A Post Is Worth A Thousand Words
Doesn't everyone realize that they just did the "friend turns heel on his tag team partner best friend because of a multi-man title shot" angle at the last ppv with Batista/Mysterio? They seriously want to have DX do it at the very next one? Apparently it's not just the WWE that does things too many times too often, it's the fans as well haha
DX is selling merchandise, getting huge pops, and for the most part they're being one of those entertaining aspects of Raw right now. Am I getting a little tired of it? In some ways. It's more so that I'm getting tired of them coming out, buddying up with the guest star, and making matches at the beginning of each and every Raw, as opposed to "I'm tired of HBK and HHH being DX". But there's no need for one of them to turn heel on the other one right now, ESPECIALLY when it comes to WrestleMania. They've got too many potential matches for WM that they don't need to throw a spot on the card away for another HHH/HBK match. Then you have to factor that when HBK retires within the next few years, he'll want to have a huge match with HHH - same for Taker and Kane, which a lot of people are trying to predict will happen at WM26 as well (and, again, "they do the same thing over and over, but I hope they have two "brothers/friends against each other" angles at the same ppv"? c'mon). If they do Taker/Kane and-or HHH/HBK at Mania this year, who the hell is going to be excited about it in 2-3 years when Taker and HBK retire and do the same thing?
I think it's much more likely that we'll see DX in a tag team match for the unified titles at WrestleMania or that HHH and HBK will have separate matches on the card, with people they want to feud with separately. Word is that they really like Swagger, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they had Swagger get a title shot at the Royal Rumble against Cena (as he's being given test shots at house shows right now) and then start a feud with HHH or HBK for WrestleMania based off the Elimination Chamber. HBK, I still have a feeling he's going to have a match with Punk, but of course that's impossible to predict right now. I don't think they're planning on doing HHH/HBK at WrestleMania, nor do I think either one of them is turning heel because of the Survivor Series match. It's being teased way too much and they just did it with Batista at Bragging Rights...if they were to repeat it, it'd be such a groan moment.
