Reaper of Miracles
So I turned off the PPV after the Undy/Kane match thinking that was the end. Looks like we had a world title match. And a cash in. Meh...

Awful, awful show. I guess WWE's streak of entertaining PPV's are over, not all shows can be a home run and I get that but they really needed to nail this show and they pretty much fucked up the whole thing. Triple H has his new champion, Reigns will be chasing him and as a whole it's pretty much "who gives a shit?". I like Reigns and I kind of wish he got over with the fans better than he did but when you're not clicking you're not clicking so why go against the grain and why make Sheamus look like a doofus all night until he cashes in? It's like WWE doesn't want anyone to care.
Sad but true. The biggest highlight of WWE Survivor Series 2015 was SoS' meltdown...
Besides how perplexing and lackluster the Taker match really was (considering all the hype about his anniversary) that last part of your post really confuses me. I dont get why they couldn't have just kept Sheamus out of that match if that is what use they had for him. If he had to do something, it could have been to just be part of it, take the pin & then have Kofi and Woods come back out considering they were never even counted out.
Instead we got our new champ looking like a putz & I dont understand why they booked it that way. Seems like the night was full of gaps in logic. Why do that with Sheamus? Why did Dean just disappear? Why build Reigns up again, just to fall to someone he has no beef with & is not connected to The Authority? Honestly Ambrose turning heel and winning would have made more sense.
This was not a good PPV. More like a mediocre themed episode of RAW. If Vince wants to build stars from this new crop of guys, having them lose, deflating their pushes or being booked terribly is certainly not the way to do it.
