Why do people follow WWE logic all the time?

In almost any form of comedy, the faces are pretty awful to the heel. Hawkeye and Trapper tormented Frank Burns and Hot Lips on MASH. They were awful to them. But those two were the heels, so we yucked it up with them. Happy Gilmore made fun of Shooter McGavin. Shooter was a jerk, so we enjoyed it.

It goes all the way back to childhood. We pick on people who annoy us, and we're more likely to keep doing it if we get a big reaction from them. DOB delivers great comedy every time he is victimized. VKM does it very well, too. He was a huge part of getting Austin elevated to the level of top two or three "over" guys the company ever had. DOB is helping get AJ and others over because he does a great job of being annoying and having a genuinely funny reaction when he gets punked. It's something that has worked for legends like Bobby Heenan and current guys like Paul Heyman as well.

I do admit that it has been hard to sell Punk as a heel to a large segment of the crowd, because we kind of know the guy's an awesome performer. But if he's not playing the heel to Cena and Rock, he's in danger of slipping down the card. Same is true of DOB. He's getting tons of airtime because he does that heel job very, very well. He wouldn't be getting that kind of airtime and pop if he were a face.

Punk got cheered in his hometown and the WWE trys getting him to be the bad guy. WWE should really use certain crowds to determine a character being face/heel. They did last year with Punk but now he is stating the same things from last year except WWE are treating him like a bad guy. Being a heel helps a person create a character as a face unless your a high flyer which are automatic face. My question was about WWE logic and Punk's stating the same stuff from last year except now the WWE are forcing him to be the bad guy.
