WWE RAW: Keeping 3 hours fresh

RicSpade

Mr. All-in
So I was digging into the archives of WWE,WCW and ECW trying to find something that would make RAW interesting and fresh for months to come, and I think I figured it out, now before we go into it we all know storylines wrestlers predetermined winners blah blah blah, but lets make it interesting I remember watching WCW as a kid and remember the lethal lottery, and it was great because these random random matches kept happening.
Think about this if you did it right it would look random and fresh and keep people talking say what if Zack Ryder beat Cesaro for the US title that night? Or Cena lost to a random jobber, or if they even pulled some muscle and had former WWE superstars or their part time superstars come back and put in it, the buzz it would create to have a Brock Lesnar or Triple H come back and face someone like Punk or Ziggler out of nowhere it brings back the buzz we had in 1996-97 when a main event was announced so big and Schiavone would tell you to call your friends let them know _______ is facing ________ tonight for the world title.

So what do you think one night Lethal Lottery?

If I remember correctly, wasn't lethal lottery used to form random tag teams and then if you're team won you were entered into a battle royal for the title?

hell, im for it... at this point, nothing is new anyway, so we cant get too caught up with more rinse and reuse. it would be a good idea either way, and something not seen for quite a while. plus, im 25 and have been watching wrestling for a very young age, and i remember nothing about this so im sure the vast majority will find it new and unheard of before anyway.

as long as they really did make it seem random, not put on a bunch of squash matches, and add some shock and awe then im all for the idea. for instance, you mention cena getting knocked off by a nobody. i like this idea especially, because cena has the ability to add credibility to anyone he fights. his annoying ass superman status aside, i think cena could be more towards the mid-card and still pull that off beautifully. simply because of how he carries himself as a fighter and holds his head up when handed a loss. anyone still willing to believe the kayfab of the business could look at cena taking a loss in a good fight and be like "man, that other kids got it, hes gonna be big".

i dont much like the involvement of legends and part timers though. exceptions to any rule apply, but generally speaking, id much rather it be used to put on some great matches and build lesser superstars. i dont know if the original take only involved normal types of matches or not, but either way id have a match stipulation be at random as well. lets say christian and cesaro came up in a match (one off the top of the head that i think id enjoy btw) and the match came out as a tag team tables match. ud add two more random superstars and end up with lets say christian and randy vs cesaro and cena. simply because it would be interesting with one face and one heel on each team. for this instance, id assume randy has not turned heel yet and christian has come back as a face. but lets say the match works with a few interesting kinks because of the teams and near the end you have randy scouting cena for the rko, cesaro watches this as if to interrupt it but just waits. randy just up for the rko and cesaro hits that brutal uppercut while randy comes down. cesaro would effectivly take both cena and randys heads off with that one uppercut which would be amazing. he could then take out christian with lets say a neutralizer from the second rope thru a table to win the match for him and a damn near dead cena. after somehow mocking all 3 men he has laid out, hed then leave and instantly be a bigger and deadlier character... yas im for this idea lol.
