I was going to call you a crafty bastard for playing to my natural sense of superiority and actually making me feel compelled to feedback you. Then when quoting you I noticed the white text and that compulsion completely went away.

Or because he's the better option of the 6 seeing as he just beat the champion as opposed to losing to Baez/Bowen/not ever winning a match etc.

Everyone in the tournament and in the World Championship match has not been World Champion before so that'd rule out the latter reason you've given. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure it's mostly due to his work but he's been given a boost since the win.
