Would this be a better match?

BrutalBarrett

Occasional Pre-Show
It's very clear that Randy Orton doesn't only have beef with Rollins, but of the whole of Authority.

Last night on RAW we had Orton and Sting fending off the Authority.

I was thinking to myself what if..WWE merged two of the confirmed matches at WM together into one match and have Orton and Sting take on HHH and Rollins.

That way the match could last a little longer as I suspect with the number of matches Orton v Rollins wouldn't last much longer than 10-15 minutes. Plus HHH wouldn't have to carry Sting single handedly in the match as I expect he won't be the same man he was in WCW for obvious reasons..

So is that a match you would like to see rather than two singles matches or would you rather it stayed as it is?

Water down Sting's first ever WWE match by making it a tag team match? Yeah I'm pretty sure you got my answer from that question alone.

If not...

Are you serious? :wtf:

While Sting obviously isn't in the form of his old WCW days, if you ever watched TNA, you'd know he can still have very passable matches. That other guy in the ring, HHH, he's been known to have the occasional good one as well. Even with bad opponents.

Nope! Sting in his first ever match at Wrestlemania has to go single. Besides, I don't think Sting needs carrying as much as people are trying to make it. Plus, the in ring action would be more about storytelling by Sting and Triple H instead of dangerous spots.

On the other hand, Orton and Seth Rollins can absolutely have a great match. They do not need to be in a tag match. Let them sort it out in the ring, one on one.

To answer your question, no that would be a better idea. It's been said before but why would you want to water down Sting's first WWE match into a throw away tag team match? For one thing, there is more than enough time for both of these matches to get 20 minutes plus. And what's more, these four are amongst the best in the company; I, for one, am looking forward to seeing them have their own matches. I want to see them at their very best, not tagging in an out frequently.

These matches are going to be amongst the best on the card, I really wouldn't want to see them merged into one. It was a nice moment seeing Orton with Sting at Raw but that's where it should end. Two singles matches between these 4 ate going to be a Hell of a lot better than one tag match.

If it was any other event and if it wasn't Sting's first match, I'd be perfectly fine with a tag match featuring Sting & Orton vs. Triple H & Rollins.

However, as has been pointed out, Sting's very first match in WWE after being in the wrestling business for over 30 years should not be a tag team match. WWE is counting on the novelty that this is Sting's very, very first wrestling match in WWE to help draw so, frankly, the notion of Sting vs. Triple H sounds more appealing than Sting & Orton vs. Triple H & Rollins, at least to me. Sorry to parrot the same opinion as others, but when it's right, then it's right.
