I was just browsing by wrestlinginc.com and ran across the announcement that a tag title bout between Air Boom and Epico & Primo has been added to the TLC card for tomorrow night.
It's unfortunate that this match is taking place as this seems like a good indicator that Air Boom will be dropping the tag titles to the newly formed team tomorrow night. Epico & Primo are a good team but have only wrestled, maybe, 3 matches together that I've seen. It just seems too soon to put the titles on them.
At the same time, it's not surprising. Evan Bourne was suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy which means that, aside from his 30 day suspension, he's got other punishments coming to him. Air Boom have been good for the tag titles and the tag team picture in and of itself and, like many, I thought Vince might take that more into consideration. Since Air Boom has come along, generally speaking, the tag team scene in WWE has been better than it's been in a long time. Lots of work to be done, but they were heading in the right direction. They'd lost some momentum, naturally, due to Bourne's suspension but now it looks as though the rest of the progress that'd been made is about to get flushed.
I'm still holding out a little shred of hope that Air Boom will retain tomorrow night, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
EDIT: My bad. Now the report is saying that the match MAY be added to the card tomorrow night. So, for the time being, I'm going to close this thread until these "journalists" get things right.
