The 1-2-3 Killam
Mid-Card Championship Winner
First off, I see this happen a lot with newer posters, so before it does again I just want to say, I hope you stick around. A lot of people come in, make a thread for the first time, or make one that gets popular for the first time, and get discouraged/frustrated with the criticism they receive for it. The idea of a forum is to discuss things. Sometimes that means you have to have the unpopular opinion, and come out swinging. It doesn't mean people hate you and you should leave forever.
Never mind that Triple H is still legitimately the COO of the company. Never mind that he could, in reality and in story, do whatever the hell he wanted. Triple H has power in this angle, because he has power IRL and everyone knows it. THE WHOLE STORY WITH TRIPLE H IS THAT BIG SHOW IS FINDING WAYS TO SPITE HIM, AND HE HASN"T BEEN ABLE TO STOP HIM. That needs to happen more than once, more than twice, or it's just...oh look, Big show did something that one time. Not a very compelling story, is it?
Daniel Bryan has already defeated Randy Orton cleanly, in a fair fight, on about half a dozen encounters in the past three months. If he doesn't look like a strong compelling babyface challenger, that's on your short term memory, not the WWE's long-term strategy.
The thing is they were killing a ton of birds with a single stone. Big Show needed to remain in the picture. Shawn Michaels needed to be seen, but he can't knock anybody out yet because he's still got to make it Hell in a Cell to be the referee. Bryan isn't going to brawl with Orton while Triple H is in the ring; he'd just get his ass kicked. It was a contract signing, and the odds were very clearly against him with management in the ring. So Big Show caused a distraction, and Bryan leveled him with the knee. Simple enough. The fight where Bryan gets to display heart and fortitude and all that junk comes on Sunday. How the hell did that build up Bryan he surprised a guy a hit 1 move on him. He didn't beat him down like Orton did a few weeks back. He effectively jumped a guy was distracted. If they wanted to build Bryan they should have at least had a Bryan vs Orton fight where Bryans resilience and heart showed where he rallies after Orton gets control of the fight and then drops him with the knee.
I feel like you're trying to make something out of nothing here. He's a 500-pound, 7-foot man, and the most absurd thing about this segment is that Big Show didn't knock into more stuff? You sure it wasn't the fact that he drove a semi-truck into the building in the first place?I will respond to the critics and explain my reasoning
1. It was late and I was tired and missed Show hitting a few things but my point was you shouldn't be able to get in a truck and be a precision driver.
It's not a MASSIVE hole. When reading a mystery novel, they don't murder the victim and leave a note next to the body explaining how the whole thing went down. That would render the plot of the book completely pointless. It's been literally 24 hours since Big Show got in a truck. You think maybe we can wait another 6 days to find out how?2. I expect VKM to be financing Show but until it is proven it is a massive hole in the story and adds the element of confusion.
You're not supposed to be on the heels side. Arguing from the perspective of the side they don't want you to be on is ridiculous. You're automatically looking at everything backwards. Bryan got his ass kicked for the better part of two months. I think the problem here is you have no patience. You need everything to happen at once. You need all the answers, and you need stories to work themselves out immediately. If the heel takes too many losses, suddenly they just don't matter in your eyes.3.HHH is trying to be a ruthless dictator and Show getting the upper hand 3 Raws in a row just makes HHH look powerless and when Bryan was beat up 3 the Raw in a row everyone was like not this again, now its the heels losing out no gives a crap except people like me who are on the heels side.

Why would you have a fair fight six days before a fair fight? Seriously, learn how to wait for things.4. Orton didn't even land a punch on Bryan which makes him look weak and because of the surprise makes its seem like less of an accomplishment for Bryan than if he had beat him in a fair fight
I agree with you. That would have been a more epic way to end the show. Not everything must end in utter chaos though. This PPV doesn't really matter in the grand scheme. They'll crown a new WWE CHampion, and that's huge. But all roads in this story lead to Survivor Series. There's plenty of time for chaos and giant brawls. If it happens now, before a PPV that doesn't really matter, it's going to mean a hell of a lot less in a month, when you'll be saying "oh not this again, they've brawled so much! Just keep it simple!"5-10. Would have all been elements of a brawl, The Shield come out to beat down Bryan with Orton on HHH's orders, maybe Rollins takes a superkick after threatening Michaels, the babyfaces in the back and Show save Bryan, which leads to someone going through the table and it would have been a more epic and finish if Bryan, Show, Rhodes brothers and Uso's are in the ring YES chanting while HHH, Steph, Orton and Shield are making their way up the ramp.
Im not saying the move isn't impressive but we have seen the knee take people out to help him win. I thought what we needed to see was Bryan win in a clean brawl with Orton. When they did the face-to-face before battleground with no help Orton beat down Bryan and put him through an announce table. I think Bryan would have benefited from something like that not just a surprise move
