the triple h/hbk thing has been done while it was entertaining 6 years ago it wont be now really. while i like these 2 guys especially hbk a feud wont be so good, i think that they should help the tag division out and wrestle 4 those belts come wrestlemania, sorry people a dx split and feud wont happen, vince makes money from them, and just 2 spice things up abit hornswoogle to join dx and or xpac if he would come back

i like to think that WWE know that HHH vs HBK has been done to death and so this won't happen, i mean so what that they're fighting in a triple threat match and its highly likely they'll have to fight each other, i'd prefer to see that it doesn't affect their friendship at all, not everyone has to be bitter and jealous in this industry do they? So no, i'd prefer if they didn't turn on each other, i'd prefer if they found new respect for Cena and made him part of the faction if im honest or something along those lines. But that's unlikely to happen to.

Actually, there are no recent losses to Khali. Kane just beat him back to back PPV's a few months ago and then took him out with an injury angle. As a matter of fact, Kane has lost only 2 matches since returning at the Bash, and they were to Chris Jericho and Batista. And he's somehow won at 4 straight PPV's on top of that, what have you been watching?

I watch smackdown, the show that you can see the wrestlers gain and shift momentum, and from watching his fued with khali you could just see his sloppy work and he's just not relevent or good anymore. Whatever it is ever since taking off the mask he has lost any momentuem. If they have him leave and then return with an angle and hopefully he can get in better shape then maybe they can do something, but continuing like this would end up in a very sloppy mania match that we've all seen before. The end of 2008 he was jobbing to Rey Mysterio...enough said.

[Kane may have won the last few pay per views but that doesn't make up for 2008 where he was jobbing year round, he only won 2 of his 7 ppv matches and those were against Chavo:S]

The problem with WWE is that they have run out of 'huge matches' that they can put on at Wrestlemania. The only 2 one on one 'huge matches' they can have at Wrestlemania that they have not already had at a Wrestlemania are HHH v HBK and Undertaker v Cena. That's it. So i guarantee they will have one or both of these matches at Wrestlemania. That's why i was so looking forward to Hogan v Cena last year. It was another potential big match that would have been astronomical for the industry, the event and the history of wrestling. Hogan v Cena is the biggest match with the exception of Hogan v Austin that we could see in wrestling that has never happened.

Okay now i may be wrong about this but im guessing that Taker-Jericho isn't going to happen at mania. They had a great match on SD this past week with taker winning clean by submission. Like i said i may be wrong about this but i dont see Vinnie Mac giving us this match on free tv if it was going to be on the mania card this year.

So what i expect to see is a Taker-Superman (oh i mean Cena) match at mania, which i would not mind seeing. These 2 put on some great matches several years back when Cena was still the "thug-Rapper guy"

But what about Y2J? who do you expect or want him to face at Mania? I would love to see him face a returning Edge for the WHC but recent reports are leaning towards that not being a possibility. So Jericho will most likely not be in the main event, i wish he would be, but the past few years should be evidence enough that it is prolly not going to happen.

So a match i would like to see is Jericho vs Dolph Ziggler for the IC title! How great would this match be? and it would definitely boost Ziggler win or lose because Jericho makes everyone look like gold in the ring, and since Ziggler already looks like gold this match would be awesome! They can have Jericho win his 10th IC title sometime around the rumble, turn Ziggler face somehow (which could improve his lacking character) and have him challenge Jericho for the title at EC but before the match starts Jericho comes from behind with a chair and beats Ziggler with it then leaves, the match never officially starts. Then we could get lots of great promos heading into mania, and a possible show stealer on the grandest stage of them all!

what do you guys think? would you want to see this match? whats a match you would like to see Y2J involved in at mania?

Turning Ziggler face will be a career killer. Ziggler is heelish. He's cocky, arrogant, brash and in your face mean, ZIggler is meant to be an entertaining heel. Reminds me of a very young HBK.

Now, Ziggler vs Jericho is a dream match of mine. Clearly Ziggy is the future and Jericho, as you said, can put him over big time win or lose.

As far as what Jericho could do at Mania... Um... Perhaps feud with Christian? We've seen these two and they put on some quality shows. Of course, it'd be awesome if Y2J was a face and Christian was heel. Either way it will still be great.

I would also like to see Triple H vs Jericho in some long Storyline.

Truth be told, give Jericho a paper bag and he'll steal the show at Mania. I saw a sign a few months ago that describes Jericho's matches in the best possible way...

" OH MY GOD IT'S JERICHO VERSUS...OH WHO CARES IT'S JERICHO!! "

I can see it being edge vs jericho and would love to see it because of how the story line started with edge injured, and how it will end. Great match. But edge dont look like he'll be there so i think jericho vs big show. Jericho's ego is getting too big and getting to big show,so i think, with these two big performers it could be a wrestlemania26 match to stand out

I hear Edge wont be able to recover in time for WM.

With Kane helping Undertaker and DX still being strong as a unit I think we are going to have a Brothers of Destruction vs. DX Unified tag team match at WM26. I guess the angle here would be if DX will be the one to end The Undertaker's streak.

As for Jericho, yeah giving away Jericho vs. Undertaker on free TV indicates that it wont be one of the matches at Wrestlemania. I think we are going to have Jerishow implode and have Jericho vs. Big Show at Wrestlemania with some special stipulation. I say if this happens, Jericho goes over here which would be the first big WM win for Jericho since the Big Show was very high on the last two WM Cards.

This sets up Jericho looking strong which could setup a long term feud with Undertaker during the Summer.

Well since right about now, the buildup to Wrestlemania starts it's baby steps, I think that a Betrayal storyline between Jericho and the Big Show would be okay for wrestlemania, yet again betrayal storylines are so overdone in the WWE but that seems to be the generality of all storylines.

Jericho should be put in the Royal rumble and be the winner of the rumble and go to wrestlemania to face Who ever may be champion in RAW at Wrestlemania 26. It would be refreshing to see Jericho in the main event at wrestlemania and winning a World Title. That hasn't been done in a long time.

While it would be awesome for Edge to return at Mania, it looks to not be happenin. Jericho I feel really shines working with guys more ar less like himself. Ziggler would be good. A match with Morrison would be great. Unless the build-up impressed I'm not so keen on seeing him vs Big Show at Mania. I'd still like to see it, just not at Mania. Maybe keep JeriShow together and break up at Mania. You can then have this match at Backlash.

I dunno how it would work setting it up, but Jericho Punk could be an interesting combo for wrestlemania.

You never know though Jerishow could possibly be still together at mania, although i think that would be the end. Maybe those two could break and fight at mania on who should keep the belts, both getting new mystery partners, setting up a tag-team role for one of them, prob show, leaving the other for singles action.

It all depends on other storylines but Jerishow vs DX could happen.

Personally id like to see Jericho win the rumble maybe eliminating Show or HBK last and then choosing to face Taker at Mania because of his ego truly thinking he could be the man to end the streak and take the title. Maybe he could become paranoid or something and belive its the streak that gives Taker his powers and that and he could become absoubtly determined to end it once and for all.

I wouldnt really want to see Jericho vs Big Show but thats another likley candidate. Maybe winning the Rumble and going to face Cena on Raw?

Maybe if Edge is back he can enter MITB and win and then cash it in straight after Jericho has beaten Cena and wins the belt setting up a feud between those two.

Or to piss pretty much everyone off put Y2J in Money in the Bank have him win. And then after Taker has retained the title in a hard thought war Jericho comes down, technically ends the streak and wins the title.

They got alot of options with this guy at Mania. Lets hope they dont screw things up!

Edge vs Jericho is the dream match, no doubt. But I just can't see it happening with Edge's injury taking alot longer to heal than most people think. And when Edge returns, I doubt they'll leave his feud with Jericho until Mania 27, either.

Assuming Jericho stays a heel, there's not that many options.
CM Punk will be staying heel too, so that's not gonna happen. Same with Ziggler and Batista. If Undertaker is, in fact, going after the WWE title, then that might leave open the World title match available for Jericho. But I can't see who he'd be facing there. John Morrison is nowhere near ready to headline Wrestlemania. Jericho vs Mysterio has already been done enough. So I can't think of anyone else he could be facing.
But here's a thought. Who is the hottest face midcarder at the moment who needs a rub from a veteran? Why, Kofi Kingston, of course.
There's no way Kingston's feud with Orton will keep going until Mania, especially if Dibiase is turning face to feud with Orton for Mania. So Kofi could be wide open, assuming he's above fighting for the Us title and MitB by Wrestlmania.
So I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Kingston vs Jericho at Wrestlemania. Probably not for the World title, I dunno. But going over Jericho at Mania will be Kingston's last step to becoming a main eventer. So I'm not only calling for it, I'm hoping for chris Jericho vs Kofi Kingston and Wrestlemania 26.

At the end of Raw last week, Undertaker and his partner John Cena won the triple threat tag team main event. To celebrate his victory, Undertaker gave John Cena a tombstone piledriver.

The main site reported that this was to plant the seeds for a Cena/Taker match at Wrestlemania.

What does everyone think about this?. I think that cena/taker match will be sweet. Ive been wanting these two to fued for awhile now and this could be pretty sweet, especially because Cena will be the clear heel and might actually do something that the current cena we all know and love (or hate) might not normally do.

Your thoughts?

I want Cena/Taker at Wrestlemania. It's been a few years since I felt like Taker's streak was in jeopardy, and a match against Cena would have me wondering if this would be it. It'd actually be a match that'd have me at the edge of my seat. These two haven't had a feud together since Cena was in his rap gimmick, it'd feel fresh to me. If this is true, I'd be very satisified.

This is going to be pretty awesome for me. Ever since I grew to love the feel that Cena brings to big matches against established main eventers, a match with Undertaker at Wrestlemania has been a dream match for me. Sure, we've seen these guys fight when Taker was a biker and Cena was a midcarder. But this is so much bigger than that now. The two biggest faces in the WWE, one-on-one at the biggest show of the year. The streak, one of kayfabe's last holds on the wrestling audience, is on the line against a who brings more emotion to a main event match than anyone else this decade. I've been waiting for this since before WM23 and it should be a great atmosphere in the desert.

Aside from Umaga, Cena is the last guy who I want to see Taker fight in a big match. They gave us big matches with him against Punk and Jericho too soon, so this is all that's really left. I hope they don't let us down.

As for a winner... obvious money says Taker, but if they ever wanted Cena as a heel... this could do it. People buy into the streak as the end all be all of Taker's legacy or something like that. Honestly, streaks are meant to be broken and wrestlers are meant to go out on their back. Cena could really light a fire in the WWE product by beating Taker or attacking him after the match and deciding that enough is enough (of the fans booing a good guy like him while cheering a guy who attacks men without provocation and gets away with everything he's ever done)... and he's totally earned such a distinction. The biggest star in wrestling ending the streak would rock. Hard.

Of course I'm day-dreaming here.

For those who say the streak should go to an up-and-comer... Yeah, that would have worked great if Lashley, Angle, or Lesnar got it. The streak should go to someone who's in WWE for the long haul and is proven money.

Here's to John Cena! Can't wait!

If this match is to actually happen, I would be quite excited. Hopefully it would not involve a championship though, as we all know with Undertaker he would automatically win. If a championship were not involved in the match, it would at least give the feeling that Cena might win the match. A match against Cena would be one of the only times other then last year that Taker's streak might actually be in jeopardy, or at least feel like it is.

If this match were to happen though, Cena would obviously not necessarily turn heel, so much as just be the one that doesn't get cheered in the match. I believe that Undertaker could face Cena with both being faces. I have a feeling that people are going to start up more rants about a Cena heel turn now, too. I have to say this now, and maybe people will catch it, JUST BECAUSE CENA WOULD BE THE CLEAR HEEL DOESN'T MEAN HIS WILL ACTUALLY BE HEEL .

Either way, if this is how things are shaping up, I am looking forward to what this could turn out to be. As soon as I saw that piledriver, I knew they were possibly laying the groundwork for Wrestlemania.

EDIT : After seeing Coco's post, I must say I agree with him. The two top faces of the company going one on one would be a match of epic preportions. If the streak should end, as Coco said, it should go to Cena, someone who is quite established and is in WWE for the longhaul. Also it could really change the face of WWE as we know it if Cena were to not only really go heel , but do so against the Undertaker at the grandest stage of them all.

I think if this match is going to happen at wrestlemania. Then it could be a good to great match.Almost all the people that Undertaker has faced it was a predictable outcome other then a few guys.

This match could go either way and I'm glad that they are building and planting seeds for it already. But I want to see this feud going longer and not just end at wrestlemania you know maybe end at Summerslam or extreme rules if it is actually happening.

If this match is to actually happen, I would be quite excited. Hopefully it would not involve a championship though, as we all know with Undertaker he would automatically win.
What the fuck are you on about? Champions have retained titles quite routinely at Mania in recent years, Cena having done it twice. He's also won the belt at Mania twice. Cena has just as much of a chance in a championship match as Taker.

If anything, it's the streak that throws things in Taker's favor. Championships being involved in this match indicate nothing.

If a championship were not involved in the match, it would at least give the feeling that Cena might win the match.
What I just said. See above.

A match against Cena would be one of the only times other then last year that Taker's streak might actually be in jeopardy, or at least feel like it is.
You thought Michaels had a chance? Come on... The build was good, but Michaels is too old and not willing enough to heel it up to really run with the rub. It was meant to be that Mania classic, and it delivered/everyone's self-fulfilling prophecy of an epic match came true.

Cena is the first real contender to take the streak since Orton. Henry never had a chance, Edge winning something that big goes against the picture his short title reigns have painted about his place in the company, and WM23 was just Taker's time.

Cena is a real contender.

If this match were to happen though, Cena would obviously not necessarily turn heel, so much as just be the one that doesn't get cheered in the match.
Duh. Doesn't mean considering the chance isn't worth it this time. Over the last few years, the discussion has been had so much that it sort of devalues what we have here.

Cena vs. Kayfabe's Last Stand in The Streak

People will shit bricks if Cena chokes Taker out and makes it 17-1.

The heel discussion is more worth having now than ever. The logistics of new top faces are sketchy, but we'll cross that bridge later. Orton is mega over in some circles and could turn, Edge will likely come back as a face, we'll always have at least one DX member as a face... Surely this could work if the company wanted to take a chance.

Don't let the fact that the heel turn discussion is over-done blind you to how important the discussion is right now.

JUST BECAUSE CENA WOULD BE THE CLEAR HEEL DOESN'T MEAN HIS WILL ACTUALLY BE HEEL .
If he wins, it better damn well be. The streak ending marking the biggest heel turn of the 2010s and ringing in the new decade in style... Why else would the streak end? For Cena to continue with business as usual? Pfft. Puh-lease.

If Cena's a real contender, we need to talk heel turn.

I hope not they both can't wrestle at all. I see Taker's streak broken at Wrestlemania. For Cena do not care what happens to him maybe he can make a team with somebody who needs a push maybe Ted Dibiase Jr. since Dibiase is being in The MARINE II and Cena was in The MARINE

They can be called THE MARINES

Taker vs. Cena will be a great match just because of how electricfied the crowd would be. Cena heel turn I reallt doubt, for some reason I feel that the Undertaker might turn heel (even if he gets cheered more). Undertaker attack Cena after the tag-match unprovoked so Taker is "in the wrong". These two haven't gone one-on-one since 2004 on Smackdown to my knowledge and at that time Taker was a tweener and Cena a babyface. If Cena's the poster boy then no way he will be a heel for a long while, and if so who's gonna take the top face position on Raw?

Cena vs Taker at wrestlemania would be huge, but how would they set it up? They are on different brands and both have recently won the Royal Rumble. I don't see the WWE going the route they did this year and have Cena just call out the Undertaker like Michaels did. And if this match were to happen, it would have to be the main event, and thus for the title. Making this a nontitle match would lose a lot of the potential build for the match. It would turn into a Rock-Hogan type match, which would, in my opinion, make Undertaker look weak (relative to where he is now). Taker should look strong and like he is still the top dog, so such a match would have to be for the title. And if his streak were to ever end, it would have to be against Cena. Like someone said, if Taker looses to an up and comer who turns out to be a bust, than 20 years of build would have gone for not.

OK, CM Punk won the MITB this year, and he went on to a terrific run until Taker came back and totally killed him because of some stupid comment he made over the way he dresses. But around the time he won MITB, I was also hearing that kofi should've won it. Looking back then, I'd say "Hell, no!". But ever since then, he has been on a roll, defending the U.S. title a bunch of times, and now feuding with orton.

So my question is "Should Kofi have won it since he's higher up in rank than CM Punk currently is? Or was it okay for CM Punk to win it twice?"

Also who should win it next year? By looking at the current roster, I'd say either Jomo or Kofi. I'm sure, at this rate, Punk will be in his 4th MITB for no damn reason.

I would like to see this match at wrestlemania. I think like many have stated that the streak would be in jeopardy. Last year everybody knew taker would win but the match wasn't about winning, it was about two legends stealing the show. I hope neither man has a title cause then it feels like 3 title matches with the streak being the third title match. They should let Taker win cause the streak should never die and Cena certainly doesn't need any more superman like achievements.

Cena/Taker is doable as a feud. They would not need to make Cena heel to pull it off. It worked with HBK great when both went in as face personalities. Cena and Undertaker had a few matches a while ago back when Cena was the DR. of thuganomics and Taker was The American Badass, but now that Cenas a lot further in his career and has earned a lot more respect as a competitor this would be a good match to see. It would be best off if one or both of them were not champions, a title doesn't need to be on the line for this. If it does end up happening Cena won't beat Taker is my prediction, he's not going to be the man to beat the streak.

Both of the men are known for big entrances at Wrestlemania so that'll be fun to see as well.
