Who Is Getting Pushed In This Situation?

PeaceAndLove

Dark Match Winner
So i just had my prayers answered as dolph ziggler pinned orton on raw. But now im wondering what you guys think. Is barrett the one really getting a push as he has pinned and screwed orton over in an eight day period. Or do you guys think its time for ziggler to shine? I didnt like how he got no response on the show though :\ but hey everything cant be perfect.

Dolph Ziggler is a raw superstar so it doesn't disrupt the Barret & Orton feud that will continue on Smackdown! Ziggler has nothing to do with this Wade and Randy situation and tonight was to give Dolph a big win (as he is obviously going into the main event scene after he loses & feuds with Ryder for the US title), and a way to further Barret screwing Orton.

On your side note, im happy Miz put out Morrison as he needs to look strong in every way he can. Brodus Clay doesn't need to put out someone on his debut, he just needs to win a match with total domination.

I was thinking the same thing. WWE somehow made ziggler winning look a tad bit irrelevant. The focus was really on the fact the barrett got dropkicked...and that was about it. Ziggler will get a little boost off of this but mainly wade barrett gets the biggest boost. And to your side note, they are doing what they did to ezekial jackson. They hyped him up week in and week out and then when he finally showed up, it was like oh damn I forgot about him. They shoudl have used him tonight after the match considering that he was with del rio for a little bit and smashing cm punk could have made him look stronger

Think you need to watch the show a bit closer buddy. For one, both Ziggler and Barrett are being pushed at Orton's expense. Randy doesn't need to win every night, he's still the face of Smackdown come the end of the night and he's still one of the biggest names the company has, hence why using someone of his stature to elevate guys like Barrett and Ziggler works so well.

Before Barrett pinned Orton, there were people in the Smackdown LD who didn't know what the Barrett Barage was, they only realized once they saw Barrett get the win how much stock WWE have placed into him once again. Ziggler is in the same boat, the dude came out in MSG to a big ovation because even though he plays a heel people admire his abilities, Orton and Dolph put on a great match once again and even though Dolph picked up the win and left looking great, Orton won't be affected by it.

And they noted the Clay situation as well. Laurinitas said he's keeping him off the show because that way Brodus will become angrier-and-angrier so once he does debut he'll be unstoppable. This was in a backstage segment with Otunga, Del Rio and Punk.

From what I saw, Randy Orton's loss was just a way to enhance the feud between him and Barrett. I will not be surprised to see either Orton or Barrett complaining/gloating over the loss tomorrow.

Ziggler has been red hot for a while. He's consistently in the spotlight, whether or not he's winning or losing, he gets air time. Once Ziggler drops the title, I'm presuming that WWE will try to move him into the main event.

Both Barrett & Ziggler are getting big pushes at the moment and deservedly so. Randy Orton is one of the biggest stars the WWE has produced this past decade. He's pretty much done it all in WWE already and he's only 31 years of age.

For the past several months, for the most part, the WWE has used Orton to help elevate the careers of several wrestlers. He lost the WHC to Mark Henry. Not only that, but he lost to Henry clean in both that match and the rematch. He's also helped to elevate Cody Rhodes' stock considerably even though Cody came out on the losing end of their feud. Rhodes came out looking like a star and one of the young guys to watch. Barrett has finally gotten back on track and his win over Orton was a nice surprise. I didn't expect Ziggler to win tonight either. I figured both he & Barrett would've both had strong showings against Orton but would have come up a little short at the end of the match.

Randy Orton losing to Barrett & Ziggler only helps both of them and doesn't take away from Orton. Using Orton's star power to help other wrestlers get to the next level is a perfect spot for Orton at this particular time. Ziggler is ready and Barrett has shown he has what it takes. So yeah, they're both benefitting at the moment.

Where is it written that only one of them can be the one who's benefitting from this situation? Tonight when Dolph Ziggler pinned Randy Orton with help from a distraction by Wade Barrett both men came out for the better. It helps solidify Dolph as the top rising star on Raw and has now shown that he can hang with the WWE Champion in an amazing match from last week and now this week that he can beat a top level guy like a 9 time world champion in Randy Orton. Meanwhile Barrett strengthens his position in his feud with Orton by costing him a win here tonight, and his talk with Cole and Lawler in commentary was a good boost to his legitimacy. Also it probably helped convince alot of folks out there that he is a serious threat to Randy Orton and that he has a real chance of getting past Orton and continuing the Barrett Barage on his road to the World Heavyweight Championship. Personally I loved it, I thought it was great to boost two rising stars in one movement, Randy Orton is a very well respected compeditor and to get a win over him means big things for guys like Barrett and Ziggler.

Sometimes you just need a guy to fill a spot in a match, and this time Dolph Ziggler played that part. As much as I like him, and I think his future is pretty much set there's no hurry to push him into the main event. Let him grow naturally - practice makes perfect.

In this case the story was Wade Barrett and Randy Orton. But you don't want to have them face off again just yet, as they will eventually colid at TLC. So you put in Ziggler, give the man a win, and continue their feud. Orton got screwed over (not really, he was just stupid enough to let himself get distracted - typical face booking..haha...facebooking), so it builds tension between them. I'm not saying it's intelligent booking...if anything it's lazy and stale. But they really just killed two birds with one stone. I for one am ok with Ziggler getting wins and building himself over time, without jumping head-first into some high profile feud, and then flickering out within five months.

Different brands.
Zigglers on RAW

Barrets on Smackdown.

Orton doing the job to both to help them get over is much needed. Ortons program with Rhodes helped get Rhodes over. Barrett can continue to feud with Orton on Smackdown and Ziggler gets the momentum from beating Orton to go into the main event on RAW.

Zigger is in a similar place that he was in a year ago when he feuded with Edge and won his first WHC. He's over just enough but he needs that big feud to hit the main event.

Barrett is finally on track from his first push when he fueded with Cena. At that time Barrett needed a clean victory over Cena to break out. Since that didn't work out Barretts now paired up with the 2nd biggest name in the WWE Randy Orton.

To build future stars the WWE needs to continue this trend. Either way both of these stars are going to be the future of the WWE main event.

I think both of these guys got the push. As mentioned above Randy Orton is in the position now to where he elevates Superstars so victories aren't really as important. The result of this match worked two fold. it gave Ziggler another notch to put on his resume of Superstars he has victories over and it furthers the feud between Orton and Barrett. This should work wonders for Barrett as he has been in need of a feud with anyone for a while now. What better way to get back to relevancy than a series of matches with the #2 guy in the biz.

Both of these guys are getting a push. Orton has been excellent in putting talent over as of late. Rhodes, Barrett, Ziggler, Henry, and I'm positive there is much more to come. Orton has done so much in his career, and it makes sense that at this point, putting talent over is his primary focus. Sure, one more world title run wouldn't hurt, and if he gets it its well deserved.

Ziggler benefits from the win despite using heel tactics. Hell, thats what he's supposed to do. He holds his own during the match despite the interference. Barrett is also benefiting because he got some exposure on Raw and he stays in Orton's sights.

Honestly, both of them are getting pushed in this situation. Barrett and Ziggler are in the process of being prepared to main event their respective brands. Ziggler is a little closer than Barrett, as he is ready the moment the move him up the card. Barrett needs a strong victory in this Orton feud and will be ready to break into the main event scene soon. He has been getting back the momentum he lost during The Corre storyline and when he split from Nexus. Orton is putting them BOTH over as future main eventers and I can easily see both of them in the world title scene soon for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships because they have earned it. I look forward to seeing it happen.
