What to say about Hulk Hogan. He is the man that brought professional wrestling to Main Stream America. He has held numerous titles spanning almost 20 years. He's a member of the WWE HoF and has been granted many awards by both Pro Wrestling Illustrated and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. They are way to many to name them all but they include Wrestler of the Year, match of the year , most popular wrestler, most hated wrestler and most insperational wrestler.

Austin is one of the pioneers of the Attitude Era of the WWE. He has feuded with some the the best in the business. He has held numerous titles in WCW and WWE. He has also been given many awards by both PWI and WON that inculde Feud of the year, Match of the year, and Rookie of the year.

How is this not the Finals??

Holy crap...

I'm going to have to vote as a fan, and say Hogan. That is not to say that Austin is not a huge legend. They both have a rabid fan base, they both won a trophy-case full of titles, and have been involved in some of the greatest feuds ever.

Hogan, however, came first, and was bigger for my generation, than Austin was for his. At least in my opinion...This will be close, and neither deserves to lose...

Well this is a match that could be a conference finals. Both men were the ultimate merchandise sellers, in two different eras. The Attitude Era that for a while made millions of fans, and created the image of Wrestling that we currently watch. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the centerpiece of this period. Go back ten years, and an entirely different period takes place, that we refer to as the Golden Era. This was Hulk Hogan's time. I place Hogan's importance in many different faucets that result in my choice of him. He was the most important figure by a long shot during his period. He is the wrestler with the greatest legacy, my mother in law, the wrestling hater that she knows, knows Hulk Hogan, but not Stone Cold. His mark on wrestling is everlasting, and I will go as far to say as Stone Cold perhaps left as much negatives on the industry that he left positives. When it comes down to it, Hogan is a Hero, a Legend, The mold of a successful Profession Wrestler. Stone Cold does not live up to that legacy.
