Who Do You Think Replaces Santino In The Elimination Chamber Match?

I just posted this in the official sticky thread about the match:

"I think HBK/RKO might be onto something here. I don't really believe Orton has a concussion either, and it very well all could be kayfabe. They very well could be trying to swerve us, and if they are, they're doing a fine job of it. I could see Orton or Christian working their way into the match, a la what Edge did to Kofi, or something like it, a few years back. The truth is, I'd be highly surprised and shocked if the chamber locked with Santino inside it. In fact, as I write this, I just don't think there's any way that Santino, the WWE's #1 comedic figure, will be placed into this type of match. Could you see Santino in a HIAC? No way. This match? I just don't think so. I think something will happen to Santino, and someone else big will be making a surprise entrance that they're saving for the PPV. Santino is a perfect place-holder, because no one will feel cheated that he won't actually be in the match. I honestly think the card might as well read Rhodes vs. Khali vs. Bryan vs. Big Show vs. Barrett vs. ? quite frankly. I'm calling Santino will be replaced right now with a bigger name."

I wanted to further discuss this here in a spam thread. As I stated above without have to restate it all, I clearly think Santino will be replaced before the bell rings in some way or another. I see either Orton or Christian getting the nod. I'm calling it now.

I seriously doubt Santino will be replaced. Imo it's a good decision actually. Against anyone else except for Cody, DB hasn't got much of a chance of winning but against Santino, DB could easily beat him. I see WWE doing summit similar to last years Royal Rumble, having Santino somehow last to the end with DB and then DB makes him tap out to retain the belt.

It'd be silly to do it after making an entire episode of SmackDown out of it, and there's about zero logic to Orton replacing Santino who initially replaced Orton, unless they intend to turn Santino heel, which, again, makes the approximate sum of zero sense. My guess would be that the initial plan was to have Orton win, which they then decided against, but didn't want Orton to be eliminated, so they ran this story instead, and Santino's place is probably to reprise his role from the Royal Rumble last year, and be eliminated by Bryan for the victory.

Christian not being apart of the match or the event itself(at least advertised beforehand, he may return for a second EC in a row, we can only wait to find out) both flabbergasts and annoys me. Not just because Captain Charisma is full of win but more-so because he was one of the more entertaining performers on Smackdown before his injury and he deserves a good spot on the WrestleMania card in my opinion.

On the topic of Santino, he shouldn't be replaced by anyone. Santino being in the match is a pretty nice thing to see. However, as Harthan suggested in the final line of his comment, DBD eliminating someone like Rhodes or Barrett for the win wouldn't make those two seem as threatening as WWE attempt to make them appear. However DBD taking a victory over Santino would be a perfect fit. I'm still happy Santino is included, he'll bring some comedic flavor to the bout.

No one. Santino is actually pretty over and he can seem like the ultimate of ultimate under dogs in this. I say he gets the biggest pop when he enters the chamber too. Will he win? I doubt it but if he did I’d probably shit a brick that’s for sure.

When I read the spoilers the other day, I remembered back on Sheamus & Santino's feud and just wanted it again.

Accoring to WZ, apparently both Christian & Rey Mysterio are in Milwaukee, which is where the E.C. PPV is. Obviously this could mean nothing, but since I still believe someone will replace Santino, now it could very well be: Christian, Orton, or Mysterio. I'd say even the smallest chance of Henry, although that's much more of a longshot.

And as for someone who said it WOULD be Santino because they wouldn't want Show being the only face- if it were Christian, Mysterio, or Orton, they would get a face-like reaction for sure. So any of them could fill in as a face.

But to get in, they'd have to take out Santino somehow. Which means it wouldn't be Rey, or Orton. Christian is likely, but whoever it was wouldn't pull off being a face, especially with the Santino love there is.

Edge could also be a major cog in the feud between Rey & Christian. Christian could express jealousy over the friendship Edge & Rey developed over the years. It'd be a hell of a way to kick off Wrestlemania as well.

My sentiments exactly. I call it now. We'll see an upset come EC. Santino will do that Cobra-shit on DB and win the SD chamber match. He will, however lose the spot due to some unforeseen circumstance that Teddy Long will reveal on the next SD. Something with Johnny Ace. Stranger things have been known to happen.

EC match, it should be Khali not fucking Santino, Khali is stiff, boring & brings nothing to the match, he's never once been entertaining in any way since coming to the WWE. Santino can wrestle, & is actually entertaining, not to mention he was just put in the match on Fri. taking him out of it 3 days later is just flat out fucking stupid, and makes zero sense what so fucking ever.

17.5% of the entire worlds population is located in India.

The WWE has an office in Mumbai, India.

It would appear that the WWE is investing both time and money in that country, so "the rest of the planet giving a shit less about Khali" is grossly overstated.

You may not like him, hell he isn't great, but he produces for the company in his country of origin and having him in the match helps boost sales.

That makes the most sense. It also gives the fans an underdog babyface to root for in the match. Maybe it could be leading to more serious things down the line for Santino, who knows.
