Super Crazy
CABS ARE HEEEERREEE!!
So here's the backstory to this situation. After Christmas every year, they only need someone for my position at night, but it's more so because the budget is always tight after Christmas and they cut back hours drastically. Now, my dad and stepmom drove me in to work and home from work for the better part of 5 months this past year, going from January to almost June. They also did it two years in a row before that when my step brother had the same position before he quit.
Now, I told them this year, I could not do that at all, and I explained to them why, and they told me to apply for one of the full time positions they posted, as it would give me mostly day shifts and thus, no need for extra drives. So I applied for it about 3 weeks ago, and have been waiting to hear back since then.
Today the assistant manager calls me into her office, and starts talking to me about how I supposedly said I could do some nights and whatever, and she didn't seem to understand that I can't at all, and from the sounds of what she had worked out for me, I'm only going to be working weekends after Christmas, which is total bullshit. So after all that discussion I said " Does this mean I'm not getting the position I applied for? "
She responded with " Oh, about that, the budget is even shorter then we thought, so we can't give anyone that position and we had to drop it. " Now, this totally came off as a lie, and the reason being, only one other person applied for the position, and they are in need of having a full time position for something outside of work, some kind of loan or other. Now, if she had told him the position was unavailable, he'd be out that door in a minute, and he still seemed to be in a good mood all day.
So I have a feeling she lied to me, and if, and when I find out what is really going on, I am going to flip shit. If worked has screwed with me, it's hopefully for the last time, because I will walk right out that door if I am there and find out.
