A few things I don't understand. Everyone says Edge is basically done and needs to retire but then say that Christian needs to be a Main Eventer. I like Christian. I actually like them both. But If and when Christian becoms a Main Eventer, how much time does he really have? I wouldn't count him as a long term answer to Jericho, Taker, Edge etc leaving. Same with Matt Hardy (if he even has a job next week), although the Hardy's I think are a little younger.
I will be very very sad to see Jericho go. I just need one more Y2J run before he leaves though and I may be a little happier. I was HOPING that was going to happen with his elimination from the 6 pack.
But Taker is a given. Even if he doesn't RETIRE, he won't be a major player for much longer, probably not after wrestlemania. (btw, why does John Cena need any extra push by being the one to possibly end Taker's streak? really? Cena? Doesn't feel right at all.)
I think Edge has a little more left in him, I just think they once again need to revamp his gimmick. Why is there a "Rated-R Superstar" in the PG-era? His gimmick allows him to do NOTHING in this era. Revamp it, start over, i guarantee he has more in him.
HHH still has stuff left in him. He can do whatever they need, face, heel. Doesn't matter, he's got it all and always has. Only a devastating injury will take him down (which is more possible with him every year though, i'll admit)
Kane is gone soon, I agree with whoever said this current story is a "thank you" story to Kane. Mysterio is gone soon too. This knee injury he won't get fixed will be his downfall. He's afraid to get it fixed that it might end his career, but eventually without the surgery it'll end his career anyway. He had a good one, but its almost over, if not already.
They DO have some young up and coming talent, but I gotta admit, its not all solid. John Morrison, we all agree his in ring ablility is great. But he's just not getting past this pre-U.S. title stage. Daniel Bryan will be great, possibly the future Jericho. The Miz is great already. Wade Barret is amazing, but we all know at least half of the nexus will either fizzle out or be stuck in the Matt Hardy/Christian level AT BEST their whole careers. I'm looking at you Heath Slater and David Otunga. Justin Gabriel is here to stay, and Sheffield will PROBABLY be around a while, but I personally feel he has as much to offer as A-Train besides the back hair. But I didn't really watch NXT and he hasn't done much in Nexus, so I haven't seen much of his ability either. I think Tarver is un-likable. Not in the I don't like HHH cuz he's a heel way, I just think he is un-likable. So these next few years will be very interesting seeing who will stay and go, who is good and not. And who we're gonna love, or love to hate.
