WWE Must Not Sign Awesome Kong!

In my opinion, WWE needs to stay away from Awesome Kong, if she is indeed a free agent. This of course assumes she would even want anything to do with the WWE, which if she is smart she would not want to bother.

The reason why, is she would honestly have no competition, and her being added to the roster would only point out just how weak the WWE female roster is right now. Besides maybe 3 Divas, those being Mickie James, Gail Kim, and Beth Phoenix, who could even compete with her?

Now if she was a free agent maybe 5 or six years ago, this would be a totally different story. At that time Trish Stratus was still around, Lita was still around, and just overall the female wrestlers had more talent in the ring.

So please Vince, for the sake of your other Divas, do not offer Awesome Kong a contract. Unless of course you can revamp your whole Diva roster while you are at it. Anyone else agree or disagree?

Gail Kim? Seriously, she isn't anything special. Sure, she's better than Kelly Kelly, but she is obviously not being pushed. She's just there. To even think of her as competition to Kong if she can't beat Maryse is absurd. And the only reason Mickie would stand a chance is because she's the John Cena of the divas, only willing to lose. But you're right, Kong shouldn't be signed. She would just run through everyone. It would be ridiculous. And knowing Vince, he would have her called fat all the time. It would really only work if she wrestled dudes, because of the lack of diva competition. And can you imagine calling Kong a diva. That Smart, sexy, and powerful bullshit. I can tell you one thing, she ain't sexy. But like I said, she would only work if she wrestled dudes, but that would only ruin dudes credibility, so that wouldn't even work.

I think it would be smart for her to go. She's a wrester because she loves to wrestle, and the biggest organization to be in right now is WWE. They need more stars like her to make the Divas more competitive. I can see her making her mark in WWE.

I dont think that is really much of a worry. Vince has said he only wants classically attractive women in the WWE now, the main reason ODB was dumped and many speculate the reason between releases of many other gals. Gone is the time Vince cared about having a competitive division where Kong might have flourished. Now it is just about the pretty divas who mostly cant wrestle. Too bad its PG as most are only good for B&P/pudding bowl matches realistically.

I just wonder if they will just drop the Ko tag team titles now (which they probably should) or have a Hamada lose them in a handicap match

I think that on this matter, if she's smart, she'll come to the WWE. Mainly because the WWE can financially det her for life, if she chose to go there. Now, if she would rather look like a credible wrestler, and be able to maintain her, well, awsomeness, she'll move on to Japan, where they'll allow her full use of her moveset. But if she wants to only wrestle for two or three years, and wants to make the most money, she'd better go to the WWE, and make it now.

It's not like TNA has only talented workers. Kong has worked with her fair share of poor workers. Christy Hemme comes immediately to mind.

Probably Natayla and Michelle McCool. Those four can work with her, and would actually probably work the best matches with her, compared to everyone you mentioned. If she goes to Smackdown, she'll have plenty of women to wrestle against.

I disagree with your idea on why this is a bad move. I agree that if Kong wants to remain her same charachter, and use her same moveset, she shouldn't go to the WWE. There, she will be forced to work another different style. However, if she wants to make enough money to retire after this run, she should go now.

Though I can't see Vince doing it. But we'll see.

I dont know about you guys but i'd quite like to see Kong vs Pheonix or Kong vs Neidhart for that matter, there's two tough ladies who could easily hold their own against Kong, plus it'd be intresting to see how they used Kong to kill the 'piggy james' angle, i mean James may have put on a bit over the past few months, but she aint no Kong, infact that'd be an 'awesome' way to bring her into wwe, by having her destroy all of the heel females on Raw saving Mickie and then crushing her too, because she can.

WWE shouldnt sign awesome kong? Why not? Lack of competition? Hardly. There are a number of divas who could hold their own quite well against Kong. (Beth Phoenix, Natalyia, Mickie, Katie Lee-when used, the new british acquisition in FCW, Eve, and is rumor plays out Alyssa Flash though I'll believe that when i see it). She has a good rapport with Christian and Angle coming back within six-months. Also it makes sense from a marketing standpoint. No real African-American women who are viable. Fox is a joke.

But from a storyline.....

Picture the piggie james angle. McCool and company goes on and on beating poor Mickie until Mickie had enough and needs a partner who is similar (being picked on and such), and bam, AWESOME KONG through the curtains. Mickie and Kong clean house, set up a mini-feud between them. Along comes Beth and Natalyia, the story goes on. ....

Awesome Kong will be the competition, by adding Kong to the WWE's roster this will big time boost up the divas roster. Yeah she is not skinny or hot but shit man WWE really needs to go out there and try there best to help the division.

Pretty much. She could be a HUGE draw in the WWE if they used her properly. Unfortunately your right, Vince would have no idea what to do with her and she doesnt fit anything that Vince wants in a Diva anyways.

Kong is in an odd situation IMO. She can legitamately wrestle male wrestlers (probably even outwork some of them). Its too bad, cause people like Kong, Phoenix etc will never be able to reach their full potential due to the handcuffs the wrestling world puts on them strictly because they are "female".

Kong could be a huge addition to the Womens division in WWE. She could have great feuds with a face Beth Phoenix and Nattie Neidhart.

Vince is a business man. He knows what is best for his company. TNA has a good knockout division and don't think for a second that Vince doesn't know that. WWE acquiring Kong could take the Womens titles to new levels. To say that Vince only wants attractive girls is not the total truth. Look at Maria just getting cut loose. She was one of the more popular girls because of her looks, that was a total shock to me.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Kong end up in WWE. Actually I'm anticipating her arrival to the big time!

Very sad news indeed if Kong is in fact "future endeavored" from TNA. She was one of the reasons I've been enjoying the promotion as much as I have.

In regards to her going to WWE, I mostly agree with the OP that it's probably a bad idea. Let us put aside the "diva" aspect for a moment and focus on what Vince generally tends to do with big people after they've outlived their usefulness of being, well... "big people."

Vader - took one of the biggest, baddest, legitimately toughest heels in all of pro-wrestling and made him look nothing short of ridiculous. It's hard to argue that Vaders WWF run didn't outright kill his career in the United States.

Big Show - should've been booked as an unstoppable force (and was for a little while), being the "largest athlete in pro sports" and all. Looking at history, Show has been made to look goofy more times than not and downright weak on occasion depending on who (Cena, HHH, almost any main eventer) he's in there with.

Matt Morgan - Stuttering angle... end of story.

Great Khali - came in and absolutely destroyed the Undertaker in their first 1-on-1. WWE didn't have faith in him for the first Punjabi Prison match, so the aforementioned Big Show took his place. Tapped out to John Cena (!) and has since done Kiss Cam segments and been made to look generally goofy. Granted, some of those bits were humorous and Khali certainly isn't the "greatest talent", but for a nearly 8 foot tall guy? C'mon now.

As for a female example, Rhonda Sing - A world traveller and former mutli-time champion repackaged by WWF as the trailer park living, Harvey Whippleman dating Bertha Faye. Wrestled in a program with Alundra Blayze (Medusa) mostly for comedic effect. With her power arsenal banned, she became a transitional champion between Blayze's title reigns, nothing more. She eventually got fed up and asked for her release.

And THAT is precisely how I see Kong being used in WWE. She'll come in and clean house, somewhat similar to her performance in TNA. Creative will decide that she's going to be a "gentle giant" and begin diminishing her moveset post-haste. She'll "fall in love" with one of the guys on the roster (probably Santino Marella or Zack Ryder or some nonsense) and be smitten, where she'll proceed to take count-out and pinfall losses to such standout athletes as Kelly Kelly. At which point, she'll be phased out for a few months and either ask for her release or be shown the door.

Sure, Kong may make her money signing a lucrative deal with WWE, but at what cost to her reputation?

Kong should sign with the WWE, this would be the one and only oppurtunity to Push Beth Phoenix as a face, think of it Kong comes in and cleans house as the divas are no match for her and she calls for any diva in the back left to Cross the Line ( as a shot at TNA) and out comes Beth Phoenix as the saviour and the only realistic contender the WWe has for Kong.
This would be a great feud and I think in this role the 2 of them can carry the female side of the company with some great matches and Beth can finally show her full arsenal and get the real respect as a talent she truly deserves. The writing team can write real feuds for these 2. not like the gimmick stuff they have for the divas which people use as washroom time or smoke/snack time.
IMO these 2 would be the best womens match up ever size strength and ability, and Beth is sexy and beautiful and can easily carry the torch as the face. There has never been a dominant female heel since Chyna and there was no Beth Phoenix size diva to go against so when trish beats her you still say yeah right. This feud would be legit.

Gail Kim is the best wrestler right now on raw if you actually are able to tell the difference between fanasty and relity you know maryse sucks and is only winning matches cause shes sexy and can sexy pin . You should actually watch some other quality programming and Kong should sign with WWE it can be a start of a new era

I've been watching the WWE and TNA for quite some years now and I'm not a fan of neither. If I have to choose it is WWE! There was a point where I loved TNA, but I can't stand watching it today. Gail was a huge draw(diva wise) for TNA. Without Gail TNA seems dull with the Diva competition lately. I mean during this past decade the diva's talents have been subsiding, but you can't blame them.

Nowadays, hardly any diva or knockout actually trains to get to their company such as Kelly. Kelly just improved during the house shows being able to somewhat "improve". I disagree completely with some of your statements, being that TNA has some really bad knockouts as well such as most of their rookies. I mean Lacey, Velvet, and Christy. TNA has their own share of talent disabilities as well. People should stop looking at the negative sides of the WWE and look at their bright sides.

Just because they are pretty doesn't mean they can't wrestle! There are some knockouts that I personally thought can't wrestle, but the WWE haters love.

I remember Bertha Faye absolutely scaring the shit out of me when I was a kid. I was a big fan of Alundra Blayze back in the day, and I used to hate seeing that fat bitch Bertha destroy my precious, bad ass Blayze.

Point here is, WWE caters to kids these days, correct? Well, they need something scary in the Women's Division, that will get not just men, who won't like any kind of pussy that's unattractive, but also kids, who will be terrified of Kong, to go against her when she comes down and crushes their favorite lady wrestler.

I have to say yes, Kong should go to WWE. The Diva's division is stale. It is full of hot beautiful women (not wrestlers), and seeing Kong snap them in half would give a facelift to the division. The Divas need a real threat. The only way Kong would work is to monsterify her (ya ya, not a real word, but my dictionary is missing pages), and have her run unstopped until she gets a title. Have her hold it for a while, and have the divas fail. Finally, someone will be able to beat her, and that will be a BIG win that will restore credibility.

Now if they have Kong just become a big jobber like the Great Khali or Mark Henry is, then hell no...that won't work. I'll get sick to my stomach if Maryse, Fox, McCool or Jillian Hall cleanly pin Kong with a one hit wonder. Bleck...

Someone said in this thread that Gail Kim was useless. Ummm...where were you when the Knockouts title was first introduced?? It was all Kim vs. Kong, and they were good matches. Believable, unlike most in the WWE.

Even if they bring Kong in for a few years, she has enough talent to shake the WWE women's division for a while. So bring her in.
