Who are the worst promo cutters of all time?

I decided to do the opposite of the best promo cutters if you couldn't already tell from the title of this thread. There have been many wrestlers over the years that are so terrible on the mic, that it just makes you laugh. One wrestler in particular that sticks out in my mind is Lex Luger. This clip of him below makes me pee a little each time I watch it.

luger was really bad, but another that wasn't very good was sid vicious. when he got done with the mic, you had to sit around and figure out what the hell he was talking about.

I think today being able to cut at least a halfway decent promo is a prerequisite. I watch AWA on ESPN Classics, and some of those guys have no idea what they're saying. It's just a ton of yelling and nothing is coherent. But probably the worst promo cutter of all time, but also one of my favorites because it's just so unbelievably random, is the Ultimate Warrior. I love them, but they were so over the top and insane:

One of the worst promo's I've ever seen was from a group in WCW before it folded. Mark Jindrak and Shawn Stasiak. They both sucked out loud doing promo's.

This is a promo they were doing with Shane Douglas. It sucked. Really, really bad.

I will say Swagger sucks pretty hard at promos, but not because of the lisp because half the WWE seems to have one (not as obvious as Thwagger's, though). I don't like Swagger's promos because it sounds like he's reading from right off the script. At Christian's return, for example, He waited for the music to cut off to be like "Whoa, whoa, whoa," or w/e he did. He's getting better at body language, which is a plus, but right now I don't blame you for saying Swagger.

I might say Evan Bourne is pretty bad, too, another right-off-the-script reader.

I will have to say the Ultimate Warrior had some the most unintelligible promos of all time I've watched some of those old promos and you can barely figure out what the hell he is even talking about.

The list should start and end with The Ultimate Warrior. I don't care if a wrestler stutters or screws up his lines. You need to be able to understand something more than "ARGHHHHHH UNGGHHHHHH BLAHHHHHHH".

I think if the WWE gave there wrestlers more of a creative control of there characters this wouldnt be as common... We would see alot of new and different styles of promo cutting and maybe we would be so bored with the 2 hours of the new soap oprea RAW Haha im only kidding there but RAW deffently needs to get back with the wrestling and forget all of that soap oprea shit that the WWE is pulling off with RAW... WE NEED MORE GOOD WRESTLING MATCHES ON RAW!!!

I think some of it has to do with the lack of character development. Cena sounds exactly like he did 2 years ago, cutting the same lame-ass promos. Jericho has been calling us hypocrites and liars in the same monotone voice for almost a whole year. So what are we to expect from someone who is just starting out? They have no character at all, and WWE Creative isn't creative enough to give them one.

I feel the need to defend the Warrior. I think his promos were great. He was SUPPOSED to be incoherent and insane. That was his gimmick. I liked how he'd talk shit about parts unknown and going to weird places. He was a lunatic.

to me some of the worst are Orton and Batista these two are part of this era yet they are so boring on the mic. the Bubba and his brother D-von were Great they knew how to control a mic how were they bad. and i have seen a lot worse then Warrior. Batista is about as bad as they get for someone who is so high up on the card.

Maybe so, but they are no where near the worst. Besides give Kofi a chance we have only heard him on the mic once or twice. Even I wll admit Hardy is not that good on the mic but there is alot of improvement in how he cuts his promos, Go check out his stuff from around 2001-2003 and then you will cringe, he has deffo improved. CM Punk,Shelton,Swagger,Batista are all not that great on the mic, I'd put Hardy above most of them.

Who's the worst? Warriors promos from back in the day were rubbish Incorherant crap that I ate up as a kid but looking back realise that they are pretty bad. Now Ortons are the same monotone crap about kicking in the head, Batistas are lame as hell, Flairs have been the same WOOOOOOO for god knows how many years. The art of promo cutting seems to be dying out with each new generation that comes through.

yeah this is true they need to create more diverse types of characters i think that cm punk needs a change deffently i realy dont care for his charater maybe he should turn heel idk he just needs to do sumthin different... for jericho it works and cena is getting very old real quick sumthin there should deffently be done and if i was part of the WWE creative team i would deffentlt go and change a few more of the WWE rosters characters such as r truth jamie noble chavo and mark henery they could all use sum work as far as im concered

I personally would have Bourne or R-Truth come into the ring and tell their story. After all, we need to know exactly who these characters are and how they got here. They should do something like that for R-Truth since almost everyone watching SD has probably forgotten about those pre-debut vignettes by now. The story should be a part of the person, like Rey Mysterio's mask. It needs to make up who they are. Otherwise it really is just another dude fighting, well, just another dude. I believe something like this could work for the Divas as well, since we never see Divas doing promos anymore.
