Would the 1972 Dolphins...

be disappointed if the next time to get an undefeated season was the Dolphins? There legacy as the only undefeated team will be over, but the new undefeated team is the one they put their hearts into all together?

I think they wouldn't mind at all, and would be proud of the current Dolphins to take control of that title.

I like this question and never thought about it before.

I think most of those guys would say if anyone was going to do it, they are glad it is another Dolphins team. However on the inside they would be disappointed in losing what makes them most relevant and unique to the history of the NFL. They've already lost a little relevance thanks to the '07 Pats.

Mega - no one thinks this current Dolphins team has a chance of going undefeated but as much as I hate the Dolphins there is no reason they can't be the next team to go undefeated.

Haha, yeah Megatron I never said that the current Dolphins are doing it, I said the current Dolphins when they would do it (which may be never)...but you really never know what will happen. If they had a Quarterback I'd say that they could surprise everyone and break out, but with Chad Henne I can't see that happening.

With the best QB in the league I can't see that happening, but by current I really meant from 2011-

No weeks were added. It's still a topic they will discuss in the future but there was no change made.

If the Dolphins were the next team to go undefeated, then I don't think any member of the '72 Dolphins would care, mainly because I imagine by the time the 'Phins finally get their shit together & put together a team capable of going undefeated/winning a SB all the members of that '72 Dolphins team would likely be dead.

I came up with the idea, because I'm doing a franchise with the Miami Dolphins in Madden 12, and currently I'm 14-0. Usually when I go undefeated I always picture the '72 Dolphins sitting at a round table...champagne is sitting on the table with empty glasses...and they're all sitting with their heads down in shame.

Of course now it's a different story.
