Who was better in the fued : Lita or Trish Stratus?

OK. This is my first thread so no hating. I checked the first 4-5 pages of all the forum sections that had to do with WWE and i honestly didn't find anything similiar to this. If you created/read/posted in any forums similiar to mine, than please let me know because if I can than I will delete mine. Now onto the forum.

Now we are all probably aware of the Lita/Trish Stratus fued that took place throughout the years. It started when Lita joined the Hardy Boyz and Trish joined T&A. The two teams fueded but this was only the start of the on and off fued between the two women.

They had many great title bouts, with Lita being a daring highflyer and Trish being a great pure wrestler. Their fued was very personal and entertaining to watch. But sadly, their rivalry came to an end, when Trish and Lita had their last match at Unforgiven 2006. This was a title bout for the Women's Championship in Trish's home town of Toronto, with Lita being the champion and Trish being the challnger. Trish was victorious and retired with a storybook ending.

So the question I'm asking simply is : Who was the better person in their fued? Think about the following.

Who caried the fued more?
Who was better in the ring?
Who cut better promo's and has better mic skills?
Who had you on the edge of your seat?

For me, I would have to go with Lita. IMO I think she was definately better in the ring and she was very exciting to watch. She had pretty good mic skills and was obviously the one that kept you on the edge of your seat with her high flying moves. Her promos were decent, if not really good. I think that Lita put more into the fued than Trish did.

So let me know your opinions

Quite a tough call in my book. I'd agree that Lita provided more excitement in the ring with her high flying, Trish was clearly very good in the ring as well though so although Lita was probably better to watch I don't think you can definitively say one was much better than the other. I recon Trish probably edged it on mic skills, certainly in the earlier days but again not by so much that you could say she was miles better and Lita vastly improved in that area when she was paired with Edge.

Overall I'd say that the feud was a 50/50 effort, they both carried it with their different styles and were clearly two of the best "divas" we've seen. Not being one to sit on the fence though, I'll say Lita just because I liked her better.

first of all, i would like to say that i love trish stratus. To me, she is the best there is, there was and ever will be in women's wrestling. she had it all, in-ring skills, mic skills, plus she is the most beautiful woman on the planet!!!
her feud with lita was awesome. i absolutely loved it. i loved it when trish was a face and lita was a heel and vice versa. and since lita is my second favorite, i must say that they both did very well in that feud and they both provided us with the finest female wrestling entertainment ever. seriously, i remember myself watching wwe shows or even ppvs only to follow their storylines.
ok that's all i have to say about that but i still have something i wanna share:
Trish stratus made me cry twice. the first time was the wm20 incident when she turned heel(i actually believed that wwe was not scripted)...and ofcourse the second time was when she retired (i was kinda heartbroken)...but my god her outfit that night was gorgeous.

i gotta go with my Girl Trish as well, only because Lita was doing all her stuff the min she got into the WWE with Essa Rios, where as trish started out as a model/Vallet and developed into one of the, if not then THE #1 women of wrestling. I believe that it didnt matter who the opponent, but Trish vs anyone could have been the first Diva match to either headline a Monday Night Raw, or a PPV. come to think of it, she DID headline a few matches on Raw, teaming up with the likes of HHH.

I can't vote because both are equally good, Lita was more better in the ring and i believe carried all of there matches together even there last one, but when it came to the ring promos Tish whenever she was a heel or a baby could get the crowd to cheer or boo her whiched helped hype up the match because you could really feel the tension before the match began even during the entrances. A fine example would be Wrestle Maina 21 Trish vs. Christy Hemme even though Lita wasn't in the ring you could feel the tension in the air on how badly Lita wanted to be in the ring instead of Hemme. So both women sorta helped each other out for Tish it would be the in ring wrestling because Trish is good but Lita carried it and Trish would help Lita out during the promos and gave her the cheers. Don't get me wrong, there last match Lita was great at getting heat. So both women where a ying and yang to eachother, I believe that no woman is better than the other

I truly believe (despite the fact I am a total Lita fan and have always liked her more) they really elevated each other along the way. Neither of them would've achieved what they did without the other...and their feud was and will always be recognized as classic. It's the kinda feud I always hoped Mickie James/Beth Phoenix would have had as well but sadly we'll never have that it seems...

Lita is WAY better then Trish in every way except for maybe mic skills. Lita carried the fued more she was the better wrestler and had you on the edge of your seat the whole time with her high flying moves. Lita has always been better than Trish, Lita was great from the beginning of her career to the end, however it took Trish two years to actually get decent in the ring.

I never liked Trish I think that she is totally overrated and that Vince kinda forced her on us and thats why people liked her so much. Lita also put more into the fued then Trish did Lita always put her body on the line, Trish didn't. However Trish did have better mic skills. Still Lita was the better in the fued.

Lita is the best diva of all time and the best womans champion of all time, she should have been the 7 time womans champion not Trish she deserved it more.

Well, I voted Trish and she is simply the best as someone else said she has everything and is super hot too!


I do see them being very close on the same level though, just like Rock & Austin infact they are like female versions of Rock & Austin for their time in terms of how big they were and what they did for the division at that time and also they were on the level of greats like Rock, Austin, HHH as a wrestler is a wrestler in my eyes and their superstardom doesnt sink below the level of a guy's because he's a guy, so that's how I look at them.




Anyway I'll say this: They each got a chance to play face & heel in their feuding and Lita's lovely as a face, but she plays a heel better naturally. Trish is better as a face, but plays an equally good heel just like Rock is better as a face, but was great as a heel. But Lita as a face doesnt compare to Trish especially since it's no secret most faces arent that good on the mic and Lita wasnt as someone pointed out until she became a heel. (Paired up with Edge, they said)




So I think that would show one thing more Trish had over Lita then, meaning she carried it a bit more being that speaking is very important in a feud and she had better mic skills, they were pretty evened up until it came to that. And just like I'll always see Rock as a bit better than Austin though Austin was always favored more by Vince, I'll always see Trish as better than Lita by that much more

I think they were both carrying the feud well. They both had good promos and matches.

Who was better in the ring?

Lita was the highflyer, she entertained a lot more. But this is like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Bret is a good mat technician as Trish is, but Shawn is more of a highflyer, like Lita is. But they are both really entertaining.
So again, Lita and Trish were both good in the ring.

Who cut better promo's and has better mic skills?

I'm gonna have to go with Trish on this one. She's just great at it. She can really keep us interested. I think someone above said this, but I'm gonna say it again, Lita improved when she was with Edge.

Who had you on the edge of your seat?

Well, Trish, she was the fan favorite and Trish was my favorite womens wrestler. I was always on the edge of my seat during this feud. But I guess I am being biased because like I said, Trish was my favorite wrestler.


It's a tough choice, but I am gonna have to go with Trish. As of my answers, she has the better vote. I think Lita is great too, though.

Lita all the way , i never cared for Trish at all i never saw what the big deal about her was ,she had mediocre ring skills at best and as far as her looks well....lets be nice and just say shes not my type. I will however give her 1 up as far as mike skills go she was pretty good were as Lita needed some emprovment. but still Lita wins this one imo.

In terms of WHO was carrying that storyline,it was Lita. I mean her other storylines always links to her rivarly with Trish. Look at the Kane/Lita angle, Trish was somehow involved. Even the Edge/Lita era crossed Trish.

My point is without Lita there wouldn't be a Trish and without Trish there won't be a Lita. It was basically a joint effort. They made each other stars that we later learned to love.

Every time someone mentions how awesome of a wrestler Lita was I have to go back to youtube and watch her matches just to make sure I wasn't "trippin" when I saw them the first time. All of her "athletic" moves looked like a bit on the crap. He moonsaults were lackluster and she somehow managed to make the "twist of fate" look awful. She just had bad form all around. The sad thing is, (better) training probably could've taken care of it.

She was a great "character", though. She certainly was one of the first women I saw in wrestling to posses that "cool" factor. She was a female wrestler with a persona that was somewhat original, but let's not get carried away here. . .to call her a great wrestler is a bit much. Even by WWE women's wrestling standards. In all the years she spent in WWE, she NEVER improved. Which is sad because had she ever tightened up her moveset, I'd be marking out over her with the rest of you.

Okay, now that I've gotten that off my chest, on to Trish. Her moveset may've been less adventurous than Lita's but towards the last three years of her career her moves were almost always tight and well executed. Which, for me at least, counts. She was also great on the mic, which is a real rarity in WWE women for some reason.

As far as the feud is concerned, the fact that both women were able to provide actual characters that fans cared about was more than enough to move the feud along and I think it needed Lita's edge and Trish's more traditional femininity contrast to work as well as it did. As much as WWE may try, I don't think it's something they'll be ever to copy again because it was such a random organic thing the first time it occurred.

I'm gonna go with Lita. I beleive what attracted most people to Trish, was her appearance. I'm not saying that she wasn't good by any means. It's just that if is she looked like, say, Mark Henry, she'd likely have fewer fans.
