The Winter Soldier
I decided I'd pick Sin Cara after how he made the ref stop his match. He has not won a Championship and was close to the Tag titles when he and Mysterio teamed up. I think he doesn't have much farther to go in the E. What's your choice? Push him to anything or keep him where he is? Theres not much to write since he basically jobs now. He had a winning streak but it was ended by Christian. So push or no?

It would be up until this day that I normally would have said yes to this.

Yes, push Sin Cara because he is a unique character with unique offense in the ring.

But now, I can no longer believe that.

I just feel bad for the guy how unlucky he has been with injuries and I think it's best for everyone if he just finds another place to wrestle/work.

There is ton of guys in NXT or on the main roster that could be re-packaged to quite successfully take his spot as that mid-card 'energy, high flyer' guy.

Guys like Tyson Kidd and Evan Bourne (when they come back) deserve another fair chance and are much more adapted to the WWE style of wrestling.

As far as masked competitors go... well Rey Mysterio might be back in the next month or so and he's always good for a pop. He may only have a year or so left in his tank but, like I said, many guys in NXT are/will be ready to move up and perhaps done a mask to take that spot.

Maybe they can bring up Sami Zayn with a mask or perhaps the El Matadors will somehow REALLY catch on and one or both of them will be the fan-favorite masked competitors.

Bottom Line: Time for Sin Cara to be cut loose in WWE.

... That said, it still boggles my mind that JTG, Ezekiel Jackson and Mason Ryan haven't been let loose yet!

I don't usually comment back but i want to say that I have heard Mason Ryan is doing really good in NXT. I think he and Ezekiel Jackson could be a dominant tag team. Anyway thanks for the feedback

Sin Cara is USELESS. I've said it since day one and it looks like people are finally starting to see it. He can't work a match and is constantly injured. He never should have been hired in the first place, he isn't worth one twentieth of whatever WWE pays him.

SIn Cara i agree is absolutely useless, he serves only one purpose and thats to fill the Rey Mysterio style void, he can't talk he botches often and gets bugger all reaction cause he loses more often then not.

He must be the only brittle-bone Mexican wrestler and Trips found him

the sooner he gets a berth at the Spanish announce table the better

his future is not in wrestling against folks over Hornswoggles weight

I was there live at RAW last night. Sin Cara came out to a mild reaction at best (when it was a Hispanic dominant audience that was even cheering Del Rio), did 2 decent moves that could be done by any number of guys in the back & then got injured, for what? the 5th or 6th time since he has been with the company?? Not to mention he has also been suspended once already & has done basically nothing with what he has been given since coming to the WWE.

& If WWE really wants to keep the Sin Cara character, they have Hunico, who speaks english & seems a lot more reliable.

It was originally reported at F4WOnline.com and later by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that Sin Cara h as gotten major backstage heat following Raw for immediately quitting his match against Del Rio. As of right now, it's being said that he dislocated a finger and will undergo x-rays to make sure there isn't a fracture.

I'm not trying to judge Sin Cara harshly or anything, I've never had a dislocated finger so I don't know how painful it really is. However, if I'm not mistaken, Antonio Cesaro worked for quite a significant length of time with a couple of the fingers on one of his hands either dislocated, broken or had something torn. It was one of the three, I remember that much as they mentioned it numerous times and showed that it looked like the third & pinky fingers of his right hand were taped together. My point is that Cesaro showed a real degree of toughness by working through the injury and that's something that no doubt impresses both management and the other talent backstage.

As for Sin Cara himself, I think it's time to future endeavor the guy. There was a massive amount of hype about Sin Cara signing to WWE, given his star power as Mistico down in Mexico but, frankly, he hasn't lived up to that hype whatsoever. I just can't say I've been particularly impressed by the guy. He's athletic and he has some nice looking high spots, when he's not botching them, but that's all he's got.

I think it was during his WWF title victory over Ric Flair, Bret Hart dislocated a finger. He didn't sell it, he didn't tell anyone, just popped it back in without much of a fuss. We've seen Orton complete a match with a dislocated shoulder and we've seen Triple H taking the Walls of Jericho with a torn damn Quad. If Sin Cara can't keep a match going with two dislocated fingers, that's kind of pathetic in comparison. It doesn't have to be a good match, it just hast to have some kind of ending. Get kicked in the head and let Del Rio pin you or whatever.

But no, he is so far passed a lost cause. Maybe he is an icon or whatever in Mexico, but Lucha is so different from WWE. Who knows if Sin Cara would've done better had he gone to FCW or NXT first. Although, judging by reports, he would've had a bad attitude about being sent to developmental, even though wrestlers far more talented than him have been sent down there. He's not worth the time, and I don't know what he's getting paid, but I'm guessing he's not worth the money either. He might've been huge had the stars aligned, but his chance has long gone.

I think I would keep him on the roster but not on Raw or PPV (other than the Royal Rumble). Sin Cara should work on Main Event, Saturday morning Slam and Superstars, basically the lesser shows. If he does well then give him a match on Smackdown whether it is to job or just as a filler - at least they can edit out his mistakes.

He has had an awful record with regards to making mistakes but I think he is liked by the younger demographic and that alone is worth keeping him on the roster. I don't like the fact that he doesn't speak other. I know that is part of his gimmick but in modern-day wrestling I think it is outdated and he would have to be exceptional in the ring but he isn't.

I was going to say: "Sure, push him.....right out the door" but in addition to my aversion to fans deciding that certain performers should lose their jobs, there's also the factor that a function can be found for just about any competent wrestler, if the company cares to find one.

Sin Cara offers a diversion; an alternative to the normal catch-as-catch-can spectacle of pro wrestling. In the ring, he doesn't do what everyone else does, that's for sure. A lot of what Sin Cara does requires timing.....but not on his part as much as his opponents'. They have to rush to position to make Sin Cara's flying offensive moves look effective. If they mess up, they catch the wrath of Vince McMahon, as Chavo Guerrero can attest. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that other wrestlers hate to get in the ring with him because all the pressure is on them.

Plus, Sin Cara isn't going to capture an audience with his mic work, is he?

I can't see the company getting solidly behind him because of the above factors, but as a change of pace on a wrestling card, it might be feasible to keep him around as a jobber. Those fans who thrill to his leaps off the top rope can still enjoy him, if that's their pleasure, but the question in this topic is whether to push him.....and I say no.

I clearly am in the minority here. I'd push him, although even I do not want to see him in the World Championship tier for an extended period of time. I'll go with an in between option not listed on the poll and say that I'd give him a World/WWE Championship title shot that he would ultimately lose, later down the line if he can prove himself. For now he'd make an ok Intercontinental Champion if he doesn't injure himself during the reign. Sin Cara brings variety to the table, so he can still be an asset to the WWE. Sin Cara may be less experienced than Rey and apparently is very injury prone, but I enjoy his luchador style in his matches. I won't miss him all too much if he gets future endeavoured though is what it comes down to. They can give the special lighting to anyone on the roster and there's plenty of other high flyers. I like him, just not enough for THAT big of a push.
