No, the Cody Rhodes thread is about him being in the main event, and this is a weekly thread series that discusses who had the biggest stand out performance of the show. I could understand wanting to merge my thread, but this should clearly be a stand alone thread. There is precedence for this type of thread existing on its own.

It was a very solid episode. The 6 man tag match was surprisingly solid, and the main event was worthy of ***1/2-****.

Sheamus and Orton actually put on a solid match? Shocking. I caught bits of the 6 man tag at work, one of the residents was watching. I was into it and then he changed the channel and I went back to do my business.

The Usos really came out of nowhere with that ring work. I was very impressed. Both they and Ryder have shown they're worthy of television time, even if it's just to job.

I usually watch bits and pieces of SD with him every Friday. He was more interested in the Phillies game. The guy is a pretty chill old dude.

Do you think there was a reason behind the whole Teddy Long thing on SD before Sheamus interrupted him? I mean he quickly changed his tone like he was doing something wrong. If I'm not mistaken he was gambling on horses.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Gambling on horses isn't illegal... or embarrassing. Maybe they're going to run a storyline about how Teddy is broke and he'll start taking bribes from wrestlers or something.

Or maybe they'll run a super ridiculous Attitude Era storyline where Teddy is a gambling addict and he has to go to therapy, leaving Smackdown in disarray as he gets electroshock therapy.

My first thought was that it was a way to get him off TV. Running a storyline with TLo being a gambling addict and then eventually replacing him with something new and fresh. Clearly that person will fail and Teddy will be back in no time. At least that is how it usually goes down.
