Worst Gimick Ever!!!!!!!!

Dude every single one of those have been mentioned except for mark henry and the spirit squad

Right, but John Cena was mentioned BEFORE them, which is the point I was making. It's like they weren't even considered when people were lambasting Cena. I mean, sure, not everyone can get behind the "white boy rapper" persona, but c'mon... How is that anything CLOSE to as bad as about a third of WWF's 80s roster?

What about William Regal as the "Man's man"

LMAO remember that music?
Good call..you beat me to it. The flannel shirt and hard hat.

He's a man, such a man
He's a real, real man's man

LMFAO

Gillberg was an 6' 220 lbs Goldberg-look-a-like. I think he was made to make Golberg pissed off. They looked very similar.

I thought Gillberg was hilarious myself. Obviously, it wasn't meant to be taken seriously like Isaac Yankem was so I really don't consider Gillberg to have been a failure. In fact, I think Duane did a good job!

Come on, Gillberg was a spoof character. Kind of like what the Oklahoma character in WCW was to Jim Ross, or what the BWO was to the NWO. They were all quite humorous.

TL Hopper, Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz, Dr. Isaac Yankem, and a slew of others from the mid '90s - all of them were actually taken seriously upon their arrival. At least the ones above were in on the joke.

The Eugene ****** thing it getting a bit old!!! And Vito's thing is a bit stupid!!! Like he would wear a dress!!! WWE are going more for entertaining than wrestling these days and I do not like it one bit!

it all went down for Cena when he stopped wearing the chain and bustin dem freestyles

I think Cena started to lose is edgyness when the FCC started cracking down on stuff after the super bowl thing!! I think they r doing a good job with Cena's Character, They don't really focus on him being a rapper anyways, haven't since is bit with Jericho. Not quite sure why most "hate" Cena Makes no sense to me at all!!!

OMG, how about the one legged wrestler, can't remember his name. He moved pretty good til HHH got his hands on him. Remember how his body folded when he was being thrown around the ring. I still cringe when I think about it. Another bad gimmick...How about a wrestler who weighs a buck 70 winning the title and retaining it against guy almost three times his size. I'll probably get the 619 for that one. And I understand why it is being done. But, at this point, it should end.

The one-legged wrestler was Zach Gowen. He was pretty amazing when you think about it. Sometime he would wrestle with a prosthesis but he usually wrestled without it for the shock value. I know he wrestled for a bit in TNA, but I'm not sure what he's up to these days.

As far as Rey Mysterio defeating or retaining the title against larger guys - Brother Runt/Spike Dudley was known as "The Giant Killer" in ECW and he routinely surprised larger wrestlers in many matches. Anyway, Rey as the champ is a nice change of pace from the usual 6'6", 300 pound champion that we usually have. I don't think he'll be carrying the belt much longer, though.

I'm not denying he was amazing, and there was alot of shock value(which VM is famous for). I just think it was a bad storyline and very disturbing to alot of viewers. Which is why it didn't last very long. But hey, the guy got his 15 minutes. So more power to him. I will say this, there have been tons of bad gimmicks, but it doesn't stop me from watching. As far as Rey and the title goes, I agree it won't last much longer. And once again, just a guy living the dream.

The whole thing with Brock Lesnar in particular was disturbing - I'm not sure if you remember that. I think that may be how they wrote Zach Gowen off. Probably the fact that watching him take a bump really made you wince is the reason why he didn't last too long.

i personally thought it was pretty impressive seeing brock break his one good leg, i mean c'mon he f5'd him into the ring post, that's pretty extreme

I have seen that match on myspace when Lesnar kills Gowen in the ring.:raven:

yeah man, i miss brock he was my favorite when he was around, i just wish he wasn't such a dumbass as far as the whole football thing

He IS my favorite, even tho i don't like him that much in NJPW. He should have stay in WWE yes. He SHOULD come back as an face and face Batista where Batista is heel.

OMG that would be so awesome, i've been wanting it to happen so bad, but i know itz not especially after the whole lawsuit thing with wwe
