WWE Smackdown Presents: The Elimination Chamber

Well WWE gave me quite a lot of stuff I wanted in the last 12 months or so. They haven't really given me a reason to want to take an elongated break, and even make me want to watch their product over my normal. I'm glad Bray finally won that title <3.

Before Bray, would was the last guy to win one of the big titles without winning a singles US/Intercontinental Title? Reigns I believe which wasn't long ago but who before him? Sheamus?

Finn Balor's first title on the main roster was the Universal Championship. I think that was literally his 2nd or 3rd match.

Fantastic.

Congratulations to Mikey,... um I mean Bray.

That win felt grand. Especially after the creepy as fuck staredown entrance with each pod.

It was a letdown. I didn't like the new Elimination Chamber, specially the floor. It looked the same as the ring, but with a black canvas. Not menacing at all as previous years. The match in itself was good, but definitely not one of my favorites. Lacked intensity as far as I'm concerned.

Bray's win came out of nowhere and he was far more ready for it after his feud with John Cena or The Undertaker. He just doesn't feel like a champion to me. His last feud was against American Alpha and he lost it alongside the other half of Randy Orton.

Bliss losing the championship was another decision that really bothered me. To Naomi, of all people, who since SmackDown went independent didn't have a single feud. It just came out of nowhere and I don't get it. It takes away from the championship.

This PPV just showed how thin SmackDown's roster is. The tag division, by god... American Alpha will be champions forever if they don't introduce something fresh in the scene. I am more interested in everyone else, hoping that they can build back The Ascension or Breezango.

Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper had a good match. Intrigued by the future of Harper, but not hoping much.

Seeds for the mix tag match with Cena/Miz has been planted. Cena pinned Miz with one AA, probably the one move Miz took in the match. Two minutes later, everyone was kicking out of the move. It was also proof that they should've had a Cena vs. AJ Styles III to main event WrestleMania for the strap. It's still hot.

A lot to talk about, but mostly negative in my view. Corbin looked like a beast killing Ambrose, but he looked really dumb inside the pod. Also, I was watching the match and thinking: "Ambrose, Miz and Styles are 1x WWE Champion. The other two were first timers fighting for the strap. Cena is a 16X WWE Champion. The discrepancy is too big.

That's all. Thumbs down.
