Which Mid-Carder Would You Like To See Pushed To The Main Event Picture?

All depends on how people hold their spots after the draft...

Miz, should work on a main event spot on smackdown, he's getting buried on raw and I don't believe has a shot at a top spot on Monday; at least not right now.

Ziggler, can make it in the spotlight on Raw, but needs something to set him apart; he is great in ring. I think they should just let him loose on the mic for a month or two and see what happens.

Rhodes, Coming to Raw; he will pick up the ball and run with it cause he can. Hopefully he gets that one good feud that brings him up to the main event. If they leave him on Smackdown then he needs a feud with Bryan.

Sheamus/Bryan are both there and I hope it is a permanent place for both of them.

R Truth; stick to funny/angry with a little less crazy and he can push that glass ceiling up a few floors. By cut down on crazy I don't mean get rid of little jimmy, just stop talking about spiders....fuckin' weird.

Santino; needs feuds...real FEUDS, then we will see. But, he gets a reaction.

With Del Rio and Christian coming back, these guys are gonna have to work.

Assuming Rhodes counts as a midcarder, hes the obvious pick.

Otherwise. . . . NONE!

Lets take a step back and think about all the guys WWE has shot into ME recently:

Miz, Bryan, Punk, Sheamus, Delrio, Christian, Henry, Kane, Show, Ziggler(to an extent, and apparently Wade was the next to rise with MITB (though I have no idea why given the other choices).

Eventually you have to think a couple of these guys need to take the World title again to stay relevant. Only two guys can be champ at a time (two brands) with one or two contenders. What do the rest of these guys do. And the list doesn`t even cover orton and cena.

Hopefully Rhodes and Dolph can break through before the roof closes for another 3-5 years because they`ve done everything there is to do below that level and circling around it with multi tag titles will just make them future christians( all the respect to the world to that guy but come on he`s been dealt a bad hand his whole career).

I'm going to pick 3 and the most obvious ones would be Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett all 3 amazing wrestlers and good on the mic hopefully all of them become world champ this year.

Might get a lot of heat for this, but santino marella. He is honestly pretty good in the ring, great on the mic, and he winning titles and we are seeing him more. All he needs for it is a good few more wins over people like jack swagger, dolph ziggler, and some other heels for the crowd to believe he is not just a jobber anymore. Plus, did anyone else hear the crowd when he won the us title. I dont think there was a person in that arena who wasnt standing up and at least clapping, it was huge.

Definitely Ziggler, it is a crime that man hasn't had a real world title run. Barrett is awesome too and Rhodes for sure. They'll have their time.

I think Dolph and Kofi.
Dolph already has the mic skills and tremendous wrestling ability, he just needs more than 2 minutes to be able to talk on the mic. i can see him pulling off good feuds and matches with some of the top babyfaces.
Same with Kofi when it comes to the mic issues, he needs time to develop his promo skills, we already know he can pull off good matches and spots but it doesn't really mean much when your stuck dwelling in the mid-card ranks fighting the same people. i wonder what it would look like with a heel turn from him? but that doesnt seem likely to happen. i can't see a mean streak in him. but hell he could surprise us.

Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes.

Are there any others? I mean, Alberto del Rio's popularity has jumped off a cliff; Sheamus may be getting his shot soon; Sin Cara (and Wade Barrett to a lesser extent) have been trainwrecks; Santino doesn't really need to become other than what he is; and The Miz is a bona fide main-eventer, charges of burying notwithstanding.

Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes both are crazy talented, greta in the ring and on the mic, have huge charisma and compelling gimmicks that garner a good crowd response. Both in my opinion would make excellent world champions and will be within the next year.

A slightly less obvious choice would be Hunico... don't laugh just yet. I don't mean right now but given a bit of a repackage and some time I think he could be great. He is a big guy, seems to be at least passable on the mic and can do all the exact same amazing lucha-libre type stuff rey and Sin-Cara can. I think if WWE let him do this a bit more often and tweaked his charcter to not just resemble a Mexican gangsta stereotype he could do ok.

Outside of Rhodes and Ziggler, I'd like to see Ezekiel Jackson. If he can ever get time to speak and actually speak well on the mic, he could take over Mark Henrys spot once the WSM retires or contract expires. Zeke has a good look, but needs work in the ring. However if he's just going to bulldoze people like Henry, then just have him work on his promos.

I'm not including guys like Dolph, Wade and Cody, because I don't really see them as just midcard. They're above that at this point. Upper Midcard, due to how they always seem to winning a World Title despite never winning one (well, in Dolph's case, holding one for a few minutes).

If we're going by straight midcard, I'd say just give more material for Ted DiBiase and he could be a huge star. He's getting really over with the DiBiase posse and he's a great wrestler, but he needs a personality. As a face, he's showing a lot more than as a heel, but if he could just do what Daniel Bryan did with his character, I'd say he deserves to be at least where Dolph, Wade and Cody are.

Cody Rhodes could get a push after WM28....have him lose the IC belt to Big Show and go after Sheamus(IF he wins his match). I believe that would start a good feud right there.

Santino got his push after he did better then expected in Chamber match, and with him winning the US Title he wont be a main eventer anytime soon.

I would have to go with Kofi. Just by some of the stuff he has done in the ring alone that other cant do or have not done yet. Like climbing the ledder when it was stright up in the air, I know Henry held it but you know how fast he had to be so Henry didnt have to hold it to long and keep his balance. The handstand at the royal rumble was impressive.
He had a good feud with Randy Orton, and I honestly thought at that time he was entering that level. You can not say be bad on the mic he really doesnt use it, so you cant really cant judge. I mean they gave the Miz a shot.
Other notiable wrestlers I think would be Ziggler, Santino (you remeber when he wasnt a complete joke and he beat Umaga for the int champ),R-truth, and Swagger. I thought Swagger was a good champ.

okay .. as we have seen I would have to agree .. Rhodes, DiBiase, Kingston, Kidd, Ziggler, Truth, Santino .. any of these guys would be good main eventers. All of them have the IT factor, but are you forgetting just like them they all started out as nobodys, They worked so hard to get where they are, some of these guys McIntyre hes getting a push (dont get me wrong) but hes not the Brooklynn Brawler or Barry Horwits, Drew is an awesome performer, what was it 5 months into being on SD he wont the IC title, less than a year Lesner won the heavyweight, so I mean if you have the right push and will-power anything is possible.

My pick is Jack Swagger all the way. His numerous assets need not be repeated, we all know what they are. I just think it somewhat unfortunate that he's fallen so far down the ladder. It makes me wonder, is there anyone else who has won a MITB, then held a world title, and then regressed so dramatically? Right off the top of my head I can't think of anyone else. You might say Kane, but he's still got a match at WrestleMania against Orton, so not that's not quite the fall from grace Mr. Swagger has endured. Everyone remember when he almost turned on Michael Cole? There was this moment where Jack Swagger suddenly got really mad at Micheal Cole, he looked legitimately pissed off, and where he is generally kind of a goofy heel, there was nothing goofy about him. He looked pretty intimidating and I thought at that moment "Damn, if this guy got a mean streak going he'd be one scary son of a bitch". I think that's the route they should go with him, let his character be serious and mad, let him come out and take his frustrations out about being made into a joke or a punchline. I mean for God sake, he was beat for the U.S. title by Santino. Nothing against Santino but seriously bro? Swagger's time may still come. I think the WWE knows that they've got something with him, they just aren't sure what to do with him. Maybe after Mania' he can begin some kind of conquest towards something better, I think it would be a waste of a perfectly healthy Superstar with a lot to offer if they didn't do something more with him.

Cody Rhodes, I love his gimmick, and he pushed it a few times, by saying he was going to do an Ultimate Warrior, unifying both titles, which should happen. Plus, his gimmick is amazing (was amazing) as the cheating, Broken Rhodes (except without the sucky promos). But other then that, he's funny, has the mic skills, and the charisma skills. I would like to see him and someone like CM Punk with a Pipe Bomb vs All Punks past failures (Like Rhodes is doing to Show now) Or I think the best feud would be with him holding one title, Jericho holding the other, and an undisputed championship feud.

Dolph Ziggler. I have to say this. He needs a BETTER push. He was in main events at one point, but was a terrible storyline. Ziggler is amazing with his charisma skills, and as soon as his name is heard people boo him. I think a good feud would be Ziggler and Cena, both can make good, funny comments (even though I hate Cena). Except Lose Vickie first, her character is so annoying.

Santino Marella is my main one. He's entertaining, great in the ring, and can cut a good promo when actually given a chance too. I think he could make a great world champion one day.
