I think they're trying to expand the roster and milk all the storylines for as much as they can. Spread it out so they can have several rivarlies at once.
Mysterio is a bad champ, I don't like him but I like what they're doing. But what they SHOULD be doing is redesigning the belt.
New era = new belt?

Fine rey is champion... it broke the same chain of champions atleast so i just hope they run with this. Maybe a miz rey fued then del rio comes in. But i fear that the reality is that rey wont even leave this raw with the tittle.

I don't know if the "Absolutely no Spoilers" goes for the West Coast too but I'm sure the Modders will jump in to clarify. They're pretty good at removing Threads that contain spoilers for Tapings BUT if it's already aired (as in East Coast), I think it's okay to discuss.

Back on topic: I don't think Rey will be champion for long. I was really hoping Del Rio would cash in tonight but I was wrong.

I think this outcome makes sense. If the WWE wants a face to have the title right now who is not John Cena, there wasn't really many other viable opportunities at the moment. While I don't see him being much more than a transitional champion (as someone else already stated), I don't see the problem.

Its not spoilers if its happening now, its only spoilers if the information is told days in advance. I was told this by a Mod when I called him out for it (unknowingly).


Rey was probably told that he would at least GET the WWE title. Would it surprise me if he lost...no. I hope he doesn't...I hope he keeps it for awhile. Let Cena chase it. We know that his match at WM against Rock is going to be for the title...let Cena sweat it out and get it back at the last minute. He already has enough title reigns and still has years left. Rey is on his way out so let him ride awhile.

Now that it is Cena vs Mysterio I am hoping to see Cena beat Mysterio, and while he is celebrating the Miz runs down and beats down Cena. Then Alberto Del Rio runs down and beats Cena because of Miz. This sets up possibly a 4 way at Summerslam or maybe two seperate matches with Miz vs Cena as #1 contender and Mysterio vs Del Rio for title.

Rey Mysterio isn't WWE Champion anymore, so I think he will going to feud with The Miz in some sort.

It was good to see Rey as the WWE Champion, but the CM Punk - Cena storyline is much bigger than him. They made him WWE Champion to make him a Grand Slam Champion I guess, and John Cena vs Mysterio is almost a dream match, the kids hero clashed.

Good Monday Night Raw, TOP 3 of the year in my book.

The sad part is that Rey will probably go back to being a mid-card guy who has 2 minute matches again. I'm not the biggest fan of his, but I respect the fact that he has worked his tail off during his career and what a way to be rewarded by being champion for about an hour and 45 minutes only to give it back to the man who can't go more than a few days without that title around his waist. Same ole crap.

It was pretty clear he resigned when he walked out MITB as champ.

Wow, every time WWE takes one step forward, it's two steps back. As much as I wanted to throw up watching Cena win his 1,000 championship, when I saw he was holding the same exact piece of crap spinner belt that has been here since 2005, I actually really wanted to throw my remote at the TV. The WWE really had the oppurtunity to start fresh here, and this ending tonight proves WWE is Cena 4 Life. Its his belt. His show. Hell you know Punk is going to job to him once they have the rematch. Then punk will go back doing what ? Mysterio emberassed yet again, despite being one of the hardest workers in the biz. WWE cant decide if Del Rio should be facing Cena at Summerslam or what ? I have defended Cena from attacks for years, the guy is not a bad wrestler, but the way he is being used as the post 2000 version Hulk Hogan is nauseating. Cena will dominate and win the title over and over and over again. I have been down on the product and this little thing punk pulled off got me interested again, now i see it all going back down the toilet. WWE really had an oppurtunity to milk this thing but they bring punk back already ? Why to crown Cena the undiputed champion. This is really becoming painful to watch.
