I don't see why people think this is disrespectful to Eddie Guerrero. I don't understand why people keep bringing him up. The WWE has been nothing but disrespectful to the Guerrero name since his passing. They used it to ****e Rey Mysterio to the WHC at WM, and they use the name on Smackdown all the time.

Its not that I have a problem with it, hell I'm the guy that loved the Katie Vick storyline with Triple H. screwing a dumbie, in a Kane mask, in a casket.. but I just somehow see this as, iffy. I mean, the Kane thing was assumably, purely fake.. but everyone knows Vickie was married to Eddie.. so I don't know.

Regarding the Rey Mysterio part.. I see that as sad, simply because in MY mind, he had more than enough right to be World Heavyweight Champion without the Eddie death. I wasn't shocked that it came from it, but in all honesty, the only thing I see Rey not deserving & purely getting off Eddie's death.. was his Royal Rumble victory.

The Fact is, Vickie is a consenting adult that choses the name to be drug through the mud for money. It's that simple. If the Guerrero's didn't want this going on, then they wouldn't allow the WWE to continue using Eddie. They are enabling it, that's their choice, we either watch or we don't watch.

And thats why I'm okay with it. If Vickie wasn't okay with this, she'd stop it. And I believe W.W.E. would play it out & make it disappear, like the Katie Vick thing. The only sad thing here is.. Vickie may truly NOT be okay with it, but she's playing it out, because W.W.E. is probably paying her very nicely & chances are, the Family needs it.

I like it myself. It's freaking taboo as hell to mess with Vickie. Edge is going to generate massive, massive heat when this airs, and simply throwing in an Eddie comment is going to piss people off. This is what the WWE needs, plain and simple. Edge is reaching new heights of just an absolutely despised heel, something the WWE hasn't had since Triple H was good back in 2000.

I'm not sure if Edge would need this type of storyline to make him an even greater heel. No doubt this will cause him to go down in history as one of the most hated men, ever. But so would him defeating Undertaker at Wrestlemania. So, just imagine if this, tied in with possibly that, both were to fully happen. Edge would unofficially become one of, if not THE greatest heel, ever.

Smackdown! spoilers for 11/30/07

Victoria defeated a local Diva jobber. Not sure of the name.

They just announced Rey Mysterio & Kane vs. Viscera & MVP for later tonight.

WWE SmackDown:

Opening SmackDown! video airs and pyro explodes followed by Edge's music.

Edge comes to the ring to open SmackDown! to a huge 'You Suck' chant. Edge talks about is new relationship with Vickie Guerrero and how he wanted to make a statement on The Undertaker for Vickie. He talks about how much he's in love with her. He says she is at home sick and dedicates the match tonight to her. It was basically just a long promo hyping the main event. Huge heel heat for Edge.

A Hornswoggle & Finlay video promo airs.

Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Deuce & Domino. Finlay & Hornswoggle win after Finlay hits Domino with the Shillelagh and Hornswoggle does the Tadpole Splash for the three count.

An Edge video airs once again hyping how great he is and tonight's main event.

Michelle McCool & Jamie Noble are backstage talking about Chuck Palumbo. It's Chuck vs. Noble later on tonight.

CM Punk vs. Kenny Dykstra is up next. Huge pop for CM Punk. Very even back and forth action to begin. Punk used lots of footwork but Kenny was able to keep him grounded. Good match so far. CM Punk gains control though and is able to hit his kick knee to the face finisher.

Rey Mysterio & Kane vs. Viscera & MVP is up next. They did all four entrances with lots of stalling. Huge pop for Mysterio. Big Daddy V was in for a second and then MVP took over. Rey got the hot tag and the match went back and forth between Rey and MVP. Rey went for a 619 but was tripped up. Big Daddy V came back in for another short period. Kane and Rey team together for some double team moves. Kane hits a clothesline and Rey hits a splash followed by a 619 on MVP for the win. Good ending and the crowd is super hot live.

We get another Edge video hyping how great he is and tonight's main event.

Batista is interviewed in the back about his match tonight with Edge for the World title.

Jamie Noble vs. Chuck Palumbo. Chuck hits his head on the turnbuckle and Noble rolls him up for the win.

Backstage we see a comedy segment with Vince McMahon and Khali's translator. It's announced that Finlay vs. Khali is on for the Armageddon PPV.

The t-shirt guy is out shooting stuff into the crowd and JBL is getting himself some heel heat by calling the Roanoke fans 'Monkeys' for jumping around like idiots for a shirt. Stalling.

Edge vs. Batista for the World title. This match went around 30 minutes and was said to be good. Edge is out to big heel heat and Batista is out to a massive pop. Match starts with Batista on top. Batista uses lots of power moves to begin. Edge ducks out of the ring and gets major heel heat. Crowd is loud and into this one. The two fight outside the ring. Batista throws Edge back in and charges at him only to have Edge pull the ropes down sending in flying back to the outside. Edge is about to go for a spear and the lights go out and the gong hits. After about 10 seconds, 'Taker appears in the middle of the ring and chokeslams Batista as Edge escaped. The match ends on a DQ. Teddy Long then returns and says since Vickie isn't there tonight he can still make matches so it'll be The Undertaker vs. Batista vs. Edge for the World title at Armageddon.

Thanks again to Connor & Haytch for their help

humm interesting to see that Teddy is back so soon, but I like this as we could be having a mini feud between Long and Guerrero when she gets back. But I figured they would not let edge when the gold yet and save that for the PPV. overall looks like a meh show.

I live is Australia so I have already seen the show:)

The show itself was a bit meh except for the tag match wid mvp & big daddy v vs Rey and Kane. Also the main event wid Boretista and Edge was a nice long match but Taker coming in towards the end was soo pridictable and disapointing as I wanted Edge 2 be World Champ.

Also Cm Punk vs Dykstra was pretty gd as I like those 2 young guys

Smackdown Spoilers for 12/7/07

JBL comes out and does a couple two-steps on the way to the ring. Oddly enough, Michael Cole came down to J.R.'s Boomer Sooner music.

They start by recapping the Edge, Batista, and Undertaker storyline since Survivor Series. A nice touch was that they had both Vickie Guerrero and Theodore Long switching between their respective speeches to Edge and Undertaker.

After the opening credits, Theodore Long comes out and says it feel great to be back on Smackdown. Since Vickie Guerrero is out, he will be acting in charge. He puts over the Triple Threat match for the World Title at Armageddon and also announces that MVP will be facing Rey Mysterio for the US Title. Edge comes out and interrupts Long. Edge tries to have a heart to heart moment speaking into the camera to Vickie but gets interrupted by Long. Edge runs down Long, talking about how he stripped him of the title when he was hurt, saying Long didn't even give him the 30 days to defend his championship. Long fires back saying the doctors said Edge wouldn't be able to do anything even for 90 days. Edge brings up how Kane put him out months ago and Long decides to make a match for later tonight where Edge would face Kane since he had so much to say about it.

Later tonight: Michael Hayes in the VIP Lounge.

1st Match of Smackdown
- Miz and Morrison versus Jesse and Festus. Miz and Morrison swapped when they came out and which turnbuckle they stood on versus what they did on ECW. More good tag offense from M&M and Festus got some roughhousing in as well. The finish came down with Festus taking out Miz and Jesse went to the top rope for a move but Morrison knocks him down and pins him. This kind of set Jesse and Festus back in my opinion.

Elijah Burke is interviewed next. Says that he has beaten every Smackdown star that he's come across since the talent swap started, but tonight he faces Batista.

2nd Match
- Elijah Burke versus Batista. Batista comes on strong with the power game, running Burke in the corners and such but when Batista tries to run in for a clothesline, Burke hits a low drop kick to Batista's knee. This sets up Burke for an Outer Limits Elbow on Batista then Burke goes up to the top rope for a move. Batista catches Burke coming off the top rope hard into a spinebuster. Then Batista Bomb for the pin. After the match, Burke couldn't get up. Seems he got hurt when Batista caught him for the spinebuster, and in the replays it looked like Batista kind of stepped into catching Burke which might've knocked the wind out of him. Burke was on the mat for a long time before finally getting up and was helped to the back. Hope he's okay.

In the back, Jamie Noble talks to Michelle McCool about his recent wins over Chuck Palumbo. Noble boils it down and challenges McCool to a stipulation that if he wins tonight, McCool has to go on a date with him. McCool acts like she has with Noble in recent weeks, but accepts.

3rd Match -
Jamie Noble versus Chuck Palumbo. Noble comes out with a shirt reading "Noble 2 - Palumbo 0." Palumbo pretty much manhandles Noble for most of the match until Noble gets the upper hand back. McCool then gets up on the apron and distracts Noble with her goodies but it backfires and Noble rolls up Palumbo for the pin. After the match, Palumbo runs down McCool for them just being friends and her agreeing to the stipulation of going on a date with Noble. He acted a bit like a heel saying she did that on purpose and that she can find her own ride home.

Up next is the VIP Lounge with MVP. MVP plugs the World Class Championship Wrestling DVD that's coming out soon. So his guest tonight is one of the people who helped make WCCW special: Freebird Michael Hayes. Hayes puts over the DVD as well but gives some warnings about the consequences to all of the actions people take. How he's kind of the only one left out of those days with those people. MVP starts running down Hayes about his age and about how good MVP is. Hayes backs him down once by getting in his face. Some good stuff in there about how MVP is the cocky star now that doesn't care about all the people who came before him and set the table he now dines at. MVP then changed subjects talking about the close connection between Hayes and the Hardys. MVP asks Hayes how he felt about how MVP had dismantled Matt Hardy a couple week ago. Hayes said that the Hardys could handle their own business but he said when Matt does come back, MVP's in for some trouble. Hayes also put over Rey Mysterio versus MVP at Armageddon. Things went down hill between Hayes and MVP and they came to blows with Hayes setting MVP up for a DDT but MVP backdrops Hayes out of it. MVP then hits Hayes with the Playmaker and Hayes sells it good, allowing Rey Mysterio to come in and make the save, hitting MVP with a seated senton then tackling MVP over a VIP set couch. MVP makes his way to the back while Mysterio checks on Hayes. Hayes really sold the Playmaker as it took him quite a while to get up and to the back. MVP was phenomenal on the mic tonight. Best VIP Lounge in my opinion.

From here we have quite a few interviews and segments. I can't really remember the order but they put over Kane versus Edge, showing the events that led to Edge's injury. They also have an interview with Batista and he puts over the Triple Threat match, how he's never beaten Edge in a title match, and how he doesn't have to be involved in the decision for the title. Another segment involved Hornswoggle pretending to drive the hot rod Deuce and Domino would use later in the night. He get upset and force Hornswoggle out of the car but before they could do anything, Finlay shows up and protects Hornswoggle. Finlay says Hornswoggle was just playing and that he didn't break anything. He makes sure Hornswoggle didn't break anything then tells him to go ahead and break something anyway. Hornswoggle snaps off the antennae of the car and breaks it in half while Finlay keeps D&D at bay with the Shillelagh.

4th Match -
Finlay versus Deuce. Good match from these two as Finlay continues his face turn and gets his rough offense in while Deuce hit a few good moves like his jumping back heel kick. The finish comes down with Domino chasing Hornswoggle under the ring. Hornswoggle reappears a bit later with a fire extinguisher and sprays Cherry and Domino. Hornswoggle tries to get in the ring with the extinguisher and that distracts the referee letting Finlay take out Deuce's leg with the Shillelagh and get the pin. After the match, the Great Khali's music hit and as Finlay was getting ready for him, Domino hits Finlay from behind letting Khali get into the ring. Khali nails Finlay with a boot and tosses Hornswoggle out of the way when he tries to check on Finlay. Khali then sets his vice grip on Finlay and Finlay sells it better than just about anyone I've seen it on. Hornswoggle was also great being worried for his friend. After Khali lets up on the vice grip,
poses and goes to the back, Finlay keeps selling the move, staying in the ring for quite a while. Hornswoggle checks on his friend and Finlay gets to the back with help. On a funny note, while Finlay was laid out, a guy in the crowd shouted "Finlay sucks" quite a bit. After the third time, the kids in the crowd fired back with "You suck." Guess that guy didn't get the memo... but it's good to know Finlay's over.

From here I think we have another couple videos like the Jeff Hardy package and another Kane and Edge segment possibly. Kind of fuzzy on those moments.

5th Match -
Edge versus Kane. Batista comes to the ring first and he takes a seat beside JBL and Michael Cole. Edge comes out, cuts another promo trying to have a heart to heart moment with Vickie. Looks like there's a commercial between his promo and when Kane comes out. Match starts with Edge trying to keep his distance but Kane gets him and works in some fast offense. Kane hit Edge with some really loud uppercuts during the match and Edge sold them well. Good match seeing Edge get in some counters to Kane's moves like floating over Kane and hitting an Edge-o-matic. Edge eventually gets frustrated and goes to ringside and gets a chair. Before he even really gets back in the ring the referee called for the bell and DQ'ed Edge. Edge gets in the ring only to be met by Kane kicking the chair in his face. Kane then takes the chair and smacks Edge across the back. Kane goes to the outside and gets a set of ring steps and tosses it over the ropes. He gets in and readies to nail Edge with them but Edge drop toe holds Kane onto the steps as Kane rushed Edge. Edge then spears Kane and sets him on the steps and readies for a Conchairto on Kane but Batista dashes into the ring to stop him. As Edge is contemplating what to do with Batista beside Kane, the lights go out and the gong sounds. The lights come back on and Undertaker has Edge by the throat. Batista goes for a spear and hits Taker with it letting Edge get away. Taker sells the spear for a bit while Batista stares down Edge. Taker gets to his feet behind Batista and motions for a chokeslam. Undertaker plants Batista with a chokeslam and I would assume that's where it ends since after that the only thing that happened was Taker made his way to the back to his music and Batista made his way to the back after that taking some time to pose and thank the crowd around the ring.

Notes and Thoughts:

More than half of the camera side of the building was tarped off.

It looks like Edge's pyro didn't hit when it should have during his entrance because they fired it off for Batista when he was making his way back to the back at the end of the show.

Joey Styles isn't kidding when he says Kane's pyro is hot. I was sitting ringside on the corner opposite the entrance ramp a few seats back and I could feel the heat from here.

All in all, the only things that bugged me were the Kelly Kelly/Balls vs. Kenny/Victoria match (huh?) but that was kept short and the DQ on Edge for only coming into the ring with the chair. Both shows should be pretty good this week.

Pops and Heat:

Undertaker got the biggest pop when the lights went out during the main event.
Batista
Rey Mysterio
CM Punk

There wasn't a whole lot of heat but MVP had most of it followed by Edge then like Mark Henry and Big Daddy V.

RAW Tribute to the troops

From our Iraqi correspondent:

I just returned to my room from the WWE taping over here. Here are the results: Lilian Garcia sang the national anthem, did a good job of it to! First match Randy Orton vs. Y2J Watch for a helicopter fly over as Y2J is coming to the ring. The match ended when JBL came to the ring while Y2J had Orton in the walls of Jericho. Jericho got the better of JBL until Orton took down Jericho. Afterwards JBL hit the clothesline from hell on Y2J. Winner by DQ: Y2J Second match Jeff Hardy vs. Carlito The end of this match came when Carlito put Jeff Hardy down, went to spit apple in Hardys face only Hardy kicked Carlito causing apples to go everywhere and hit the twist of fate and the swanton for the 3 count. Funny note: Hardy botched the first swanton, after the three count Carlito layed back down for another take on the finish. Next, Vince comes to the ring in a red suit thanks all of us troops for what we do. Says WWE stands behind us no matter what!! Then says lets bring out the divas!! (every guy over here looked forward to this) Third match Kelly Kelly and Layla vs. Maria and Mickie James I think every guy was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction that didn't happen! The end came when Mickie and Maria hit the bucking bronco on Kelly and Layla and Vince comes in the ring to say we have seen enough! He ended it at the good part! He says that Santa isn't coming to Iraq this year, then as you guessed out comes Santa to tell us how young vince was a bad boy. Tells how he stole a magazine once, the magazine was drunk chicks over 60! Very funny stuff. Then reads a letter to Santa from young Vince saying he wanted a giant rooster for Christmas. Santa then says that young vince loves cocks. Also said he wanted a Red Rider BB gun. Vince then says your not Santa and rips off beard to reveal John Cena as Santa. Cena takes out Vince and gets on mic and says his bag is overloaded and he and the divas toss DVD's and magazines into the crowd. Very funny segment. Next match was Rey jr. vs. Mark Henry Very boring match!! I must say from seeing him in person Mark Henry is HUGE!!! then end came when Rey got a roll up on Henry. Next match Ron Simmons vs. Hardcore Holly Ron hits a spinebuster on Holly for the win. Simmons then gets on the mic to give us our "damn"for the week. (every time I saw Simmons during the time they were I had him say damn) good stuff! The main event was DX vs. Umaga and Mr. Kennedy DX does a special intro for the troops! It was pretty cool of them! The end came when Shawn hit sweet chin music on both Umaga and Kennedy and HHH hit the pedigree on Kennedy for the 3 count. After the match HHH and Shawn celebrate in the ring w/ a few troops. Afterwards calls all the wrestlers to the ring for a special thank you to all the troops for what we do. Vince says he has two words for us "Merry Christmas", this was a good show! All the troops enjoyed themselves and had a good time! I personally would like to extend a thank you to the WWE for doing this for us. And also said Merry Christmas to my wife and kids! Thanks for all you do. And Merry Christmas to all the people who read this!!

- Batista vs. Edge is next. The match is changed to a Handicap match with Batista vs. Edge and the former Major Brothers. The match is still for the World Heavyweight Title though.

omg, here we go again with Batista getting rematch after rematch after rematch. It so stupid, WWE always makes Batista look good no matter what! What happened on Smackdown makes him look like he should be champion again and it makes me sick. I Know he is a face and there supposed to make the fans hate edge, but it always is Batista getting title shots and looking good, enough is enough. He will get another rematch at the Royal Rumble, plus another one mabye at No Way out or somthing, grrr can someone please remove this guy from the title picture! It seems he is stuck there and will be there until he dies! And if rumors are true and he does win the rumble, i will go mad and take him down myself lol!

The lights go out, and The Undertaker appears. Lights go back off and come on with Edge already setup for the 619. Rey hits it and pins Edge to beat the clock. Rey Mysterio is the new #1 contender to Edge's title.

WWE Smackdown! Spoilers for 1/11/07

Source: WrestlingObserver & Neil Trama

The show opened with Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero in the ring. Vickie calls out Rey Mysterio. Rey expresses disgust at the changes in Vickie's life and her relationship with Edge. This brings out the Rated R Superstar to make out with Vickie and talk down to Rey. Then Chavo Guerrero comes out to say that he, too, thinks Vickie is tarnishing the Guerrero name. Vickie books Rey vs. Chavo for tonight. They do a staredown while Edge, Vickie, and Teddy leave.

Jamie Noble defeated Chuck Palumbo with a crucifix after a fairly underwhelming match. Afterwards, Chuck blames Michelle McCool for the loss and yells at her in the corner until Noble chases him off. (Note: They did a retape of the end of this segment later on in the show. No idea why.)

MVP vs. Ric Flair is announced for the Royal Rumble. MVP talks down Flair and says he will make an example out of Flair's former protege.
In the subsequent match, Batista defeats MVP via countout. Afterwards, MVP grabs a chair and Batista gives him a huge spear.

Undertaker defeats Mark Henry and Matt Striker in a handicapped match via tombstone piledriver on Striker. This was a glorified squash. Big Daddy V came out afterwards and this led to a 2 on 1 beatdown of the Deadman.

Earlier in the show, Mr. McMahon, Hornswaggle, and Finlay were backstage. Vince talked up Hornswaggle's chances of winning the Royal Rumble. Finlay said it was not safe for Hornswaggle to be in the Rumble and that Vince wasn't "living up to their deal." Vince said Finlay promised never to mention it again.
Hornswaggle defeated Runjan Singh in an arm wrestling match. Great Khali attacked Finlay after the match.

Kane defeated Deuce via pinfall after a chokeslam in a quick squash.

Rey Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero after a 619 and a headbutt off the top. Edge and the Edgeheads attacked Rey after the match. Edge posed with the title to end the show.

Other notes:
Kofi Kingston and Funaki defeated the Highlanders in a pre-show dark match. Kingston was way over and the match was halfway decent.

Batista defeated Edge via disqualification after a low-blow in a World Championship dark match after the show. The Edgeheads jumped Batista but Rey Mysterio made the save. Batista and Rey laid out Edge to close out the night.

It was certainly not the best WWE show in Wilkes Barre but definitely not the worst. At least no limos exploded.

Kahli vs. Finlay (Khali went over) Horwswoggle got involved using a huge shelali .

Vince (backstage) announced a belfast brawl rematch for Khali/Finlay for next weeks Smackdown

KODAK moment

Backstage, Chavo basically apologizes for his verbal actions last week and says he speaks for the guerrero's when he say he's ok with Edge and Vickie's relationship and wanted them the be one big happy family. Edge agrees and they all hold hands ... or was it a hug , lol not sure

Michelle McCool vs. Leyla (McCool went over , Nice finisher)

Mark Henry vs. Batista (Batista went over)

MVP Lounge segment , MVP's Guest The Nature Boy Ric Flair (great mic work from both)

Backstage, McCool got roses who she thought were from Noble , but were from Chuck who apologizes for the way he acted last week. Chuck and Noble argue.

MainEvent:

Edge & Chavo vs. Cm Punk & Rey Mysterio (ends in DQ)

Ending saw Edge and Chavo with help from the Edge heads attempting a double con-chair-toe on Punk and Rey, but was saved by Undertaker and Batista. CM Punk handed Edge's world title over to Rey and the both posed on opposite sides of the turn buckles holding the titles. (don't know how much of that made it to tv)

Thanks to Christy from Gadsden for sending these in:

I wasn't around for everything that happen cause my fiance was going back and forth from floor seats to arena club. I saw Ric Flair on the MVP show talking about the good times he had in Birmingham. Ric said MVP reminded him of when he was his age but Ric was better and then MVP said he is better then Ric ever was ( which send the whole BJCC in a roar) so Ric punch the s*** out him to point where the sofa was rolled over and he tore up one of those things he has in the background. Ric walks away with that smiling smirk on his face and that was enough of that.

I saw a Fit Finaly and Khali match and cute little Hornswoggle was there. The match was back and forth, back and forth. Fit wanted to hit Khali with his Schally ( I think I spelled that wrong) but Khali's manager grabbed it and threw it where he couldn't get it so Hornswoggle being the little genius he is goes under the ring (from what I saw) and gets the Schally gives it to Finaly but sadly Khali squeezed the poor dude's head and Ref. rings the bell. Good entertaining match with a bum ending. Fans were into it the whole time.

Vince was supposedly there but he was on the tron talking to Finaly about a match next week but I didn't catch what it is.

I know Undertaker started the show off. He got one of biggest pops I ever heard in any wrestling event and he talked which BJCC saw as an honor, a great honor. He was telling everybody who is involved in this years RR will go down. He won the RR last year and is set to do it again. Matt Striker and Big V comes out and Matt tells Undertaker is forgetting about someone who is bigger then Taker, Taker says something to piss V off so V runs down to the ring and basically get his butt handed to him and Taker walks out victoriously.

The last thing I remember was Edge, Batista, Chavo, Taker, Rey and CM Punk ending the show in a Royal Rumble kind of thing. It was so cool to see all those guys in one ring. Rey, Batista, Taker and CM Punk was the last ones in the ring. Taker was giving Rey hugs and a kiss to his forehead. Taker leaves and sees Chavo body outside the ring so he picks him and puts him on his shoulders and walks out. Ppl thought it was funny and cool what he did. Batista gives Rey the World Heavyweight Belt and puts him on the turnbuckle to pose with it. Batista kept on kissing Rey on his head and slapping him on his butt and back for good going I guess, lol. CM Punk and Rey leave and Batista is left in the ring. He does the Hulk Hogan poses on the turnbuckle and shimmies which we all in the BJCC found funny, even Batista laughed. Batista basically gives a little comedy show before he leaves, thanks us for coming and leaves but doesn't forget to touch the kids hands before he leaves.

The way I see it good show from beginning to end. WWE always throws a good show for the BJCC and we were all into the show from ECW to Smackdown. We were all excited to be apart of WWE that night. WE LOVED IT.
Biggest Pops:
Batista
Taker
Ric Flair
Rey

Boos:
Edge
Chavo
Vickie
Big Daddy V

For Smackdown 1/25/2008

Well I just got home from the John Paul Jones arena. You can forget about them running there for a few more years; they sold out noly half the arena. Most of it was tarped off and it was a sad sad site. All the seats behind the announcers desk were not anywhere near sold out either.

Anywho, Smackdown was not very good. Such an average show with some bad wrestling.

It kicked off with Rey vs. The Edgeheads. They had a fun short match with a crappy finish. One of the Edgeheads runs in with a chair for the DQ. Didn't even swing. Rey jumped off the middle rope drop kicking the chair into Edgehead A's face. So the Smackdown before the Rumble the babyface in the World title match couldn't beat two heels.

Then we had Domino vs. Jimmy Wang Yang. Yang is SO DAMN GOOD. You don't even realize how fantastic he is till you watch him live. Match was average; Domino was an anchor holding down Yang who was busting his ass off. Deuce and Cherry attempted to interfere, but Moore put an end to that nonsense. Yang wins with a moonsault off the top rope.

A backstage skit with Palumbo and Noble yelling aired. Then McCool came asking if they were ready, and they all left.

Six Person tag: Noble, Palumbo, and McCool vs. Miz, Morrison, Layla. Match went on for a bit until Palumbo and Noble went face to face in the ring. Palumbo pushed Noble into the ropes causing McCool to fall down. She was put onto an EMT board. Palumbo then made a HEEL TURN~! by beating down Noble on the outside. Eventually McCool got off the board, and Palumbo accidentally knocked her down while she attempted to pull Palumbo off of Noble. This was long, boring, and had no heat. Some people booed for Palumbo at the end and politely clapped for Noble as he was helped, but that's about it.

MVP and Flair had another fantastic segment. It was both of them saying they were gonna win, and I can't do this justice. Watch it. It's the only thing worth watching.

Khali and Finlay had the Belfast Brawl, Horny and Ranjin were ringside. I have no idea what happened, cuz they did some stuff, then Finlay just waylayed Khali on the outside. Then Finlay and Horny walked away...and Horny's music played. No explanation. Soooooooo yeah. Then McMahon had a promo with Horny, which was fine.

Batista cut a short but sweet promo saying he was winning the Rumble. As if.

Big Daddy Boobs and Taker had a wretched match. Taker's entrance is really, really cool. Nothing really more to say, except Taker won and Mark Henry helped V out at the end. TEAM FAT!

Main Event was Punk vs. Edge, in which Edge won with a spear. Edgeheads were outside and Rey did commentary. Edgeheads got involved at points, and the match overall was pretty good. Best of the show.

The dark main event was Edge and The Edgeheads vs. Punk, Rey, and Batista. A very fun six man in which Rey won with a frog splash on one of the Edgeheads. The babyfaces celebrated in the ring forever.

So all in all, it was fun being there live and all, but I can't imagine it being any good on TV.

mackDown opens with two huge announcements. First Theodore Long announces that World Heavyweight Champion Edge will defend his title against Rey Mysterio at No Way Out. He then announces a SmackDown Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out for a title shot at WrestleMania XXIV. The competitors are revealed as Batista, Undertaker, MVP, Finlay, The Great Khali, and Big Daddy V.

Ric Flair defeats MVP via DQ in a Career Threatening Match
Flair locks in the Figure Four leg lock on MVP but MVP rolls it over. MVP, not realizing Flair is under the ropes, refuses to break the hold and the referee throws out the match.

After the match MVP works over Flair's knee and pins it between the ring and the stairs. Flair screams in agony as several referees escort MVP to the back. Flair is assisted to the back.

Chuck Palumbo comes out and apologizes for hurting Michelle McCool on last week's SmackDown. Palumbo blames it on Jamie Noble. Michelle comes out and slaps Palumbo.

Rey Mysterio & CM Punk defeat Edge & Chavo Guerrero
Rey Mysterio connects with 619 on Chavo Guerrero, CM Punk hits Go TO Sleep on him as well leaving Punk and Mysterio victorious.

Finlay & Hornswoggle defeat Deuce & Domino
Hornswoggle connects from off of the top rope to score the pinfall.

Eve Torres introduces Batista. She asks him about the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out. He tells her that he plans on winning the match and he will be going to WrestleMania XXIV to get a title shot.

Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins defeat Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang
According to our report, the match was a snooze and the crowd was dead throughout.

Kane & The Undertaker defeat Big Daddy V & Mark Henry
Kane & Undertaker give Big Daddy V a double chokeslam. Undertaker chokeslams Mark Henry and locks him in a submission hold. Taker and Kane get the win via submission.

After Undertaker and Kane go to the back Batista comes out and takes out Big Daddy V and Jamie Noble (who came out with Mark Henry and Big Daddy V).

WWE RAW (Air Date - 2/11):

RAW opens with Hornswoggle coming to the ring. They are doing Mr. McMahon vs. Hornswoggle first. Finlay comes out to ringside.

Hornswoggle defeats Mr. McMahon via pinfall.
McMahon calls Finlay a coward which prompts Finlay to hit him with the Shillelagh. Hornswoggle nails a tadpole splash off of the top rope onto McMahon, he gets the pinfall.

After the match, they show a backstage segment between Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon tells Regal to get some dismissal papers ready as he is going to fire Finlay for interfering.

Chris Jericho defeated JBL via pinfall.
Jericho hit his Code Breaker finisher and got the win clean.

After the match, Umaga comes out and gives them both a Samoan Spike.

They show another backstage segment with Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon says that he has decided against firing Finlay. Instead, he is going to wrestle Hornswoggle in cage on next week's edition of RAW. Note: This will be the RAW after No Way Out.

Before the next match, the incest angle debuts on television between Katie Lea and Paul Burchill. Burchill basically says that whatever Katie wants, Katie gets.

Paul Burchill defeated Brian Kendrick via pinfall.
Burchill wins with what was thought to be his finisher. According to our correspondent Danny, it looked like an inverted swinging neckbreaker.

WWE Champion Randy Orton comes out next in street clothes to watch John Cena vs. Mark Henry which is up next.

John Cena defeats Mark Henry.

After the match, John Cena lashes out at WWE Champion Randy Orton who is sitting with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler at the announcer's table. Cena tells Orton that he is 100% healthy.

Mr. Kennedy comes out to ringside wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Flair comes out later in the segment wearing a tuxedo. Flair tells Kennedy that he will not forfeit their upcoming match at No Way Out. The segment ends with Kennedy kicking Flair in the knee in which Flair sells. According to our correspondent, it looks like a place where a commercial break will be inserted.

The next match is a singles match between Melina and Maria. Melina is accompanied to the ring by Jillian Hall while Santino Marella is with Maria.

Melina defeated Maria via pinfall.
Jillian Hall kissed Santino, distracting Maria. While Maria was not paying attention, Melina rolled her up for the three count.

After the match Santino gets on the mic and tells Maria that she must choose - it's either Playboy or Santino. He says she has one week decide and gives her a kiss.

Jeff Hardy defeated Shawn Michaels via pinfall.
This match was given a lot of time. I don't have the exact length but it was long. Lots of near falls as Michaels hit his elbow drop kick twice. Both attempted finishers (Sweet Chin Music & Twist of Fate respectively) but missed. Michaels locked an inverted Figure Four on Hardy but he got to the ropes. Eventually Hardy is able to hit Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb on Michaels. Hardy was able to get the three count in what I am told was a very good match.

ECW On Sci-Fi (Airing At 10 PM EST)

ECW opens up with CM Punk talking about ruining Chavo Guerrero's Mariachi Fiesta last week. Punk invokes his rematch clause, saying that he wants it tonight against Chavo for the ECW Championship. ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero comes out and tells Punk that he will not get his rematch until No Way Out.

ECW General Manager Armando Estrada comes out and says that Chavo will take on CM Punk tonight in a Gulf of Mexico match. It is explained that the point of the match is to throw your opponent into the Gulf of Mexico and obviously it will not be for the ECW Championship.

Victoria & Layla defeat Michelle McCool & Kelly Kelly
Victoria got the pin in a quick divas tag match. Our correspondent said that it was boring and the crowd was not into the match.

John Morrison defeated Tommy Dreamer
Our correspondent told us that Dreamer dominated most of the match but The Miz distracted Dreamer from the outside. Miz's distraction allowed Morrison to score the pinfall on Dreamer. It should be noted that Colin Delaney came to ringside with Dreamer.

Kofi Kingston defeated James Curtis
Kingston had the same type of TV match that he has had in recent weeks. He won the match by pinfall.

Chavo Guerrero defeats ECW Champion CM Punk
This is a non-title Gulf of Mexico match. As soon as the match starts it goes to the outside and into the crowd. The fight goes from the crowd to outside of the arena. Punk ends up hitting Go to Sleep on Chavo, sending him into the Gulf of Mexico for the victory.

SmackDown 2/22/08

Edge comes out for a promo with his two buddies. He basically says that he, unlike most the crowd full of people who are scared of failing, is an opportunist. He said he's going to use the opportunity at Wrestlemania to end Undertaker's streak. Very good promo, Edge is awesome. Lights go out. Lights come back on and Undertaker has his hand around Edge's throat. The lackeys attack Taker, and they get beat up for it but Edge escapes.

Shelton Benjamin beat Jimmy Wang Yang in a MITB Qualifying match with his jumping faceplant finisher. Yang looked good and got the crowd into the match a bit near the end.

Teddy runs into Maryse backstage and she asks for a private meeting.

Jesse and Festus beat Deuce and Domino with a Festus aided top rope splash. The Greasers get the heat on Jesse by using Cherry as a shield on the outside and jump kicking him in the face. He was bleeding from the nose, so it looks like it was a real stiff kick.

Big Daddy V beat Shannon Moore via the fat elbow. Went too long for a squash match.

Batista beat MVP after 3 spinebusters and a Batista bomb. MVP was selling his back from the Chamber match, so Dave thought it would be fun to give him three spinebusters. During the match MVP got the heat on Dave by working over his head (front face locks) after MVP's big boot on the outside.

Kane pinned Khali when Khali had the headsqueeze on Kane and Kane pushed off the turnbuckle with his legs to land on top of Khali in a pinning position. (Think Hart v Piper but not a full roll through.) Afterward Khali kept the hold on and released because he thought he had won. Match was bad.

Chuck beat Mac Jackson (enhancement guy) with his finisher (has guy on his shoulder into RKO-like move). Quick and brutal squash, Chuck even stopped a pin one time to give more punishment.

Video with Rey coming to the ring.

Rey comes out to the ring. Rey is GOD in San Diego. Rey says his bicep is completely torn and has to get surgery on it tomorrow. Says he's missing Wrestlemania. Vicky interrupts. SO MUCH HEAT for Vicky just coming out. I've never heard so many 12 year old girls and boys cussing out someone in Spanish than I did when Vicky came out. They replay Rey giving her the silla from last week. Vickys says she thinks Rey did it on purpose and wants to hurt Rey now, so Rey must perform tonight against Chavo! Match goes along and Rey hits the 619, but can't do the springboard because his bicep hurts too much. Chavo takes over with 3 Amigos and goes up for frog splash. He misses and Rey rolls up Chavo for the pin.

Vicky tells Rey to stop celebrating and then tells him she's got something else to hurt him. Big Show comes out to beat Rey down, crush him in the corner, and step over his injured arm. Show then holds Rey up for a LONG chokeslam and hits it. Show gets a mic and simply states that this is what Mayweather has coming to him at Wrestlemania.

.

Good, I'm interested to see the promo with Edge at the beginning of the show. For the life of me I don't understand Scott Hudson. Almost everything he says is spot on, accept for his insane belief that Edge is incapable of cutting a good promo. I think Hudson is completely out of touch if he honestly feels that Edge isn't good on the mic, he's the best in the business on the mic today, by far.

Kudos to the WWE for not royally fucking up this years MITB by excluding the one guy that has been good in these matches, and that's Shelton Benjamin. Fuck Jeff Hardy, anyone can jump off the top of a ladder, gravity does most of the work for you. Benjamin can run up the damn thing, then jump, way more talented. Honestly, how people can defend a Jeff Hardy and not get on Benjamin's bandwagon is beyond me. Shelton is Jeff Hardy done right.

The thing I'm misunderstanding is how there was a huge up-roar over Chavo Guerrero turning face and C.M. Punk turning heel, due to Punk stealing the rolling suplexes.

Apparently Chavo going face is completely out the window, since not only did he once again become Vickie's hired thug more or less, but he wrestled against a hurt Rey Mysterio.

I'm excited and glad they put Shelton Benjamin in the Money In The Bank match as well, now I'm like to see Morrison get in too. I doubt Morrison will, but I'm hoping at least one more E.C.W. high flier can make it.

Also, what is up with the stupid matches? Big Daddy V v. Shannon Moore? Really?? Why.. seriously, why couldn't the just give him and Striker a fricken promo spot or something.
