WWE Money In The Bank: WWE United States Championship - Rusev (c) VS Titus O'Neil

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
WWE announced earlier today that Rusev will defend the US title at MITB against Titus O'Neil.

Rusev is a guy that's probably going to be a consistent upper mid-card mainstay in WWE for the next 10 years as he's only 30 years old and has been wrestling since 2008 whereas Titus got into the business pretty late since he started back in '09 and is 39 years old.

Titus is a guy that I think most people view as a sentimental favorite in that he's someone who's worked hard for WWE, hasn't complained even if he's given an absolute piece of shit for a program and, let's face it, he got screwed over by Vince with this whole suspension deal. Vince reacting the way he did, which was an absolutely massive overreaction, is a prime example of why wrestlers in WWE behave backstage as though they're walking in the middle of a mine field. Whenever I think of the times Stone Cold Steve Austin says that guys need to stand up or step up as far as elevating their own careers, Titus' suspension is what springs to mind because Vince doesn't allow very many wrestlers the sort of creative input that he enjoyed back in the day or to just sort of playfully goof around.

Anyhow, back to topic, a US title run is probably the best that Titus is going to get in his career and I think a lot of other people sense it. As a result, I'm sure a good number wouldn't mind seeing him thrown this bone. I don't see it happening, however, as Vince sees a bigger upside in Rusev over the long term and he's probably right.

Russev's us title runs are pretty good and he's just won the title.
I don't see him hot potatoing the title already.

Titus playing the "american hero" thing, is pretty typical, I like the Foreigner touting the US title over the Americans a lot more than when an American has it and plays goodie goodie, I think Titus chasing the title for a bit, and showing us what he can do before getting the actual strap could be better.

If Rusev loses this one, than I think it's pretty clear that his standing in the company is nowhere near what it used to be, but I don't see that happening. I'll be honest, I'm not particularly interested in this feud as Titus has never really done anything for me, not in NXT, not with the PTP, and not as a singles guy. Still, he's likeable enough and I think it's cool that he's getting a high-profile program, even if it's an apology for the way his suspension was handled, which I think it is.

They seem to be starting over with Rusev and Lana which I think is a smart move. Rusev is a hell of a lot more polished now than he was then, and his character has a whole lot more depth. If they give him a strong run with the title, he has a chance of positioning himself higher on the card again, which is a blessing after the crap he's been given over the past year.

Giving Titus the title here doesn't do much other than generating a nice pop. I think we all know he's not going to be doing too much past this program, so let Rusev run with it.

This is the weakest title challenger for any title in a while. When O'Neill's career ends he'll be known as the guy who got a remarkably long suspension just for holding Vince's arm.

Totally agree that this is by far the WEAKEST challenger for any title in a while. In a few years time I'm probably going to go through PPVs to watch and stumble across this and totally forget that this match was booked. I have no interest whatsoever in this feud. Darren Young would have been more interesting and he sucks! They should've given Rusev someone like Apollo Crews a go to give him some exposure even if he ends up getting defeated.

The PTP should never have split, that's the only time I think I found myself a little interested in something Titus was doing.

No question this match is an apology for screwing Titus over. But, I think Titus helped his own cause by not whining about it and moved forward, However, if Rusev drops the belt now, he goes nowhere past the mid-card. Titus, IMO, should be sent to NXT to help develop the future. He really has none on the Main Roster.

Y not Titus? He's entertaining, has a pretty good moveset and the fans dig him. Yeah, Titus is a little long in the tooth in wrestling years age-wise at 39, but who's to say he can't be a capable mid-carder for the next few years? Titus could be a better version of Ryback if "the Authority" gets behind him. I'm hoping for a short, but entertaining match that highlights Rusev & Titus' strength. Titus should win this match by DQ. Whether Lana hits him w/the title or Rusev hits him w/brass knuckles.

Rusev is the best wrestler on the roster, I hope that he has a nice long reign like he did last time. He should be back on the fast track to being the intimating force that he used to be. Time will tell, but one has to assume that Titus derailed his momentum for his past decisions. He seems like a stepping stone for Rusev here.

This is 2014 all over for Rusev. Beating all the black guys. Rusev should get an easy win against Titus. I'm curious to see if Titus and Rusev would get drafted to the same brand. If so, they may continue this feud through Battleground.

Truly happy for Rusev getting his title back after suffering with LoN and that love quadrangle.

Titus is a likeable wrestler and it could be a fun match consideeing that both guys are strong enough.

But still Titus shouldn't win this match in any condition whatsoever.

Rusev has just won the title and he should have a lengthy strong reign. Atleast until Summerslam.

Rusev has the potential to be a main eventer in future and WWE can make a star out of him just with strong booking.
