Which WWE Superstars Do You See Potential In, But Need Time Off To Improve Ring Work?

The idea that any wrestler needs to improve in the ring to be successful is just stupid. The fact is, most wrestling fans couldn't care less about someone's "ability" in the ring. They care about their personality and charisma. To get by, the only things a wrestler needs in the ring are to be exciting for the majority of fans and to be technically sound. By that, I mean they need to be able to perform and take a variety of manoeuvres without injuring themselves or anyone else.

The concept of this thread makes no sense to me. You don't get better in the ring by taking time off, thereby NOT wrestling. What? You get better by wrestling more and getting more experience under your belt. I would think that would be common sense. You don't get better at something by not doing it anymore, all that will do is give you ring rust when you come back.

As for who could get better in the ring, Riley is one name that comes to mind. I don't think he's bad, but he's pretty average and with some improvement he could get closer to becoming a star on Miz's level.

Otunga as a lawyer sounds pretty cool, but yeah, I'd choose him to take time off to get more training. The guy is, to quote Bill Demott, "greener than goose shit." He doesn't have match impact in anything he does and nothing is fluent.

Clarence Mason with muscles basically. Still, would be interesting. She's the only manager they have and they're trying to make her into a more old-school manager with a stable of clients. Otunga has the look... not much else right now. At least he'd have a character as Vickie's client/stable lawyer. Everyone hates lawyers... natural heels. Heh.

Improving in the ring won't necessarily equate to hitting the big time in WWE but I do think having enough of a moveset to be able to tell a story in the ring is required to be over. That said, I do see tremendous potential in Alex Riley to become the next big thing. I think he's capable on the mic (especially if you've seen his work on NXT 2) but a tad bit green in the ring. He's not horrible mind you but he needs some seasoning. He's a greenhorn and I think it shows. I certainly wouldn't go so far as having him demoted to FCW though. The only time I'm really supportive of wrestler taking time off is not when they have to improve in the ring but when they need to have a gimmick repackaging.
