So this weekend we have one of the big four PPV's of the year. The others being, Summerslam, Mania, and Royal Rumble. And this year it's free on the WWE Network for new subscriptions, shilling done now.
After RAW last night Team Cena was finally revealed to go against Team Authority. We also found out that there would be an eight man Tag Team match, AJ Lee we know is fighting Nikki Bella, and we also have the snoozefest called the Ambrose/Wyatt feud. Oh and yes I forgot, the new and improved Fandango on the preshow against well they never told us, so it's a mystery wrestler.
Does anyone other than myself think that there should be more matches on this card? Most PPV's have anywhere between 7-8 matches to keep us entertained for 3 hours, and if this is all they have it ain't gonna happen this time around.
Now the main event 5-5 match should take awhile, so should the tag team clusterfuck, but even if they took an hour each you still have an hour to fill. I'm kidding they won't take an hour each, but you see the point.
Also there doesn't seem to be a partner for Cesaro, Orton, Paige and Sheamus. Four big names that should be involved. KB said it on the RAW Live Discussion thread last night that 18 of the big names where involved in two matches.
So where does this leave the rest of the card, not that there is much left really. Also with the WWE title out of the picture for the time being, you would have thought that the WWE would have taken this time to elevate the IC and US titles. But no they put those wrestlers into multi-man matches, why, cause they could I guess.
I just see this not playing out very well, and the only thing that will save it is some let's see well placed surprises. If Reigns, Bryan, Sting or someone else decides to show up, or Orton slithers in to cost the Authority the win, then I'm all for it. But the way the deck has been stacked so far, makes me think of a house of cards, where one gust of wind will bring the whole thing down. That's not good for business considering they need to get more people on board with the network, in order for it to stay afloat. I'm really worried that they might have sunk themselves with this PPV, and unless they can pull a monkey out of their asses, it's going to be a long night.
