WWE Council of War

I think he gets a lot of both fair and unfair criticism. At times he's hijacked shows and only put on stuff with his buddies (feuding with Nash in 03 rather than say Benoit who was hotter than the hell he's currently in) but he also can bring it when he has to (dragging a passable match out of Khali for instance). He's a top level star, but not in the highest levels of stars. I'd put him up there with Bret and Cena.

LULZ remember the first year we put together top 100 lists for the tournament and Shocky had him ranked higher than I did?

Absurd.

I go to thinking about this becuase beside the Undertaker, Triple H has been the single constant since the end of Rock N Wrestling. I thought of it becuase of me and you talking about how long we had been here, and watched everyone come and go, rise and leave, or burnout.

We are like the Taker and Triple H of this place. Except around more than Undertaker. lulz.

The I thought I had never gotten a definitive opinion on Triple H from you or Sly. You two both seem to steer clear of the arguments involving him, which suprises me when it comes to Sly

I hate it and love it. Ill take it. Personally I think he is severely underrated in the ring, but then again, that likely isnt by anyone who has a fucking clue,

He's capable of having good matches with just about anyone but he needs someone special to bring him to his best. He rarely brings out the best in others, but it isn't totally unheard of.

Off the top of my head Shawn and Cena bring out the best in him. Taker got a great match out of him too but it's hard to mess up a post 2000 Taker match at Mania.

Their match at NWO is one of the most underrated of all time. That shit was totally out of control. Sure the roof spot toward the end was pretty contrived, still a fuckin badass match nontheless

That suffers from the opposite effect of Austin vs. Hart at Survivor Series 96: the previous match was so good the next match was almost inconsequential.

It's great indeed, but the I Quit match definitely is perfect, even down to the commentary and the crowd reactions. Managing to pull a double turn to perfection is damn near impossible and they nailed it.

See, you proved my point. Everyone always talks about everything BESIDES the actual wrestling when it comes to that match. Shit, minute for minute, Austin Vs Bret at SS 96 might be the best match ive ever seen.

Im more of a stickler for classic styled wrestling though, its probably a personal preference thing.

Well they're very different matches. You can't really compare the two move for move so it's hard to do. They were for different purposes also.
