WWE SummerSlam: WWE United States Championship - Shinsuke Nakamura (c) VS Jeff Hardy

This match was made official yesterday as Nakamura defends the US Championship against Jeff Hardy. Given that Randy Orton has been beating the ever loving shit out of Jeff Hardy for weeks now, I figured this bout would be a triple threat match. We're still a few weeks off of SummerSlam, so this match could easily be made into a threeway dance. If it isn't, however, then Orton will almost certainly interfere in this match to one degree or another. At any rate, Jeff Hardy is almost certainly not leaving SummerSlam as the United States Champion and that's the right decision.

If it does get made into a triple threat match, Nakamura needs to retain as a 34 day run as champ just won't cut it and it might be an indicator that he intends to return to Japan as his WWE contract expires early next year.

Orton likely wins by DQ or Orton cost Hardy the win, but no way does Nakamura drop the title now. The Orton vs Hardy feud will finally get all of Hardy's attention after SS.
