Wrestlemania XXX: The Shield VS Kane & The New Age Outlaws

Am I the only one who finds this match intriguing? I didn't like the fact that Kane chose NAO to back him up in this match, rather than having Harper and Rowan or The Ascension to back him up. But it's alright. This match has potential. It would have been awesome if this match had some stipulation. A street fight would have been the best option. If these guys get about 15-20 minutes, they could have a great match. There are only 7 matches on the main card, so they can definitely give time for each match. One thing I must say tho...
The Shield should not split! These guys are awesome as faces, and they should stay that way for some time. When they split up, it should be huge and not rushed. I'd really like to see the three have a Champion vs Rumble winner vs MITB winner next year! Reigns defeats Brock to win the title (Now that is something I'd really like to see; probably at Summerslam or at the Survivor Series this year), Rollins wins MITB and Ambrose wins Royal Rumble!!

I agree that The Shield are quite epic as faces and I was really glad that the face turn occurred instead of the split while they were still heels. One reason why I went for the split on Sunday is because I feel that it could be the perfect time to build them individually, especially with the feeling that 'Mania 30 will kick start the rises of Bryan, Wyatt and the Shield.

If they can continue as monster faces in the coming months, I'd be all for that too, tbh.

Another candidate for the opening match of the evening. If the Andre Battle Royal doesn't open, this likely will. The Shield really are deserving of a better match but this could end up being a good win for them. Kane and The Outlaws are legends at this point, the win would be another bullet on the list of accomplishments that The Shield have. As long as The Shield DO NOT LOSE. Kane and The Outlaws gain NOTHING from winning here. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Put over the future stars of the company, WWE. I think it will end up being a good match, however it won't touch the 6 man tag team match from last yeat which is a little disappointing. I won't let that ruin this though. I'm going into the match excited and hope to be entertained.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
The Shield will defeat Kane & The New Age Outlaws.

They're missing a golden opportunity with the triple threat, but The Shield should win this. The buzz surrounding The NAO's nostalgia run wore off a while ago, and Corporate Kane is kind of dull. So in the end, this feels like a Raw or Smackdown match that's not worthy of Wrestlemania. But I guess there's a chance we could see a surprise hit, because The Shield delivers in three on three tag matches nine times out of ten.

The Shield winning would be a great moment. The fans love them because they are so damn good. However, I think there time is up. While I want to see them go longer, this seems a likely place for them to split.

The fact it is the New Age Outlaws is interesting. If it was The Real Americans then it would be almost too much attention on them. The NAO and Kane can win and kind off fade away giving the fact The Shield lost more attention.

It's a shame but I reckon The Shield lose and pretty much break up.

The Shield going over appears to be the safest bet of the night.
I am not sure the Outlaws or Kane need a victory over the hottest and most over group in the company.
Whether the seeds of a split will be re-sewn during this match Im not sure, but I expect Reigns to stand out like he did in the Rumble, and I expect some great power moves on Kane.

I would love for the Shield to go over but I believe Kane and the Outlaws will get the victory. This will be the first set of signs of the Shield's possible breakup. I actually don't want them to break up yet. Ever since the turn they seem more interesting. They should get a decent fan favorite run. It may help them, at least it'll help Roman Reigns if the WWE want him to be this face of the company in the future.

And yet another filler match that while it does have an interesting backstory/storyline, the match isn't Mania material.

The question isn't if the Shield is going to win this match (because they are going to) but it's rather if we are going to see something interesting in this match? I say, probably not,

I would have much rather seen The Shield in a triple threat match. The US title is completely useless now, and needs to be gotten rid of. A triple threat with them for the title would have at least made us notice the title again. If they weren't going to go that route then they should have faced just about any other three guys on the roster. I am sure something will happen here like Reigns being left by Rollins and Ambrose or the tensions coming back and finally exploding between all three. I say Kane and The Outlaws win due to The Shield basically costing themselves the match in some way.

Putting the Stone Age Outlaws into the match was a bad decision. The Ascension would have been a way better choice. Kane teaming with SAO is very confusing. I enjoyed Kane and Shield's story until then.

This was the one sided squash that it needed to be. I knew it wouldn't even touch on the quality of last year's 6 man tag team match. Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Big Show are infinitely more believable in defeating The Shield than Kane and The New Age Outlaws. Great to see domination by The Shield though, that was great at least. I enjoyed it for that reason.

A very enjoyable squash match. Like a three man team of vintage Goldberg. In hindsight, why would you have the Old Age Outlaws be competitive against WWE's premier group.

I was all for The Shield to split, now I want to see a good 6-9 month run with them as a face faction. With occasional rematches against The Wyatt Family thrown in.

Considering The Shield are my favourites right now, I was a little disappointed at how quickly the match ended. Sure, the dominance part was great, but it was only really Reigns who got to shine. I know that's probably the plan going forward, and I'm happy with that, but no reason to make the match a piss break length. Not wishing to sound negative though, and the masks they wore during the entrance were badass.

Everyone knows that this match wasn't completely the best match for The Shield. I would agree myself. The crowd wasn't really into it because everyone knew who was going to win and I feel it was pretty boring even though The Shield came out ready for a fight. Myself I wasn't really into it.
This question has been in my head after the match was completely over; Was this match REALLY about The Shield or Roman Reigns?
As I was watching this match, it seems like Roman Reigns was the most dominant; with the spear on Kane, the double spear on the NAO, the Samoan drop, clothesline, Superman Punch, and the head kick at the end of the ring on the NAO while Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were kind of "pickin' up the scraps" left by Roman. I think this match WAS ALL ABOUT ROMAN REIGNS in my opinion.
I guess that this would lead (probably not now) to Seth and Dean turning on Roman.

It was lame they way they used The Shield on the grandest stage of them all. However, it's difficult to pinpoint what would've been the "correct way" to use them.
It would've been too soon to split them up, and start the inevitable feud that will result from that.
Should they have been in the tag title match? Maybe, but we all know that if used correctly, all 3 of these guys have main event futures ahead of them, separately. Why delay the inevitable with another run as tag champs?
Ambrose could've defended the US strap, but it's been such a prop for the past year that nobody would've bought the legitimacy of such a match, especially since his opponent would've been Big E or Swagger, or some other scrub like that.
So yeah, kind of a lame match, but they looked as dominant as ever, and their bright future was not fucked with in any way (which definetely could've happened last night with shitty booking). WWE is smart to make us wait for these guys to climb the ladder.

The match was an exercise in nothing, as far as advancing storylines or accomplishing anything. Given the importance of the Shield, this was kind of surprising. You'd think they'd have some major goings-on at the biggest PPV of the year.

I wonder if the aborted break-up of Shield interrupted some developing program and forced them into last night's waste of time. Perhaps the original WM intentions featured Roman Reigns as a single and the other two doing something of importance........all of which was cancelled when Shield remained together.

The Shield deserved a better match-up so I actually think them just demolishing the 3 has-beens worked perfectly and they looked awesome. Tonight shows why they did it in the fashion they did, they needed to mop up the C team as a big match with Evolution this summer seems likely to me.
