing my current one. I leave it a little open-ended, accounting for the results of the upcoming match. Then, after reading the match, I formulate a better idea, and let it stew a few days, then post it over the weekend, when I'm at work.

Not that this method has done anything for me, in my two runs in the fed, but it's what I do...

That or some people don't like their opponents reading their RP so they can read over it and:

A) Understand the standard they are using so you can exceed their RP
B) Use parts of the RP to make a rebuttal

The latter is looked down upon, depending on how you use it.

I hate response roleplays, I did it alot when I started. But I could never think of doing one again, it's a shitty roleplay all the way around.

Unless you're in one of those response roleplay feds where you must respond to your opponent's RP... not a fan of those ones though.

'Tis why I condemn those who do it. If you do a response RP to your opponent as your main RP, I will award you an automatic loss no matter how much better it is than your opponents (although that would be quite hard to accomplish as response RP's are usually shite anyway).

I'd rather an RP that isn't formatted or flirting with Becky than a response RP.

You know what's no worse than response RPs but considerably more common?

Metagaming. The amount of roleplays I read where people have their characters display superhuman levels of knowledge about their opponents as a result of having read their profiles or analysed RPs that were never intended as public information.

But a counter to that, there are a massive amount of roleplays that involve a camera or at least an interviewer. So most information would be public.

That information would obviously be fair game, but it's not universally the case, and it certainly doesn't give free licence for people to exploit everything anyone writes and to bestow knowledge upon their characters that they would have no realistic way of knowing.
