I have created a league for any active WZ member to sign up and join... much like with all fantasy leagues the object is simple, you create a team who over the season will earn you points depending on how well they play, the captain of the team will earn double points for the games he is featured in.

Create your football (soccer) team here:

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

Then join the WZ league by clicking in "join leagues" after your selected team has been finalised... the code for the WZ league is:

562446-112714

I'll keep you all updated with the movers and shakers as and when people sign up.

I've signed up. Last year, I believe I actually won this competition, or came second, one of the two, and I can't wait to take the trophy this season. For those who are interested, here's my teamsheet. The only weakness in my opinion, barring substitutes, who are always crap, is the second of the two forwards.

We have had a couple of people sign up which is great but the more the merrier! If anyone can think of anybody else who would join into this then say (but be careful not to spam) PM them, or do anything to make this a success!

Gameweek one begins on August 16th, I will probably push this from about the 10th. Thankyou to all who signed up so far and goodluck with the tournament.

In the Week 2 update, a low scoring week had by all, with newcomer Arsenalalltheway (from the sig and name AFC1986) tops the week with 47 points...almost lifting him about the Fizz.

A bad week from Luther leads to him dropping two places to 4th, while PWC stretched his lead by a further 3 points to 24 over Keiran's killers, with Pepsi/Cola/Koala lies 3 more back.

Further changes needed to resurrect Fizzle's early stall? Bentley has bid fairwell to my team, in a cost cutting exercise to bring in Everton's Spanish playmaker Arteta

1 Polley:wanna_cracker Stephen Polley 60 201
2 hulkamaniacs jp fizzle 59 175
3 Midget Armada MK2 Colin Russell-Ames 28 166
4 ArsenalAllTheWay Sayit Basbaydar 50 162
5 kierans killers john collins 35 152
6 Luth World Order Luther Hull 26 136
7 DJ's Army Adam Hough 41 110

An astounding week for yours truley, after a slow start as ever so kindly pointed out by Polley in his evaluations of the previous weeks. Me and my team "The Hulkamaniacs" have clawed there way up to second place... Can you feel the pressure of my proverbial breath on the back of your kneck yet Polley! Colomania who now resides in third place had a dissapointing week, only picking up 28 points! DJ's Army at the other end of the table are humbly propping everyone else up. With an all-star team and elite strike force it will surely only be a matter of time before they ascend the mountain above them!

GET INVOLOVED!!

If your a footie fan and want abit of a laugh, sign up now whilst you still stand a chance of winning!

Mr Fizzle, as I recall from looking at that list, I actually extended my lead...and that's with a little drop of 4 points due to transfers made during the week. No JP, congrats on second place, but that's all you're getting this season. You see sir, I'm shaping up for a long (Cena-esque) reign on top of this baby.

And in case you're all wondering...Zaki is in this week for Dean Ashton. Take notes guys

To make up for my arrogance, I'm currently second on the same points as the Fizzle. However, before said poster comes on here and points this out, I would like to suggest why this is the case... None of my players actually played today. SEriously, only Nasri was in a team with a saturday match and he's injured. Bring on tomorrow...dreaming of a Defoe hatrick

With that being said, welcome to CM who has joined the league.

Aha nevermind I never check the league until Monday because I have 3 spurs players in my team and you can pretty much guarentee that they don't play saturdays. I'm really happy how the league has gone so far and hope that me and you Polley and a couple of others can keep some good banter going, welcome CM!

Just incase any other potential newcomers are reading this, seriously sign up, takes about 3 minutes in total and then you can put as little or as much effort in as you want after that.

Well it's monday Fizzle, and despite clinging onto 2nd place, you've dropped a little behind me, thanks in part to Zaki and Defoe.

Gameweek 7 is upon us...and less than 1/5 of the season through and I've succumbed to the Wild Card. It is sad, but inevitable that 7 transfers were made this week. Joe Cole, Jermaine Defoe, Chris Kirkland, last weeks signing Ash Young, Joleen Lescott, the mighty Rio Ferdinand and some Hull guy called Gardiner all exit.

But all is not lost, no. replacing them are Sorenson (stoke), Barnett (WBA) - the pointless and money saving transfers, Patrice Evra (MUFC) and Bosingwa (Chelsea) - money saving but better points, Valencia (Wigan) - cheaper but playing well. You've done the maths...i'm saving big time. So that's left Joe Cole and £5million in the bank to buy my new captain. Top scorer last yr...Ronaldo.

Isn't it nice the way I tell you these things.?

Well a month has past since last I updated this. Following international breaks, provisionally for week 8, Mr Fizzle has remained in fourth, with Luther shooting up the league to within 10 points of me (when was Dirk Kuyt a midfielder?!?). Nevertheless, a good week isn't enough to knock me off the top and after Man City play tonight, I shall have over 50 points. The lead is growing (unless you're Luther)

Got 58 points this weekend which I'm proud of. Anelka and Defoe upfront for me are getting me loads of points. Next week should be interesting with a couple of big games like Arsenal v Villa and Bolton v Liverpool

I'd a bad week. Not impressed by 3 players of mine in recent weeks and feel they need to go. Going to be fun to decide the most urgent to go though.

I had an amazing week picking up 91 points. I'm bringing in Patrice Evra, Danny Murphy and Andy Johnson for next week and I'm taking out Gael Clichy, Shaun Wright-Phillips and David Di Michele as Clichy is losing me points as Arsenal keep conceding and Wright-Phillips and Di Michele aren't doing anything spectacular at the moment

Good week as well, sorry to say I outdid you and cleared 3 figures thanks to 6 goals, 2 assists and 3 clean sheets. My early wild card play has more than payed off. although I really need a new goalkeeper!

I had an okay week getting 47 points. Chelsea, United and Liverpool all drawing didn't help but that's how football goes.

I'm getting rid of Stephen Ireland, Andy Johnson and Keiron Richardson and bringing in Peter Crouch, Antonio Valencia and Andy Reid as all 3 are playing well at the moment

I had an okay week getting 45 points. Portsmouth v Man City and Fulham v Blackburn being postponed didn't help as I was hoping to get some points from that.

And I've only just realised I was in a knockout competition with the winner getting an MP3 player, a digital camera and a replica shirt of their choice and I am through to the last 64
