EXTREME RULES RESULTS

Tables Match: Team Rhodes Scholars def. Team Hell No in a Tables Match after interference from The Shield to become the new Tag Team Champions!

The Rock cut a pre-recorded promo stating that he’s sorry he had to leave after Wrestlemania, but he’s all healed up now. He tells Cena that he’ll be at Raw the night after Payback, with a HUGE announcement.

Chairs Match: Chris Jericho def. Fandango via pinfall

Stretcher Match: Wade Barrett def. The Miz.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Mark Henry def. Sheamus via pinfall.

Steel Cage Match: Brock Lesnar def. Triple H inside a Steel Cage. HHH was stretchered out.

No Holds Barred Match: Randy Orton def. The Big Show via pinfall after hitting the RKO after ducking the KO punch.

Ladder Match: Dolph Ziggler def. Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Vince McMahon made a rare appearance in a State of the WWE address. He said that after tonight, the WWE would be shaken up as much as it was at the beginning of the Attitude Era. He says tonight marks the re-branding of the WWE.

There will be a re-brand extension, with all Titles being exclusive to one brand. He said the rosters will be announced on WWE.com He also said that due to this being a new era, new faces need to run each brand. Therefore, the Board of Directors will decide and he will announce brand new GMs on Monday and Friday on Raw and SD respectively.

Flag Match: Kofi Kingston def. Antonio Cesaro the US Title. Kofi defended his Ghanaian flag and took down Cesaro’s Swiss flag to a good response.

Last Man Standing Match: Ended in a draw when both John Cena and Ryback failed to answer to the 10 count.

Booker's Note: Thanks to JAM for helping me out immensely with this opening post, and helping me out with the formatting of my shows. First show will be up sometime next week, and shows will be out once a week, in recap form.

Monday Night Raw 20/5/13- Extreme Fallout!

-Last night, at the Extreme Rules PPV, we saw new Champions, brutal hardcore action, returns, heartache and glory all rolled into one night at the Extreme Rules PPV. In our Main Event, Ryback and John Cena finally faced off inside the squared circle, and Cena got the perhaps the biggest test he's going to get when he was kept down for a 10 Count b Ryback. Unfortunatley for our challenger, he could not meet the ten count either. Both Cena and Ryback will be here tonight, will Ryback look for another shot at the Champ?!

- NEW CHAMPIONS!!: Last night, in a brutal Tables match, Team Hell No's immense reign atop the Tag Divison was finally ended by the team of Rhode Scholars (with a little help from The Shield) threw Kane through a Table to pick up the gold they've been hunting all year long. The question is, who will Team Hell No want to extract vengeance on? Rhode Scholars or the trio of Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins?

- Triple H destroyed: Broken, beaten down, bloodied. The Game was all three of these after Lesnar went to town on him inside the hellacious Steel Cage. Triple H barely got any offence in whilst the former UFC Heavyweight Champion used everything in his repertoire to viciously obliterate The King of Kings. Has HHH been dethroned, and will we ever see him wrestle again. Tune in to Monday Night Raw to find out!

- The Great One Returns: The People's Champion The Rock made a special PPV apperance via satellite, promising that he'd be back once again, and rumour has it he's going for his rematch at the WWE Championship! The night after our next PPV, Payback, The Rock will Bring It live on Raw, and told John Cena, our WWE Champ, to be there. What could this huge announcement be??

- In other news, Kofi Kingston retained his US Championship in a No Holds Barred Flag Match against Antonio Cesaro. What is next for the Swiss Superman, will he be able to bounce back from a crippling defeat to the Pride Of Ghana?

Monday Night Raw, May 19 2013

RAW-LOGO.png

The Raw pyro goes off and we are welcomed to Raw by Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler, and they recap last night’s Extreme Rules PPV. They discuss Cena and Ryback drawing in the Last Man Standing match, and the fact they have new Tag Champs. John Cena’s music hits, and the champ arrives out to a huge mixed reaction from the crowd. He looks around, not as happy go lucky as usual. He says last night, he was in one hell of a fight, He said he thought he’d never experience the pain he went through with Brock Lesnar at last year’s Extreme Rules, but last night Ryback beat the holy hell out of him. However, he gave as good as he got, and ultimately retained his WWE Title.

Ryback comes out to a mixed reaction also, with kids booing him, but the older males in the audience cheering for him. Ryback says that Cena has some cheek coming out here and claiming he retained his WWE Title. Ryback says that he was the one who hit the Shell-shocked through the table that ended it all. Ultimately, he took down Cena, but foolishly made the mistake of hurting himself in the process. He says Cena knows he can’t beat him, and he’ll prove that any time, any place.

Rhode Scholars music hits, and they come out parading their new championships. Sandow has a mic and asks the crowd to kindly ‘shut their traps!’ He says that last night, he and the mustachioed marvel, Cody Rhodes, finally gained the Tag Team Championships from those buffoons Team Hell no. Cody grabs the mic and says that since they actually won last night, they should be starting the show. They tell Cena and Ryback to get out of their ring. Cena is about to respond, when Vince McMahon’s music hits. He says that he’s not here to make any matches; he’ll leave that up to the NEW Raw GM…..Mick Foley!!

The crowd pop big for Mrs. Foley’s baby boy, who arrives out in a suit and tie. He says that it’s an honor to be the Raw GM once more, and he’s out here to make his first act. In tonight’s Main Event, the new champions will team up to face the team of Ryback….and John Cena! He addresses Ryback, saying if he turns his back on Cena, he won’t get another shot at the WWE Title. He then tells Rhode Scholars if they try to back out of this, they will be stripped of the Tag Team titles immediately! The four men stare each other down, with Cena looking wary of Ryback attacking him as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial and Kofi Kingston’s music hits and he comes out ready for action. Xavier Woods comes out, and has a mic in hand on his Raw debut. He says that he’s here tonight to show the world why he should be a WWE Superstar!

Match 1: Xavier Woods def. Kofi Kingston in a Non-Title match

Finish: A back and forth match here. Kofi looks for Trouble in Paradise, but Antonio Cesaro runs down to the apron and distracts the US Champ. Kofi turns away and goes for the Trouble In Paradise, but Woods gets the rollup and grabs the tights for the 3. He rolls out of the ring, and Cesaro pats him on the back before leaving, laughing at Kofi.

Commercial

As we come back from Commercial, a vignette airs with a creepy voice over; stating that vengeance is coming for a Superstar in the near future, and when it does…it’ll be so sweet! A creepy laugh ends the vignette.

The commentators ponder who it could be as Triple H’s music hits and the crowd pop massively for the Game who comes limping out on crutches. The commentators talk about how Brock dominated HHH once more, and finally proved he was better than Triple H inside a steel cage last night. HHH grabs a mic and says that last night was perhaps the most brutal beating he’d ever taken. Last night proved to him that Brock Lesnar can back up his words. He says that he can admit that Brock destroyed him, but that doesn’t mean Brock has gained his respect.

Before HHH can continue Lesnar’s music hits and he comes strolling out alone, with a Sledgehammer in his hand. He makes his way to the ring as HHH stares at him. Brock gets right in The Cerebral Assassin’s face before kicking the two crutches away from under HHH, who falls to the ground. He grabs HHH and lifts him on his shoulders for an F-5, when Sheamus comes running from the back to save The Game!

Brock drops HHH and goes after Sheamus and the two begin to brawl. Sheamus gets the upper hand and clotheslines Brock out of the ring, who walks away, laughing. Sheamus begs him to come back to the ring, but Brock just bounces on his toes and laughs before leaving backstage as HHH gets to his feet, with the help of his friend.

The commentators reflect on what just happened, as we go backstage to where Josh Matthews asks Lesnar for a moment, asking him what he thinks of Sheamus saving HHH. Brock says that he already dominated HHH, he already dominated Cena, and if this ginger idiot wants to join the crew, he can go right ahead! Josh thanks Brock for his time as he walks away.

Commercial

We arrive back from commercial, and Antonio Cesaro is in Mick Foley’s office. He demands one more shot at the US Title. Before Mick can answer, Xavier Woods bursts through the door, saying that if anyone deserves a shot, it’s him. After all, he just pinned the Champion. Foley interrupts and tells Cesaro that hasn’t he lost enough times to Kofi? He then tells Woods that he can’t just walk into a match for the US Title after one win, he has to prove himself. He gives both men a chance however, and says that they will go one on one in a #1 Contenders match next week to see who faces Kofi Kingston at Payback!

We return back to the ring, where Brad Maddox is in action, and Ted DiBiase comes out to a miniscule pop on his return to Raw.

Match 2: Ted DiBiase def. Brad Maddox

Finish: This one is over in a couple of minutes, as Ted hits Dream Street and covers Brad for the pin.

DiBiase celebrates in the ring as we go to a recap of our first promo of the night, and the announcement of Cena/Ryback vs. Rhode Scholars in the main event.

We go back to the ring, where The Shield’s music hits, and they make their way through the crowd to loud boos from the crowd. They climb over the barricade into the ring, and each of them has a microphone in hand as they stare out at the crowd. Ambrose speaks first, and says that last night, they continued their rocky road to justice. They said they would take down Team Hell No, and last night, that’s exactly what they did. Rollins said that he isn’t gonna lie, this is entirely personal against Team Hell No. Since the very beginning, Kane and Bryan have wanted to take them down, but they’ve failed every single time. Reigns says that once The Shield is finished with Kane and Daniel Bryan, they will…Believe in The Shield!

Kane’s pyro hits and the three jolt in fear. Kane and Daniel Bryan stop on the ramp and Kane asks The Shield do they feel lucky? Cause tonight, if they’re not careful, himself and Bryan will give you a reason to Believe in Team Hell No! They begin to make their way down to the ring as The Shield ready themselves for battle.

However, Mick Foley’s face appears on the tron, and he asks Kane and Bryan to stop where they are. He says that he knows that Team Hell No want their hands on The Shield, but they cant just go round brawling with whoever the hell they want. He says that they are entitled to a rematch, and next week on Raw, they’ll get just that. He then says that at Payback, Team Hell No will face The Shield in a 2 on 3 handicap match! But Foley wants everyone but Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins to clear the ring, cause they’re in action…and it’s next!

Commercial

We come back from commercial to see Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins squaring off in the squared circle

Match 3: Seth Rollins def. Daniel Bryan

Finish: Bryan goes up top for a Diving Headbutt, but Ambrose distracts the ref as Reigns pulls Bryan down. Rollins hits a suplex into a pin for the win. After the match, Kane grabs Rollins by the throat, and does the same to Ambrose who tries to rush into the ring. He is about to double chokeslam them, when Reigns spears him from out of nowhere! The Shield stands tall over Bryan and Kane as we go backstage to see The New Age Outlaws walking towards the ring for their match.

Commercial

We come back from commercial and see the Prime Time Playas in the ring swinging from side to side as they prepare for their match. The NAO’s music hits and the crowd on their feet as Road Dogg and Billy Gunn arrive out for the match

Match 4: The New Age Outlaws vs. Prime Time Playas ended in a no-contest

Finish: Road Dogg and Darren Young are the two legal men as Road Dogg hits rights and lefts and starts to shimmy and he hits the elbow drop on Young. Suddenly, Rhode Scholars rush the ring and attack both teams, taking them down with their belts. They stand tall over the four bodies as we go to our final commercial

Commercial

We return from our final commercial and Rhode Scholars are waiting in the ring for their opponents. Ryback’s music hits and he makes his way out. He is followed out by John Cena, and the partners stare each other down as Cena lifts his Championship high. Rhodes hits a cheap shot on Cena to start the match.

Main Event: Rhode Scholars def. Ryback and John Cena

Finish: Cena has Rhodes up on his shoulders for the AA, but Sandow attacks him from behind. He taunts the fans, but Ryback attacks him with a big Meat hook clothesline, turning him inside out. He then grabs Cena and Shellshocks him to the mat, and Cody crawls over and makes the pin as Ryback walks away, smirking.

As Rhode Scholars celebrate, The New Age Outlaws race down from the back and attack the two, and the two teams brawl to the back. As Cena struggles to his feet, Ryback appears again on the ramp, and tells Cena ‘Ryback Rules!’ and he will soon have the Title belt as Raw goes off the air.

Editor's note: The show is short, however it will increase in length as the project goes on, and also, I felt that I've covered most points, and built on feuds

WWE News and Rumours- Vince to retire? Rock returning?

- After Extreme Rules on Sunday, Vince McMahon announced a new WWE Era, and a re-branding of the product. Some say that this in truth was the work of the soon to be successor of Vince, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque. However, Triple H could not make the announcement because of course, he was still competing in in-ring action. Rumour has it that Vince is in his last stint near the top of the WWE, and could step down soon, handing the reigns over to his daughter and his son-in-law. Sources inside WWE feel that Vince is losing interest in what looks to be becoming a less and less popular product, leading them to believe that Hunter will take over 'By Summerslam'

- Also on the Extreme Rules PPV, The Rock made his first appearence since Wrestlemania and of course since leaving without telling the 'E the day after. With Rock and Triple H not the best of friends, some think that this is the beginning of a drop of temperature between WWE and The Rock. However, The Rock looks set to come back for one last stint perhaps to go after the WWE Title one more time.

- WWE officials, and Triple H especially are seemingly high on Ted DiBiase Jr. so expect a big push for him in the upcoming months. They are also high on Xavier Woods, who looked comfortable in the ring with Kofi Kingston this past week on Raw. With HHH seemingly going to come into as much, if not more power than Vince McMahon, he wants to push these two to the moon, and also fancies Antonio Cesaro much more than McMahon. There are also rumours of a lot of fresh blood coming in over the next few weeks and months, and younger stars will be given more of a spotlight. This is seemingly the reson behind Woods' sudden push for the US Title, and DiBiase's impressive display on Raw.

-Finally, it seems as if Brock Lesnar's time at WWE is at a crossroads. They have paired him up with Sheamus for the next while, but with them wanting to keep Sheamus strong, but needing Brock to start dominating to prove himself as a viable contender for the WWE Title/Streak next year, there is disagreement over the direction this feud should take.

We should get more updates as we get closer to the PPV.

I'll give you a first show review, why not?

- First up, it does feel too short. I know you said they'll start to get longer and they really need to, or I'm going to be running through these in minutes.

- I don't really like the way that you write EVERYTHING in recap form. It's like reading something that's already happened, yet none of it ever has. Give it some more detail, make it sound like it's happening and well, just make it interesting. Also, you keep on changing tenses. Not cool.

- Your matches are kinda random, which is just weird and you could do better with the way you write them. Either give a recap of the whole match, or write the whole match. Don't just give us the finish, that's horrid. And if you insist of giving us the finish, then give it to us in full description.

Anyways, onto the show.

- So, Xavier Woods has debuted? That's cool, but why? You've got him beating the US Champ in his debut. Yeah, Cesaro aids it, but that's risky for sure. And how comes Cesaro/Woods are all of a sudden friends?

- That vignette talking about the debut/return of a superstar, I saw that on my THIRD read through of your show. Make it stand out, please! Sheamus & Lesnar, not too fussed on that. WAIT, now Cesaro and Woods are arguing? This makes no sense man, at all.

- Maddox vs DiBiase, yawn. If you're writing a squash, write it up. So, The Shield made Team Hell No pay? By letting Rhodes Scholars win the Tag Titles? That still grates me, you should've had Shield win at the PPV.

- Rollins vs Bryan is the first match that makes sense and it ends the right way, congratulations. Why are the NAO on the show? If you're having them as viable contenders to the Tag Titles, remember Hell No have a rematch. We have too much Rhodes Scholars on such a short show. Getting involved in the NAO match and they have a match next themselves? Hm.

- Rhodes Scholars vs Ryback/Cena is an obvious outcome, we all expected Ryback to turn on Cena, then we get NAO AGAIN? Overkill man, complete overkill. I'm not trying to be rude, but it is.

Overall, this isn't a great show at all. I would like to see a lot more effort put into the next shows. More match writing, a lot more description and making it a lot more enjoyable. Make the caliber of your matches better and make sure we can see everything nice and clear. This isn't brilliant, but if you put in a lot of work, it can be better.

Thanks for the honest feedback mate, at least you're giving me some. I honestly cannot do any longer shows, I simply don't have the time to do that. So if that's the main turn off for you on this BTB, I suggest you don't read. Not trying to be rude, but the shows aren't gonna be 20 pages on Microsoft Word, they just aren't. And not for one second do I not appreciate feedback, I just advise you there's no point reading if you're looking for GCB length shows.

EDIT: I'm gonna try with Smackdown to get out a longer show.

Opening segment was alright but it would’ve been better to see how the Cena/Ryback match at Extreme Rules became a draw, which is what I mentioned to you before but you didn’t do anything about it. Pretty random for Team Rhodes Scholars to interrupt Cena and Ryback and I already knew what was going to happen. Especially with Foley being named the new GM, it was evident and predictable what the main event of the night will be. It was an alright opening segment but it was very predictable.

So you’re setting up a Brock/Sheamus feud and I’m all for it. Sheamus is a very good in-ring performer and Brock could use some new talent to work with. I guess it made sense to choose the Irish man to feud with Brock since HHH was a big fan of him. Only problem is that I think we’ll see more of HHH in this Brock/Sheamus feud. And what, you go straight into an interview with Brock? Not really something that would happen in this spot. I think it would’ve been best to not here from Brock until next week or something.

Not really sure about this feud over the US Title. You’ve just debuted Xavier Woods and he could potentially be in a title match? Not a fan of it. I see Woods much better as a face tbh. Everything about this feud just seems a little rushed to me. Dibiase/Maddox match….what was the point? Like I’ve said in other reviews, you want every match, every segment, every comment made from the announce team to mean something for the episode. This Dibiase/Maddox match accomplished nothing. If you were trying to establish Dibiase again, this was the wrong way of doing it since Maddox isn’t exactly impressive.

NAO huh? I think it was alright to bring them in but a younger, underutilized team would’ve been better for a push. Maybe the Usos? Gabriel and Kidd? Prime Time Players? The banter between THN and The Shield didn’t really achieve anything as well. You claim that it has become personal between the two teams, but how exactly did it become personal?

I’m just not a big fan of Ryback so I don’t really like the ending at all. And another NAO appearance? That’s one too much imo. I think with the NAO appearance, it kind of ruined the main event. With the way you wrote it, I think Team Rhodes Scholars were pretty outmatched and seemingly tired so for NAO to brawl with them didn’t really much sense, it seemed heelish if anything.

Overall, a lot of work has to be done. I think you know what feuds you want but you’re not sure how to write it out. However, with more writing, you can definitely improve. Don’t mean for this review to be harsh at all, it’s just some things I want to point out for you so that you can improve. Forgive me if I failed to mention something good. But I did like the HHH/Brock/Sheamus segment so I hope you have big plans for the impending feud with Brock/Sheamus.

GCB "DEAD-QUICK STRAIGHT TO THE POINT" FEEDBACK:

Right, not got long but wanted to return the feedback you gave me. Rather than blast out a long, detailed feedback, I'll hit up a shorter one and then make sure I comment on all your shows as you get going. Deal?

- Formatting is fine, nice and clear. BUT the segments all merge together and it becomes very easy to miss bits that I assume you want us to notice. Find a way to break the show up into parts so that we see each part clearly.

- Detail; I understand you're not writing long, detailed shows, I really do. However, I don't see why you had it so short. You say you don't have time to write long, detailed shows like mine, fine - let me tell you a secret though, neither do I. Look at the amount of time between the SMACKDOWN and ELIMINATION CHAMBER shows I wrote. It seems to me that you were so eager to get a show on the board that you rushed it. Take longer to write a longer show. If it is good, the readers will wait. Trust me.

- Matches - I don't like the short match format, I understand the need for a summary match write-up but I think you need a little more detail. As opposed to 1/2 sentences, how much more time/effort will 4/5 sentences actually take? People who are reading the show need a hook to get them interested and I don't think this style you're using is going to hook people in.

- Not commenting on your storylines yet, I like to see how they unfold before commenting on them. I''ll give you feedback on them later down the road.

Overall, it's not the best first show and - if you want to interest people and get them into your story - you need to slow down the posting and add a tad more detail to the matches and promos. Everybody improves, I'm sure you will, on their first show but you want the first show to do something to impress. Look back on it: if you were reading that for the first time, would you be inspired to keep reading or keep checking for the next show? I think your second show needs to be better.

Hope that doesn't sound too harsh but these are things that are better pointed out so you can improve. Hope to see a good second show soon. GCB

OK, I have decided to go for a drastic change in light of the comments. I will completely re-write smackdown, but with exams next week, dont expect it until next weekend at the earliest. it will be fully written though.
