WWE Over the Limit - The Hart Dynasty (c) vs. Jericho and Miz - Unified Tag Titles

Gone but never forgotten.

From the moment he was drafted to Monday Night Raw, Chris Jericho has been plotting and scheming for a path toward championship gold. He just may have found it when he teamed up with his fellow egotist, The Miz.

After weeks of trash talk and underhanded attacks, The “Screaming Egos” will finally get an opportunity to capture the Unified Tag Team Titles against reigning champions The Hart Dynasty.

The bout was arranged after Jericho managed to defeat The Hart Dynasty’s David Hart Smith in singles competition. On the same evening, however, Smith’s partner Tyson Kidd evened the score when he notched a win against Miz in a second singles match. Both outcomes serve as an indication that these teams appear evenly matched. However, while both Jericho and Miz have held the Unified Tag Team Titles before, they have not held them while teaming together.

The Unified Tag Team Champions carry a storied history and lineage of Superstars in their corner. But will a remarkable bloodline really be enough for Hart Smith & Kidd to overcome the experience and win-at-all-cost attitude of Jericho & Miz?
It was announced tonight on Raw that the Hart Dynasty would defend their Unified Tag Team titles against Chris Jericho and The Miz.

Let's keep all of the discussion in here.

As much as I love the Miz and Jericho as a team, The Hart Dynasty needs to hold onto those belts. The tag titles have about as much prestige nowadays as the Hardcore title. A lengthy run by an already established, "legit" tag team will be nothing but good. Side note- Is anyone else sick of seeing the four belts? Just make a new belt already.

Please, don't let the Miz and Jericho win. They really don't need it, as opposed to the Hart Dynasty, who've been miss-used since they came into the WWE. The Hart Dynasty have finally won it, and are the first real tag team to win it. Only real tag teams should win it from now on. please, make this the REAL rebuild the division. No put together teams

Hart Dynasty needs to keep it. not just for the sake of the Tag Titles and the Tag Division (and yes, now that the belts are unified, the belts should not be 2 per partner but just the normal 1 each), but also for the sake of Miz and Jericho.

both of those guys are main eventers and as such, should be in the main event. or at least feuding with the guys to be in that main event spot. maybe Miz could even defend his singles title once in a while?

lots of new and good tag teams are coming around soon: the Brothers Colon are back together, Dudebusters (might need a name change, but maybe not) are around, Fortunate Sons are coming in soon... maybe something with Goldust and Cody Rhodes, etc. with all of these tag teams coming together and being the "real" tag teams of the golden years, the Hart Dynasty needs to hang onto them just a bit longer.

Hart Dynasty was given the belts to get Bret one more reason to stay... i promise you, once he's gone they won't have anything to do with the titles and be back as jobbers.

And that's sad because I could see the Dynasty being as successful as the Hart Family team. It would really help to gain more revenue for the Hart and Soul DVD, and possibly put them over as a bigger draw.

I think hart dynasty need to retain the titles and hope they do...its their first and lets hope more will come, but they've only held the titles for like what 2 or 3 weeks?

do we need to really see miz in another team? REALLY?? why can't he just defend his us title already, and no not to bret hart...i do wish bret hart wins and vacates the title..miz is a boring champion...does he mention the title?

Uhhh yea, The Hart Dynasty is fuckin OVER. You can see it coming miles away. This will be a fine way to keep the Miz and Jericho looking strong and having something to do on what is a uber stacked roster on RAW.

Should be a decent contest. Smith and Kidd are very technically sound, although they are black holes of heat drwaing. Jericho and Miz on he other hand are two of the WWEs best, so they will get things moving on that front, likely.

I expect a pretty good match, and JeriMiz to take home the gold.

As soon as Jericho and Miz became a tag team, I knew they would be the first to get a shot at The Hart Dynasty. I'm hoping the Harts will retain in this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jericho and Miz won here, and then went on to have a lengthy reign with the titles.

The Harts need to win this one to help establish themselves, but I have a bad feeling Jericho and Miz will come away with the victory here.

I'm excited for this match, I think ultimately that Jericho and Miz will be able to make the Hart Dynasty look like strong champions, to say the least I hope they will, because that's only fair, instead of letting them loose their first defense.

I'm guessing for this match to be rather grueling and quite a match, where the Hart Dynasty will ultimately pull out a victory.

Hart Dynasty needs to win so prestige can be brought back to the titles. Nothing against Miz and Jericho but they should be on their own. Jericho should be trying to go for WWE Title and Miz should be defending his belt. If they win, you can mark the end of the Tag Team Division.

As great as it would be to see Miz and Jericho with those belts (imagine the dual promos!) the Hart Dynasty need a lengthy title run to bring back prestige. Yes they're not great on the mic, but they can put on excellent matches. In my opinion, they need the championships for a few months to really establish themselves before dropping them. Its a very close call, probably the closest on the Over The Limit card.

Hart Attack. Sharpshooter on Miz. Dynasty retains.

The WWE realizes they have some major budding stars in The Hart Dynasty. They've finally gotten over thanks to Bret Hart, and I think a long reign is exactly what they need to truly get to that next level. There's going to be a time where Bret stops showing up on a semi-regular basis and they'll be on their own without him being there to help them gain heat. I think a win over Chris Jericho and The Miz here would go a real long way in helping these two become legitimate wrestlers. A loss here damages The Harts way more than Team Jiz, and all this buildup for them over the last few months would be for nothing.

I think the Harts take it in a fun match that's very competitive. No way would it be a clean win... it will probably wind up being Bret Hart or even Bryan Danielson interference here.

Should be quite the match here. They've had some good stuff on free TV whether it be tag matches or one on one matches, so I'm assuming they'll be able to do much of the same with even more time on a bigger stage. I don't believe the Hart Dynasty have had a legit match on PPV yet, so it should be interesting.

The actual tag team is likely to win here as well. Not sure where they're going with the whole Miz/Jericho thing. The US Title and Bret will probably be involved as well, with Miz doing the whole "eyes bug out of his head whilst yelling" thing.

Isn't it mandatory to mention Danielson in any Miz thread as well? I'd say he won't be there and won't get involved on Sunday. Bold prediction, I know, but it just may happen.

I bet this will be the show opener, and what a great pick that would be. I'm looking forward to a great match between the two teams. This is another potential pick for match of the night alongside the IC match. I'm thinking that JeriMiz (NorCal beat me to it.... I was going to name them that too!) will win the belts. JeriShow had such a great reign, and ShowMiz's reign was pretty cool too. Now that the two reasons behind those two great reigns are in a team together, imagine how awesome it would be to see Jericho and Miz on both shows bragging about how good they are. Epic promos will be coming. The Hart Dynasty had a decent little reign, but it's going to end here because JeriMiz will be able to accomplish more as champions when they start showing up on both brands. I wonder what their entrance song would be like?

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
JeriMiz (Jericho & The Miz) will win the Unified Tag Team Championship.

The Hart kids will retain.

They just won them, and I feel like there is so much more development needed in the Jericho-Miz partnership before they can dethrone the Harts. There is the potential of people interfering on behalf of the Dynasty, but a good clean win in this match is just what they need to solidify this title run.

This should be a very fun match up. The Harts have finally gotten over and my god they are over huge. Lets just see if they can keep it that way when Bret stops appearing. The Harts are a fabulous tag team, something we have been missing for years and are great in the ring. Jericho is fantastic when single and in a tag team so this should be no different and Miz is also at his best in a tag enviroment so this match will be really good.

I want the Hart Dynasty to win so to look dominant and can be built up as a credible tag team but I have a feel that Miz and Jericho will pick up the titles so to carry the feud on.

A very good match up with Miz and Jericho, sadly picking up the win.

This match was actually pretty good, I had expected less from the match as opposed to what it achieved, it build the Hart Dynasty greatly, and I'm happy to see that they retained, they needed to do that in order for them to seem legitimate.

Very back and forth match, definitely had me on the edge of my seat, somehow I knew the Hart Dynasty was gonna retain, but I slowly grew doubtful over it as it passed along, which just shows that it could've been going either way, a very equal match, and I think it did great in making the Hart Dynasty seem like a great tag team, I'm excited to see where the feud goes from now on.
