Who Has The Best Punch In The WWE?

One of the few things I don't like about Cena are his punches, they're not bad per se but you'd figure that someone with a brawler gimmick would have a punch that looked more forceful. I mean, the punches do say a lot about the guy throwing them. Like Flair's, his punches say that I'm not a striker but I'm either "feeling it" right now or I'm desperate.

My favorite punches were The Rock's, Austin's, Shane McMahon's and Kurt Angle's. Rock's just fit his over the top flashy gimmick, Austin's were to the point like his gimmick, Shane's were just the shit, and Kurt's are like he isn't a striker but he throws them as hard as he can.

The best is Undertaker's, the man is a boxing aficionado so there's not surprise there but it's great to see him work.

I'm gonna vote for William Regal's Power of the Punch brass knuckle shot. It always seems so well done to get Regal over as a cheating heel.

As for regular strikes, I'm a huge fan of Kane's uppercut for looking like it would hurt a ton and the Rock's punches always electrify the crowd.

The Rock's punches are my favorite. His dedication to the stomp while punching sells the impact of his own move better than most and riles up the crowd a bit more.

I know slaps don't necassarily count as punches, and I hate to be biased, but man Christian's slaps are absolutely awesome! Unbelievably loud and it just fits his coward heel personna perfectly to slap someone in the face rather than punch them.

As for real punches, gotta agree with most, the theatrics on the Rock's were pretty great, and Kane has one mean uppercut.

Is it just me, or does nobody even sell his punches either in this clip? They look weak and pathetic. I guess one thing I forgot, is that a punch can look only as good as the person who sells it as well.

From that same 1992 Royal Rumble match, that's not even the most egregious case of no-selling. You should go back and watch how the wrestlers (particularly The Barbarian) no-sell Nikolai Volkoff's punches. I actually started to feel bad for him.

Im suprised that noone has said Jeff Hardy as the worst striker because man i just that every punch he through was just awful like he was trying to rush them real quick and just set up for his next spot his punches landed about 10 percent of the time and i mean like you could clearly see he barley touched him. As for the best striker i would probably have to agree with the majority and say the undertaker but he does have the benefit of the ufc gloves to soften the blow so he can strike a little harder so i did like rocks strikes because they were always somethin noone else did and were unique like when he spit in his hand when he delivered is last big blow and gave the little leg wiggle when he stomped. it was just damn entertaining.

What about Raven?

Seriously, thinking back, I'm a massive fan of his work, and I do like his punches, he's another who has his own style.

Looks wise? I'd say Big Shows finishing punch and the undertakers look the best.

entertainment wise im not sure but the rocks punch combo always used to me smile and kanes upercut punch looks so epic!

The Undertaker always had the best & coolest looking punches, to me.

He's a boxing & mixed martial arts fan, and you can tell.

I know it isn't a series of punches, but the Big Show's knock out punch looks like it hurts. Even in replays it seems like a legit punch. he has definitely perfected it over the past couple of years he as used it.
In terms of striking, Undertaker and JBL seemed to have a good delivery. I also think currently Wade Barrett seems to make his punches legit.
The Rock's are among the worst of anyone IMO.

Speaking of JBL, the man had a DAMN good clothesline. Not many could get away with a clothesline as a finisher. Lariat. Whatever.

Gotta give the nod to good ol' Wade Barrah, the man's got skills. It's a bit of a shame he's spent so much languishing with the Corre. The man should have had a solid singles push after he lost control of the Nexus. The Corre never really amounted to anything more than a lame effort to elevate Ezekiel Jackson.

Whenever this comes up, I immediately think of what Foley said about Terry Funk.

He considered Funk to have the best looking punch in the business, and wanted to know the secret behind them. When he got his first match with Funk, he was excited because he was going to find out how Funk worked that great looking punch of his.

In the match, Funk wound up to give Foley a punch, and Mick was estatic because he was finally going to find out Funk's secret.

The secret was Funk just hit him as hard as he could with a real punch :)
