Who Was Wrestling's Greatest Rebel?

There was only ONE Rockin' Rebel!! He even has Rebel in his name none of the other wrestlers anyone named were so aptly named. Plue he was a rebel in ECW when the E stood for Eastern. He completely paved the way for it to become Extreme. Without the Rockin' Rebel there'd be no RVD, Lance Storm, Jerry Lynn, or Taz.

But seriously, I'd say Shawn Micheals. With the Sunny Days comments and picking his nose in the Canadian flag. Non-kayfabe him and Marty used to tear it up in the bars I've heard once leading up to Vince firing them. so Shawn.

Their is alot of rebels. One of them is Shawn Michaels. Like stated above, the whole MSG "curtain call," with Nash, Hall, and HHH. Also in mid '97 when he had his feud with Bret, he made a claim that Bret was having sex with Sunny. That's what led to their infamous backstage brawl.

I am a little confused. Are we talking storyline rebel or a rebel that goes against the company and industry?

Against the industry Rebel
VKM -no one else went into other people’s territories before. Other promoters hated him for that. Took balls
Bret Hart -didn’t want to job to HBK, punched and spat on VKM and announced he was going to WCW on live TV
Piper -doesn’t matter who he worked for he made it very difficult to control him. Did almost whatever he wanted to do.
Madusa -Still had the wwe belt and through it in the trash on WCW
Shane Douglas -basically said the NWA isnt shit. and help put ECW on the spot. He's at the bottom because he did say FU to the bigger companies but then he joined WWF/E. He then went back to ECW and then back to WCW. In other words he talk a good game.

Storyline Rebels
Austin -had some of the best feuds with VKM. He did what he wanted to, when he wanted to, and how he wanted to do it.
DX -They too did what they wanted. They also had great moments of rebelling and taking control of wwe.
Piper -I think management didn’t know if he was going to stick to the storyline or go off it and smash something over someone’s head.
CM Punk -he threatened to quit and leave the company if certain demands weren’t met. I only think a small % of that was not a storyline until they saw the crowd responded to him.
HBK -he was in DX so he up there at 2, but as an individual he was always a company man. He was hard to deal with and stepped on people yes, but he always did what was asked at the end of the day and never left when everyone else did.

My pick is Austin with Piper being a very close second. Austin had the whole world wanting to stun their boss. Hell I am sure a few less intelligent people actually did it. None else can really compare to that.
