The best of the pay-per-view was obviously the booking decisions. The new champions really give that freshness for the weekly episodes that lay ahead before Hell In A Cell, and it's balanced in "probable rematch" and "expecting something new".
I wasn't a big fan of what they did with Kevin Owens vs. Ryback. Mostly because I've read that this two had awesome matches at recent house-shows. They are both this huge brawlers, so the fact that they worked such a psychological match annoys me. I was expecting a lot more lariats and a lot more impact maneuvers, not "focusing on your arm" kind of match. Those two should be fun to watch in a Street Fight environment, but as a straight wrestling match, they were really lame.
I'll say this - Ziggler vs. Rusev was the weakest match on the card by far. They have zero chemistry. 90% of the offense was barely credible. Rusev is not a good seller, while Ziggler went really far with his overselling shtick. Not a good day for those two. Seriously. Bad story, bad matches, bad feud.
From this point on the PPV was great. I love the fact that New Day vs. Dudleyz will probably lead to a Tables or a TLC match. I was surprised how good Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte was, and I don't believe Charlotte carried Nikki. If I have to believe that the Divas can truly be saved, now is the moment. Don't ruin it WWE! As for the six-man match between Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose & Chris Jericho vs. The Wyatt Family, it was okay, could have been better. They did right by Strauman and they protected both Dean and Reigns, while giving The Wyatts a much needed victory, so I'm not going to complain. I hope we can have a heel Jericho vs. Ambrose down the line. If they don't give me that, I'll fucking riot and tear down WWE's buildin in Connecticut. I'm not kidding. Call the FBI!
Seth Rollins vs. John Cena was the match of the night. A fun showing. They have an awesome chemistry and even though we have seen them fight like a dozen of times, they always seem to be able to tell a new story. I hope Open Challenge returns. I am interested to see who is Cena's next challenger come Hell In A Cell. (Please let it be Samoa Joe!). Seth Rollins vs. Sting was a surprise. Mainly because Sting actually moved a lot. The table spot was perfect and his injuries actually helped the story of the match. Rollins was tired, but somehow got lucky and therefore he is still the WWE Champion. However, wrestling Kane next just made me go: "Oh for fucks sake!". I truly hope they get Sheamus involved in this, or else the title will be the opener come Hell In A Cell.
