WZCW Discussion Thread

To be honest, this all pales in comparison with Brentford getting their first win at home in two months today at home to Chesterfield 2-1. TOP RESULT.

Finally, something I actually understand. I'm not entirely certain that these guys haven't been making up names to confuse Americans.

I understood some of it, like I know Arsenal and Chelsea, but the World Series is definitely bigger than a regular season soccer match

There are Canadian baseball teams. You have.......Toronto....... so.....never mind.

:lmao:

We had it baby. 92 and 93 World Series Champs. Plus we used to have the Montreal Expos, who would've won in 94 had the strike not happened. And they also briefly doubled as the San Juan, Puerto Rico Expos so, right there... Central America too!

To continue a sports discussion about a sport I actually know, I'm thrilled the Cards won as they've always been one of my favourite teams. Did feel bad for Texas, losing 2 straight World Series. Had it been any other team they faced I would've been cheering for them

World Series would imply that the world was involved as opposed to just America.

Latin America and Japan, bro

What happened to Montreal? My neighbor played for them.

They moved to D.C. Anyone of note?

Vidro was a good player. He made at least one all-star, if not more. I always really liked him, great contact hitter. I'm guessing he's retired now?

He does sponsorship deals and some autograph signings. He also spends the morning shooting doves in the hillside at 6:30 in the morning. He's quite a jerk.
