Who Will Take Down Sheamus?

ted jr. is not in randys league. So it wouldn't be believable if he beat randy orton for a main title. Come on people. He's too small, his move-set and music sucks, and he just doesn't have depth to his character or any character at all. If orton beats sheamus which i doubt, then orton just needs to hold it for a while until sheamus climbs that hill called "drawing the crowd in".

Are you saying that anyone ANYONE, believes Sheamus was in Cena's league. My point is that he needs a push, everyone's waiting to see it. If ted beat randy it would prove he is in his league. taking him out at chamber would really solidify his face turn and main event push. I don't see how ted winning wouldn't be believable but Sheamus over Cena is. Even McIntyre hadn't proved himself and he was champ in no time.

It's nothing personell at all i just don't see where you're coming from.

Im from ireland and i have a large group of friends who love the 'e, all of us are extremely happy and proud to have sheamus as wwe champ. who would i like him to lose it to? kofi or ted dibiase, it would be great. it would move these "mid-carders" into the main event and make them legitimate threats.

Sheamus vs. Triple H @ Wrestlemania... for the WWE Title... and Sheamus will retain.

Triple H will eventually "take down" Sheamus for the WWE Championship. But not until after Wrestlemania. WWE needs to give Sheamus a real run. Wrestling fans always complain that we don't ever get to see new stars win world titles. Now that someone fresh is champion, they immediately want the title brought back to the same old wrestlers. Give Sheamus a chance.

Under Sheamus, Raw has done well in the ratings. Sure, Bret Hart and Mike Tyson can be given credit for Raw's recent increase in the ratings. But Sheamus, as champion, also deserves credit. When a show does lousy, the champion should be able to take some of the blame. When a show does well, the champion should likewise be lauded. Sheamus has done his job as champion, and he gets massive heat from the fans. Just look at the Tyson-Sheamus staredown from this past Raw. It was awesome.

Anyway, Triple H will ultimately "take down" Sheamus, but not until after Wrestlemania. I think Triple H and Sheamus will have a great program together, and because of the potential lengthiness of the feud, Sheamus will drop the title as least once to the Game.

I was reading through this thread post by post and I was starting to think that I was the only person in the world who is in support of a Sheamus title run. Now here's a post I can get behind.

I'm gonna start off by saying that I love Sheamus. I think the guy is interesting in all aspects. He's not the typical power guy and he's solid in all areas. He's fresh and entertaining- Let him have a decent run with the title!

I like the idea of Orton v. Sheamus at the Rumble, but I sincerely hope Sheamus keeps the belt. I like the idea of HHH winning the Rumble to set up a HHH/Sheamus fued. That program does have a wealth of potential. It's no secret that Trips and Sheamus are buddies, so it's fair to assume that Trips- who has a history of not wanting to put people over- will do what he can to make Sheamus look strong. It's a win-win situation. Trips captures the gold at Wrestlemania yet Sheamus still comes out looking good.

no ted jr. is not in randys league, he's not even in sheamus league and sheamus just got there. Sheamus has star written all over him. He has the size, look, and potential in his character, and will be huge. I just dont see these same qualities in ted jr. So if sheamus most lose the title. Orton should be the one to take it.

I feel it will be Triple H, who I also think will win the Rumble this year. This year is shaping up to BE the year of The Game. He entered as Tag team Champion, he will win the Rumble, he will go on to beat Sheamus, and then get to feud with Sheamus into the summer.

I think this is Triple H's goal all along with Sheamus, push him right into the main event, and actually make him look legitmate, which is why he won the title.

I think Sheamus will hold the title until WM and will either drop it to Trips there or at Backlash. It's very possible that Trips will let Sheamus go over him at WM because he's so high on Sheamus, he wants to make Sheamus a superstar. Sheamus is doing great as champion, he could have some more TV time, but he's doing the job well when he's on screen. It's great to see a new face holding the title for a while but I think ultimatley it will be Trips that takes it off him.

This is a tough one. 9 times out of 10 it is difficult to figure out who will take the strap from a first time champion. Think about John Cena's first title reign? Until the very end of it, no one could properly predict who'd beat him for the belt. Same with Batista's first reign. When WWE wants someone to be big, they'll book the first world title reign very strongly. And you can tell they want Sheamus to be big, so I think he's keeping the title till Mania at least.

As for who will take the title, well it's either going to be John Cena or Triple H. Cena is supposed to not lose a match till he gets the title back, so obviously he's getting the title back in the near future. And Triple hasn't had the title since April of last year, so he's probably getting some withdrawal symptoms. Either way, one of these two guys is definitely beating Sheamus.

As for who should.... Well, that's just too difficult to tell. Cena and Triple H have both had enough reigns to do them for a lifetime. I wouldn't mind Orton as champion again, but they'd book him badly yet again. And Kofi isn't quite ready. Even if he was, he's not gonna be near the WWE title any time soon because of whatever he did to piss off Orton on Raw. So this question is up in the air right now... But I am hoping another world title virgin stops Sheamus, even though that won't happen.

I don't think anybody will beat Sheamus in the sense of within a feud, and believe it is far more likely that he will lose it in the Elimination Chamber, probably to Triple H or John Cena. If by some fluke, he makes it to WrestleMania, then I think that he will drop it there to one of those two in a singles match. There is absolutely no way that he will be fighting anyone other than the most prestigious of men at WrestleMania, because he's not a big draw, and Kofi Kingston et al aren't yet either. There have been very few Mania title matches that didn't involve a previous Mania main eventer, and those that did always involved two established main eventers.
